School of Shock: This episode was pretty good. Not one of my favorites, but I thought the beginning, with Lisa correcting/interrupting Miss Allegra (coupled with her reactions), was really funny. Unfortunately, it kind of went downhill from there. The middle section of Lisa teaching her classmates was kind of mediocre, although Lisa bringing in the dinosaur was a pretty cool and interesting idea, and it was nice to see the return of characters like Darcy and Dare-Bot. The ending was alright, but it felt a little to childish, which is understandable for a 1st grade episode albeit, but it was nice to see Lisa learn her lesson about actually trying to connect with the students and not just lecture them, which is something I think a lot of teachers could learn. Overall, this episode is really just 11 minutes of decent material. It's not great, but it does have it's good moments, especially towards the beginning. - 3.5/5
Electshunned: Oh man, I was SO hyped for this episode! I'm a giant political junkie, so the plot of this episode really had me interested. And, well, it did not disappoint! I LOVED this episode! The political satire was executed really well, especially the mudslinging between Leni and Mayor Davis, and it felt like a lot of what I witness online: people who really agree with each other on most issues bicker endlessly over the few they disagree on. And Leni's realization that she was being too aggressive, and that she could actually work from the outside to have Mayor Davis implement many of her ideas, is something, again, I think a lot of people could learn. Overall, this episode was excellent, especially for a political science major like myself, and by far my favorite episode of season 5 so far! - 5/5
No Buss No Fuss: It had to happen eventually. I honestly didn't think there were any bad episodes throughout season 4. Its worst episodes were either ones where I couldn't really do anything besides shrug my shoulders and say, "it's alright," or "Kings of the Con," which had a lot of pretty bad stuff going for it, but there were enough redeeming qualities to make it decent. This, on the other hand, is the worst episode since "Antiqued Off" (I don't know the general consensus on that episode, but I didn't like it). This episode was not good at all. It was incredibly boring, some of the scenes (mainly the plane and boat scenes) were incredibly stupid (and I don't mean that in a good way), and it's overall just a major letdown, since most "Lincoln and friends" episodes are really solid. But this is a set back for sure. The ending was pretty solid, though, so that bumps the episode up marginally. - 1.5/5
Resident Upheaval: Phew! Thank goodness we got something good out of this weekend of premieres! I really, really liked this one! For starters, it was nice to see an episode where Lincoln and Clyde are at conflict with one another (we haven't really seen that kind of episode, at least not in a while), it was great to see characters like Pop-Pop and Scoots again, and the boys dressing up as their grandmothers and competing for the room was fun to watch! One of the best episodes of the season so far, I'd say. - 4.5/5
So, overall, it was a decent weekend for premieres. Hopefully, next weekend's episodes are better. They do sound interesting though, so fingers crossed.
Hey, worst case scenario, if I REALLY think Season's Cheating is gonna be bad going into it, I may just watch April Fools Rules right before it, since anything I watch after that episode is almost guaranteed to look good in comparison.
@TheGoodSirRyan How about no?
Well, first of all, it's snowing here in Massachusetts today, which sucks.
But I'm probably gonna throw a DIY costume together and go to some events around my college campus.
OK, I actually did kind of giggle when I read the synopsis for Season's Cheating. It's so comically stupid! Then again, I thought the plot for A Fridge Too Far sounded stupid at face-value, but I ended up really liking it. Similarly, with Ruthless People, after that episode came out, but before I watched it, I saw everyone seemed to hate it, but I watched it, and I honestly didn't think it was bad at all. Maybe it hasn't aged too well, but I still think it's pretty good. With season 5 so far, it seems like they're trying to portray Lincoln in a lot better and more likeable light, so I think this episode does have potential, in spite of its stupid-sounding plot. I have no idea what to expect, but I hate how people are dunking on it with over a month before it airs.
I vote out Katherine Mulligan.
I vote out Luan.
I vote out Cristina and the girl right above Stella (I honestly have no clue what her name is).
Luan and Lily
Luan
Alright, then I vote out Luan.
Do we vote out someone?
Any episodes you like that a lot of other people hate? For me, it's Deep Cuts, Ruthless People, and Out on a Limo.
Leni
Benny
Benny
I vote Benny out.
I'm honestly really surprised Benny made it all the way to the top five.
