Synopsis[]

S7E02A The Moon Goats start playing Play It Loud

The Moon Goats begin performing for toddlers.

In Luna and Luan's room, the Moon Goats are counting their money. After subtracting money from the things that need attention, the money they end up keeping only amounts to $93. This upsets the Moon Goats, as they want to save enough money for a brand-new speaker system. After dreaming about playing with the new speakers, Luan enters and, using Mr. Coconuts, opens up a safe filled with cash. When Luan states that all the money comes from her gigs at parties, the Moon Goats realize that they can get their money quickly by performing at kids' parties. Later, during their first gig a kid's party, the Moon Goats try to perform their usual music, but it's too loud and aggressive for the little kids.

Back at the Loud House, Luna tells her bandmates that if they want to be successful at kids' parties, they need to make songs that appeal to their level. After seven minutes of thinking, the band is unsuccessful at coming up with anything. Just as Sam questions what toddlers rock out to, she and the others suddenly hear Lily singing to herself while riding on her tricycle. Getting an idea, the Moon Goats decide to use Lily's trike song at the next party they perform at, where they successfully manage to entertain the toddlers. Before long, the band uses whatever song Lily sings for their performances, whether it's about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or chasing after Geo in the living room. After one performance at Tall Timbers Park, they are approached by Katherine Mulligan, who wants them to perform live on her TV show, Kat Chat, for her niece, Adeline. Realizing that they could make a large sum of money with this opportunity, the band accepts the offer, and Katherine states that she'll see them tomorrow morning. Before she leaves, she tells them that she wants a brand-new, original song, nothing they've already sung before.

Later, Luna arrives home and tries to look for Lily. However, she is unable to find her little sister. Asking Luan, she and Mr. Coconuts reveal that their parents took Lily with them to Aunt Ruth's cabin for Ruth's yearly callus scraping, and that they won't be back until the end of the weekend. With their main songwriter temporarily gone, the Moon Goats try to figure out how to come up with a new song. Sully suggests that, since Lily isn't the only toddler in Royal Woods, they could get inspiration from another toddler. First, they spy on a little girl at the grocery store, but only succeed in making her cry. Second, they ask a group a toddlers at the mall's toy store, but they chase the band away after replacing their toys with instruments. Lastly, they ask the toddlers riding on the kiddie train, but end up losing them when they enter the tunnel. With no way to come up with a song in time, Luna suggests calling up Katherine to cancel the performance. Suddenly, Sully begins to play with a kazoo, stating that he bought it from the toy store because of how he grew up with them. This causes Luna to realize they can come up with a song by using past experience and proceed to spend their day playing like little kids to brainstorm ideas, like swinging on the swings, riding on the merry-go-round, and bouncing in a bounce house (where one of the toddlers gives Sully a bonnet).

S7E02A The song ends with confetti cannons firing

Using their newly-earned speakers, the Moon Goats perform their newest song for toddlers.

The next day, on Kat Chat, the Moon Goats perform their new song for Adeline based on their adventure from yesterday, where it is watched by toddlers all over Royal Woods (including Lily, who is watching the performance while Rita and Lynn Sr. scrape off Ruth's calluses). The performance ends up being a smashing success, that the Moon Goats are finally given the funds they needed for the new speaker system they long desired. Sometime later, while at Tall Timbers Park, the Moon Goats, now sporting bonnets, perform a new song with their new speakers to a crowd of toddlers, including Lily.
