I've been thinking lately. With fans of the show feeling pretty mixed with the show's episodes or seasons so far, it has me questioning the future of the show. Especially with the movie on the way. And while Savino was still working on the show, he stated that the movie would be nothing like the show. But that was before he got fired, and now he has no relation with the show anymore so what he said might not be the case anymore. Which does have me worried. We've had great episodes like Last Loud on Earth or A Pimple plan, bad episodes like Kings of the Con, and even mixed episodes where the plot is interesting but not something that should be looked back at again like No Such Luck. I personally feel there are two kinds of episode plots in this world: Those that experiment(well-developed, exploratory and very entertaining episodes), and those that are safe(poorly developed, predictable and at times un-entertaining episodes). At the moment I feel The Loud House is a mixed bag which can cause mixed opinions which soon leads to controversy. Fans are pretty divided on how they see the show. Either they do or don't. It drives me crazy but it's their opinions and I do not complain with other people's choices. Bottom-line, I feel the loud team could try to be more experimental with it's episodes. And there's one show that I feel is a great example of this, Thomas the tank Engine. Now I know what many of you may be thinking, "Tobias that show's for kiddies!!" In its current season it is. Hear me out. Thomas and Friends used to have its episodes based off the Rev W Awdry's stories. After he passed away, the crew of the show decided to make original episodes for season 5 to build up for a movie(which unfortunately bombed). And look at the insane episodes they came up with. I mean what kind of kiddie show would have tons of crashes, paranormal activity, near death experiences, scary clowns, or even explosions! It's these kind of plots that tried to increased the target audience and popularity. And if it weren't for the flop of Thomas & the Magic Railroad and maybe season 8, the show could've gone in a much better direction. If the Loud House followed Thomas' example with Season 5 episodes there could definitely be an increase in ratings. Here are some ideas I came up with:
-Lucy hears about an ancient burial ground outside of Royal Woods. she decides to investigate with Lisa by her side. But end up coming across more than they bargained for.
-Stella comes over to visit Lincoln only to find out he is already out with his parents and takes the time to get to know the rest of his family.
-During a school field trip, Lincoln and Clyde get separated from the class and now they have to find their way back to the class but keep running into trouble at every turn.
-One of Lisa's inventions goes awry and brings a video game character or two into the real world! And now they're reeking havoc across Royal Woods! It's up to the Louds and Clyde to catch them and put them back in their righful spot in the game world!
That's pretty much it from me. I'm pretty sure there will be some people of the show who think I'm talking a bit too much but I just wanted to speak what was on my mind. I'll leave a link in this post to the darkest Thomas episode just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
Do you guys think the show could use any improvement?
