@Starkstar502 It could also be considered a bold-faced lie that you take different opinions lightly. And while it is in the minority, there is also some people who agree with me.
I’ll respect you if you respect me.
It's a lie because he has provenseveral times to be a character. He's understanding, caring, agreeable and he does anything to help anyone in need, his family and his friends.
Yes, he is.... in some episodes. Other times, he is selfish and petty. The problem with him is that he is unable to balance these traits, so I can’t even see him as well-rounded. He isn’t selfless and he isn’t selfish. He just... exists. And that’s boring.
No, he is selfless and caring in most episodes, one where's he not selfish at all.
Agreeing to do chores for his parents in "Sibling Speak".
Pretending he clogged the toilet when actually it was Lucy.
Setting off all of Luan's pranks to protect Ronnie Anne.
Helping Mr. Grouse on Christmas
Helping Pop-Pop get his zest back
Helping Clyde learn to be a big brother.
Including Principal Huggins in his comic (but so did Clyde).
Helping Lily not swear
Helping replace Lola's photo in "Out of the Picture".
Trying to get Lynn Sr.'s job back (but so did his sisters).
Pretending that ARRGH! was real for Clyde's sake.
Teaching his sisters how to persuade their parents to give them money.
Helping Lola improve her reading skills.
Helping Lola in "Gown and Out".
Giving Leni advice in "Everybody Loves Leni".
Looking for a present for Lynn Sr.
Helping with Ricky's funeral.
Helping Stella get her music box back
Helping Clyde with Emma (but their other friends also did that).
Thwarting the Millers' plan.
Showing his classmates the video of Mr. Bolhofner to get his reputation back.
To reiterate, these are episodes where he has no selfishness at all.
Like every other well-behaved kid ever? He is special for that why?
One of his more selfless acts that I felt was precious.
Once again, a forced plot element because there needs to be conflict.
His siblings did that, too.
I don’t even remember that episode
While also faking everything, disadvantaging his best friend
Yeah, so did Clyde.
His sisters did that, too
Don’t remember that one
Yeah, so did his sisters. Was that even his idea?
A pretty minor example and just doing it for the sake of a happy ending
Only because the plot said so
Which is a plot hole in of itself because Lola could read just fine in Ties That Bind
Lori was the main source of help though, not Lincoln.
Because he needed to be in the episode
His sisters did that, too
And failing miserably
The other classmates helped, too
Yup, so did his other friends
Clyde helped
His friends helped
No matter how many selfless moments he has, it doesn’t stop how selfish he can be in other episodes. Therefore, he is not balanced and just becomes the puppet for the plot’s show.
First of all, I never said that number 1 makes him special. Second of all, WHAT I THINK?! I think you just lost faith! You treating what you say is fact, when you never asked the creators themselves.
Have you?
Have you?
I don’t wanna cause trouble, but the both of you, stop. Just let each other be and stop arguing over this. You’re both entitled to your own opinions, so don’t try to change or force your thoughts on each other. And... you know what...
I’m gonna tell LuanLoud14 to lock this post, no matter who gets the last word.
I’ll agree if they agree.
