Request for Adminship

Hello everyone. Today I am requesting for administrator. Recently, I noticed that most of the admins and b-crats aren't that active here. I really want to help this wiki which in my opinion still needs some improvement. I think I would be a good administrator. I'm editing here for almost 5 months, and I believe I'm ready to become one. I have 1,257 edits in total, and my username is at the 3rd place in the leaderboard. I also meet all the requirements for becoming an admin. With administrator's privileges, I would:

  • Block vandals and sockpuppets
  • Delete pages that are not needed
  • Revert vandalism if there is any
  • Help users and answer their questions
  • And many more!

On the other hand, I have never liked blocking people because I dislike conflicts. However, I will make sure that I will block user when that is needed to help this wiki.

Please vote in the poll below if you think I deserve to be an admin or not, and also make sure to leave a comment saying which option did you choose.

Should Chuck123456 become an admin?

The poll was created at 11:53 on August 26, 2016, and so far 14 people voted.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave it in your reply. Also if you voted "No", it would be nice to explain why, but remember, I am not forcing you. Have a nice day!

Wybacz, ale nie wiem jak. Mógłbym zobaczyć co da się zrobić.

I noticed that 3 users voted, but only one of them stated his choice in comment. Please remember to leave a comment saying which option did you vote. Anonymous votes are invalid.

I vote Yes, because you are a nice guy ;)

You're more active than any of the admins, and you seem fit for admin, so yes.

Never use a poll in a discussion like this (hence I didn't vote in the poll). Comments are much better, plus the wiki has Support Support — , Oppose Oppose — , and Comment Comment — templates.

Comment Comment — I can't really go off character as I don't know you that well, but you have been pretty consistent in activity in the last three months. Edit count and badge total don't matter to me (they really don't indicate whether someone's qualified); it's how constructive those edits actually are. An Admin position requires a deal of maintenance and some of the best Admin preform Admin-like duties before even being an Admin. I've seen some of that in your edits. I'd implore you though to do more. Your edit diversity isn't terrible (some template editing is always good), but most of your recent edits have been as comments or the forum games. I do like that you've started adding references directly to articles.

I'm not actually going to give a vote; I just wanted to add my observations (independent of the wiki's criteria). Regardless, as I stated yesterday, the wiki needs help.

I understand. Do you think I should get rid of the poll (users have to vote in comments anyway, because anonymous votes are invalid), or should I keep it? Anyway, thanks for your advice. I guess I need to focus more on mainspace edits, and obviously on how constructive the edits are. About the duties, I'm very often checking the recent changes and Wiki activity to make sure everything is okay. I don't know if any of admins regularly check the recent changes or even Wiki activity, because there were 9 pages to deletion for a while. In fact, they were deleted after I notified one of admins. I think edits as comments or the forum games are kind of useful, though. An admins need to be social and interact with community. I like your knowledge about Wikia, by the way.

Yes. Polls can be manipulated and it's harder to be deceptive with actual accounts (also keep in mind that Wikia Staff won't take polls into consideration for anything so it's a good standard to use). I'd recommend focusing on as many aspects of the wiki you have knowledge with. Pages to delete is something an Admin should always be looking for, even if on the wiki for a short time each day. And yes, being social is an important part of being a member of the community, not just as an Admin, but don't let that be the primary thing you are doing (after all, you don't need to be an Admin to interact with others).
