Trivia[]

  • Lexi DiBenedetto considers this to be one of her personal favorite episodes.[1]
  • This episode reveals the following:
    • Zach does not like to sleep during sleepovers because of the possibility of somebody pulling a prank on him while he is asleep.
      • Two of the possible pranks he mentioned upon his arrival, getting his face drawn on and getting his eyebrows shaved off, are likely callbacks to how in the Loud House episode "Pasture Bedtime", he, along with Lincoln, Clyde and Rusty, ditched Liam's sleepover to attend Girl Jordan's pool party, and while at the pool party, he got tattoos on his face and used hair dye that caused him to go bald, which Liam found out about when they woke up.
    • Rusty always lifts barbells 1,000 times before bed.
    • Charlie's grandmother is still alive, and she makes saltwater taffy that Charlie considers to be "the best in all of Tennessee".
    • Liam's alarm clock has the sound of a rooster crowing.
    • Luna's manager wants her to begin performing country songs, but Luna does not like this idea because she cannot get ahold of the lyrics due to always listing things.
    • Lola has competed in so many pageants, she has memorized how the audition process works.
    • As a kid, Bobby's biggest dream was to have a sleepover, but he never got the chance because he always had to work on the weekends. The closest he ever got to having a sleepover was when the Casagrande mercado received a midnight produce delivery, and he slept on a pile of avocados and tortillas.
    • Two proverbs that Liam's mee-maw taught him include, "Don't hitch your wagon to a three-legged horse" and "Never second-guess true love".
    • Zach is allergic to shrimp.
  • Lori and Bobby reenact their first date in this episode. True to how the Listen Out Loud episode "Lori Loud" reveals that they misinterpret how their first date went, Lori mentions how on their first date, they ate pizza and Bobby pretended to like bubble tea, when they actually went to Jean Juan's French Mex Buffet and had many accidents.
  • Liam's crush on Luna marks the second one-sided romance between one of Lincoln's friends and one of his sisters in the franchise, after Clyde's crush on Lori in Seasons 1-3 of The Loud House.
    • Unlike Clyde, who remained in love with Lori despite knowing about Bobby as her boyfriend, Liam was able to end his romance with Luna very quickly after hearing her mention Sam.
  • Lori's subplot in this episode has a similar premise to the Loud House episode "Party Down", as both involve Lori organizing an event for her friend(s), who end(s) up becoming distracted by the things her siblings are doing and wanting to participate in their activities more than what Lori has organized.
    • It is also a reversal of the plot of the Loud House episodes "Overnight Success" and "Pasture Bedtime", as it involves Bobby ditching Lori's reenactment of their first date in favor of joining Lincoln and Clyde's sleepover, which contrasts with how Clyde decided he would rather spend time with Lincoln's sisters than do the items on his itinerary and how Lincoln, Clyde, Zach and Rusty ditched Liam's sleepover to attend Girl Jordan's pool party in those two episodes, respectively.
  • This marks the second time Lincoln, Clyde, Zach, and Rusty compete against each other to test the strength of their friendships, after the Loud House episode "How the Best Was Won".
    • However, unlike in that episode, Lincoln is paired up with Rusty instead of Clyde in this episode, and likewise, Clyde is paired up with Zach.
    • Coincidentally, the competition ends badly in both episodes, with the two parties realizing that they should not be competing because their friendship is unbreakable.
  • Lincoln and Clyde's car is labeled "Reiningers", indicating that it may have been used for display in the department store and loaned to Leni sometime prior to this episode.
  • This is currently the lowest-viewed episode of The Really Loud House, and by extension, the first episode in the franchise to obtain fewer than 100,000 viewers.
  • This marks Lola's first appearance without Lana in The Really Loud House.
  • Innuendo:
    • Liam declines Rusty's offer to smell Zach's fart that he contained in a bag. Zach then opens the bag in Rusty's face, and Rusty disgustedly asks, "What did you eat?"
    • Liam tells Luna that the chicken he prepared for her is freshly slaughtered, which disgusts her.
  • Irony:
    • Luan (as Johnny Sleepover) joins the marshmallow toast to manipulate Bobby into abandoning Lincoln and Clyde's sleepover. The character of Johnny Sleepover shares his first name with one of Lincoln's classmates.
    • Lincoln opened new best friend auditions to retaliate against Clyde for replacing him with Zach.
    • The first activity Lori arranged for Bobby's first sleepover was drinking gross-out guzzlers, the same activity that she dragged him away from participating in when she tried to make him join her in the reenactment of their first date.
    • Zach feared getting his face drawn on while he was asleep. This is exactly what happened when everyone went to sleep.

References[]

  • All Is Fair in Love and Sleepovers - The title of this episode is a pun of the proverb, "all is fair in love and war", which is when you don't abide to the rules in situations regarding love or war.
  • Webster's Dictionary - Liam attempts to recite the definition of "love" provided by these dictionaries printed by Merriam-Webster, Inc.
  • Rusty's resume mentions that he has been acting in several musical productions:
    • Cats - Rusty's resume states that he played the Rum Tum Tugger in a production of this Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.
    • Your Arms Too Short to Box with God - Rusty's resume mentions he was in a production of this musical.
    • The Music Man - Rusty's resume states that he played Winthrop Paroo in a production of this Meredith Wilson musical.

Product placement[]

  • Ziploc - Rusty tries to make Liam smell one of Zach's farts, which he contained in a quart-sized bag from this brand.

Errors[]

  • When Bobby says, "I'm so good at this!", the amount of gross-out guzzler in his glass is more than there was when he said, "Is this salmon?".
  • Luan's alias as Peter Bilt has "his" surname spelled as "Bilt" in the subtitles, but "Built" on "his" resume.
