@PenBird2000 Yep, they are, though unfortunately, it's kind of what comedy, in general, has kind of de-evolved into in recent decades: they say humor is becoming "more sophisticated,' but really, it's quite the opposite: it's all about getting the quickest and easier laughs as frequently as possible.
@ClassicHollywood Yes I like the show and my point is Savino gets defended by toxic fanbase compared to how people defended Trump, that is all.
And about the first question, I already answered that, however just because I like it does not mean I can't point out it's flaws. Since 2004 I've been reading One Piece weekly and still do to this day but I would point out what Oda missed or how he wrote the story but still liked the series.
So I guess you didn't understand anything about the show's development and Clyde's. But absolutely nothing. These characters are only growing, although they are always themselves ... but, as I have already said, you do not accept all this change anyway, pretending that everything will return as before. And I don't agree, because then if he comes back as before he will become terribly uninteresting and very boring.
Besides, Clyde is not getting worse at all. Indeed, it is improving a lot. It is becoming more determined and less insecure. For example, in Snow Way Down he overcame his fears of dizziness and danger to help and save Lincoln and his fathers. He also became less obsessive and more friendly with Lori, as shown recently in some episodes and in two official comics (as showed here under, for example). It no longer shows its usual annoying behaviors such as nasal bleeding or robotic language. And this is a nice good development .... but it seems that you didn't notice any of this, because you were probably too busy complaining about this show to realize the small but real positive changes .... maybe you were a rather demanding and uncontainable type. But who knows.
I hope that after my observation and discussion you can decide to give the show and some characters another chance. ?
But why romance plots? The show doesn't need romance plots in order to be interesting. I always thought the show is about the Loud boy surviving his big family and nothing else. I'm aware Lincoln should not given too much focus and let his sisters give spotlights. I don't mind said plots, but if it's pandered to the shippers, then it's hard pass. Especially Luna and that blonde girl.
I heavily agree with you. The show DOESN'T need romance plots to make it interesting. Plus I don't like romance, it's overrated and cliche. I have a bad feeling it's gonna go down that route if they focus on romance because it's fan pandering.
About the humor, it's nothing, but poop jokes, fart jokes and unfunny lines by Leni. There's no clever jokes in this season at least my perspective. Oh wait, there's no such thing as clever jokes in every season. And lastly, Clyde is getting worse and worse by being a total paranoid and creep rather than geeky and awkward boy.
Leni is seriously unfunny, I felt they're over exaggerating Leni's dumb moments much. (Well the Game Off thing is different because it was a diversion). The jokes are absent especially in Season 4A. Yeah, Clyde is a bad character imo.
I'd say the show improved after Chris Savino left. Lincoln's sisters have gotten more depth, the show's world has gotten more interesting, and the plots are more enjoyable.
I feel the show improved when he left
Why are you starts making assumptions about other people you disagree with?
I personally appreciate it when shows take the time to develop their characters and allow them to grow and evolve overtime, and TLH has been no exception to that. When the show focused mainly on Lincoln, with his sister portrayed from his perspective, they were all one-dimensional, that one dimension being whatever their default personality was (i.e. Lynn being the jock, Luan being the clown, Lola being the brat, etc.) Since then, however, Lori's gone from being the Alpha Bitch who uses the "born first" card to assert her superiority over his siblings to being the kind of big sister you would go to for help and advice; Luna's gone from being the feisty and plucky wannabe rockstar to showing her us insecure and vulnerable side in worrying about her future and career; Luan's gone from being the crazy clown to being a caring and compassionate person who wants to make people happy; Lynn's gone from being a brash, aggressive, and competitive jock to showing she, too, has a good side, and wants to be a good big sister; Lucy's gone from being the perpetually gloomy and morose goth to showing that she too just wants to be accepted for who she is and included with her other siblings; and now, even Lola's still evolving, going from being the spoiled, entitled, selfish, coniving, manipulative little bitch that she was to also being more thoughtful, considerate, and compassionate.
Unfortuantely, there's the issue with Lincoln seemingly Flanderized from being the man with the plan he once was, to basically being "dumbed down."
Now, we just need a little more development for Leni, Lana, and Lisa (to a lesser extent).
But really: if you don't take the time to allow your characters to grow and experience some changes within their arcs (for good or bad), they become stale and boring.
@LampLoudTheThird Kikka always does that. She can't handle when people find Clyde boring, bad character or other stuff they say.
^ Oh, ? but my dear friend, This time it's not for the criticism on Clyde but that on the show and the development of the characters in general. In fact, I can't understand PenBird200's point of view on this show, it seemed a bit exaggerated for me. At least, I believe. ??
On Clyde, it's another matter. By now I have already accepted the idea that Clyde is a character considered annoying by other fans for some things. Sometimes, he can create annoying features even to Clyde fans like me. For example, I can't stand his crush on Lori and his excessive obsessive attitude when he's anxious. That's the only thing that annoys me about him, I've already said it even on Clyde's page. I can even list some flaws of my other favorite characters. For example, I can't stand it when Lana overdoes it with dirt. Or when Lucy continues to admire Edwin's statue. For example, I expressed some annoyance to Lana in the Community Disservice episode. But that doesn't stop me from loving them. It doesn't matter if some characters do annoying or boring things, I just love them. ?Everyone has different tastes and different opinions, and obviously everyone has the right to express opinion and defend what they believe. ?
What do you think?
