@JustPeacchy Exactly. It was very much in-character for her. As passionate as Lynn is about her sports, I see her as being the type of person who feels she doesn't need a man or a significant other to complete her life.
My opinions of the episode: This episode was very decent. So, Lynn is not interested in romance stuff contrast to this boy she met in "L is for Love"? Personally, I don't really mind, as long as I find this episode enjoyable. For the longest time, I never knew that most of Lynn's female teammates are also in a relationship, and this constant situation where Lynn and Dexter were shown as BF & GF was funny. At least things had worked at the end between the two. I'll also give credit to show a lesbian couple in the show, just like how Clyde's dads are gay. 9/10
Looks like Lynn will have to find a new love interest who is a jock and a little smart.
Honestly I really liked the episode but there was something disappointing about it. Guess I'll give it a 9/10
I do like it when they show LGBT Couples as being as normal as they can be and treated like everyone else...
They've yet to make a big deal out of any of the LGBT characters on this show. Not once has it ever been called into question, or treated like it's something that shouldn't be, nor do you ever hear any of the characters out-right state, "Oh, so-and-so is gay/bi-sexual/whatever." That's just how you go about it: LGBT people simply exist, end of story. TLH has been doing a great job of it so far, and they've got balls to be so brave about it - especially since the current sociopolitical climate of our world is trying to revert back to the days where LGBT had to remain in the closet and hide away from the rest of society.
Cute episode, but a little disappointing. Not because of Francisco's absence, not only.I didn't really like this episode sso much because it seemed not to be very well developed and it almost happened in a rather hurried way. Lynn lied to her friends saying she finally had a new boyfriend as she actually didn't and didn't even confess at the end that it was all a fiction, and neither did the friends apologize to her for neglecting her because of their partners. The story of exploiting a fake engagement doesn't seem like a very positive thing, and I didn't find the whole initial part of the episode as much fun.Fortunately, there were also positive things in this episode: In the end, Lynn confesses to Dexter that she is not very inclined to lead a relationship, as she hates romance a little. This episode also teaches that it is not important to have a romantic partner if you are already happy even so. Having a romantic partner doesn't necessarily mean it's the only thing that can lead you to happiness. No, you can be happy even without a partner and without extreme romance. A nice lesson for singles, therefore (And I'm single). Another nice thing is that the crew wanted to represent another LGBT couple in the show. And this romantic moment between the two girls was short but exciting. I was pleasantly surprised by the show's courage to include other new LGBT characters.
A nice 7.5 / 10
"and neither did the friends apologize to her for neglecting her because of their partners"
To be fair, I mean, a lot of youngsters are kind of like that at that age, and even a little older through high school and such: they kind of zero-in on their partners and sort of void everyone else around them out, so I can kind of see why Lynn's friends were so into their couples things as they were.
The episode was ok/ decent to me. I liked the message in that it's ok that you're single and the others are dating. Also I feel people were able to related to Lyn in this episode.
I did thought she was abit mean to Dexter but it was cool in the end that Dexter played along and it wasn't for the burgers alone. Granted I thought that extra straw at the end was for Dexter as in they were just friend but I guess it make sense why he vanish after the "break up" (didn't had alot in common).
Also it was nice to see Fang again too and lastly, the girl couple are cute together!
Oh as for the whole Fransico retcon, I didn't cared as much compared to Ronnie Ann/ Lincoln as Lyn isn't my favourite.
WartortleWill "Dehydrated" is another word for thirsty which I guess also means she wasn't thinking straight when you are VERY thirsty (and no I don't mean that in a +18 way).
What do you think?
