Chipiri is a supporting character in The Casagrandes Movie. He is the father of Punguari. Biography[]Chipiri is known as God of the Sun, and most of his powers have to do with fire. The Casagrandes Movie[]He arrives atop the temple in a burst of flame, greeting his family with warmth and excitement for the New Fire Festival. He brings a jovial energy and tries to keep the mood light despite the tension between Punguari and Sisiki, all while agreeing with his wife that Punguari is not yet ready for full godhood. They hug after Punguari seemingly accepts that she won't attain godhood, and then he implores her to join him in a game of Fire Ball. However, it turns out that Punguari stole his staff to access the Mask of Many Faces—a forbidden artifact that grants full godhood. This results in mass manic, as her actions inadvertently caused the earth below her to start cracking. While Sisiki tries to get through to Punguari, Chipiri buys time by hold the crust together with massive, fire-imbued arms. Just then, as Sisiki tries to restraint Punguari, the demonn Ucumu rises from the earth, so Chipiri tries attacking him with fireballs. He suddenly notices lava threatening the nearby village. Sisiki quickly raises the village on stone pillars and douses the lava with a massive wave of water. Chipiri engages Ucumu but is overpowered. Sisiki joins him, and together they use the chancla from her staff to combine their powers—vine and fire magic—and launch a final attack against Ucumu to to banish Ucumu back to the underworld, but also resulting in them both becoming imprisoned in gems housed in Ucumu's headpiece. During the battle, Ucumu’s jewels glow, revealing Sisiki and Chipiri are trapped inside. After Ucumu is hit with the Chancla statue, the jewels fly off and Punguari catches them, leaving on the sidelines. After Ucumu is sealed away, Sisiki and Chipiri are released and congratulate Punguari. Chipiri lifts his staff in the air. Yellow energy blasts out of it and restores the town to normal. Punguari, Chipiri and Sisiki, in the forms of an owl, an eagle, and quetzal respectively, and fly past Ronnie Anne and Maria. Appearance[]Chipiri is a tall, muscular man with tan skin, a large nose, a yellow stone on his chin, and chin hair. He has thick eyebrows, and his hair is tied in a braided ponytail which reaches below his chest. He has several flames tattooed onto his forearms and ankles which glow yellow, and his hands and feet glow red at the same time. For attire, Chipiri wears a stone crown with orange and yellow leaves, plus a carnelian embedded into it. He wears a stone collar with shoulder pads that resemble grass, a white loincloth tied around his waist with a blue rope, stone wristbands, and sandals tied around his ankles. Personality[]Chipiri is excitable about the Joyous New Fire. However, he also shows the characteristics of a stern yet protective father, as he refuses to let Punguari become a full god at the beginning of the movie, and he sacrifices himself for her own protection. He is, however, very forgiving, as shown how he forgives his daughter for her treachery at the end of the movie. Trivia[]
