This page describes all of Bud Grouse's relationships with other characters. Loud family[]![]() The Louds give Mr. Grouse a Christmas present. Mr. Grouse has a mixed relationship with his next-door neighbors, the Loud family. He addresses all of them primarily as "Loud", but he does know at least a few of them by their first names. They often cause him grief or discomfort, but he is willing to help them out when bribed with Lynn-sagna or when the time is right. He has even said that they are like family to him. Lincoln Loud[]![]() Mr. Grouse making amends with Lincoln. Out of all the Louds, Mr. Grouse shares the closest relationship with Lincoln. In earlier episodes, he is occasionally seen coming out of his window talking to Lincoln and making somewhat snide remarks about Lincoln’s recent activities. In "Chore and Peace", when Mr. Grouse saw Lincoln taking out trash, he informs Lincoln that the garbagemen do not come due to forming a strike for not being paid well enough. In "A Novel Idea", he sarcastically compliments Lincoln for his beautiful dress. When he later saw Lincoln and Rita riding a horse at the end of the episode, he compliments them again. In "The Price of Admission", whenever Grouse spends the rest of his night by gardening and going on a night fishing, Lincoln gets scared and runs away, believing him to be The Harvester. When Grouse sees this, he questioned if Lincoln never heard of any of these activities. "11 Louds a Leapin'" focuses Mr. Grouse’s relationship with Lincoln. When Lincoln accidentally lost his sleigh to Grouse’s yard, Grouse put his sleigh in his house. When Lincoln was caught by Grouse for breaking in his house and taking his sleigh, Lincoln accidentally broke his sleigh. When Grouse calls him "thief", Lincoln angrily calls him out on his hypocrisy, saying that Grouse is the thief himself for not returning stuff. When Grouse forces him to clean up his house for leaving footprints, Lincoln sees a picture of Grouse and his huge family. He eventually realizes that Grouse lives far away from his family. Feeling bad for his grouchy neighbor, Lincoln tells his family and they give Grouse present. Grouse eventually made amends with Lincoln, becoming on better terms with him. Lori Loud[]Mr. Grouse’s relationship with Lori is quite positive. In "Garage Banned", after moving in garage, Lori attempts to start a friendly conversation with Grouse, but he ignores her. As of "Homeward Bound", Lori, because of her gap year, became Grouse's new roommate, so she could be closer to her family but retain some independence. After this, Grouse became closer with Lori more than ever. Lynn Loud[]Mr. Grouse generally has a mixed relationship, but is on better terms with her, when he realized that he shares her interest in sports. Lily Loud[]![]() Mr. Grouse has to take care of Lily. In "Breaking Dad", Mr. Grouse refuses to take care of Lily, while Lynn Sr. went to Cowbella, but when Lynn Sr. offered his Lynn-sagna, he agreed. Mr. Grouse found it difficult to deal with Lily, but she eventually mellowed out and Mr. Grouse wore Lynn Sr.’s favorite sweater, which caused Lily to call Grouse "da-da". Lynn Loud Sr.[]![]() Mr. Grouse is not excited to see Lynn Sr.. Mr. Grouse has a mixed relationship with Lynn Sr.. Grouse appears to be aloof and rude to Lynn Sr., but he does get along with him and he even likes his Lynn-sagna. In "Breaking Dad", Lynn Sr. offers to cook him Lynn-sagna if he watches over Lily, while he goes to the cowbella and Grouse agrees. Lynn Sr. grows upset and jealous when Lily starts calling Grouse "da-da". While not hating Grouse and trying as hard as he can to be friendly with his grouchy neighbor, Lynn Sr. does call him an old coot with bad lasagna addiction. Rita Loud[]Mr. Grouse has a mixed relationship with Rita. In "A Crime to Dye For", Rita yells at Grouse for watering her window, causing him to flinch and fall. Flip[]Mr. Grouse generally shares a mixed relationship with Flip. In "A Flipmas Carol", Flip scams him, after Grouse bought the lights from him, during one Christmas evening. When Flip saw through the Ghosts of Christmas Present (Lincoln and Clyde) of what misfortune Grouse had gone and all of the other people he scammed altogether, he felt guilty and made up. He even helped Grouse with his lights, which caused Grouse to happily give him a thumbs-up. In "Double Trouble", Mr. grouse and flip teamed up to win a contest, during the first round Grouse and Flip were eliminated, when they ended up crashing out after eating their ice cream. His family[]
