Trivia[]

  • This episode premiered on the day that Jolie Jenkins confirmed that the series was ending.[1]
  • This episode reveals the following:
    • Hudson's last name is Frickley.
    • Hudson once got a wax shard from a crayon in his eye; as a result, his mother, Karen, went ballistic and petitioned to get crayons banned from the entire Royal Woods school district and succeeded with a near-unanimous vote; one of the board members, Mrs. Watkins, was the outlier who voted against the ban, and no longer works for the district.
      • Because of this, many parents of students in the school district have come to dislike Karen.
    • Royal Woods Middle School has recess, and Hudson once got motion sickness from using the swings on the playground.
    • Royal Woods is full of unevenly paved sidewalks.
    • Hudson is allergic to peanuts.
    • Hudson is forbidden to eat at restaurants before Karen pre-approves the menu.
    • Hudson is not allowed to drink sugary soda.
    • Hudson normally eats grapes after they have been cut in half by his mother.
    • Todd is the only member of the Loud family household who has a medical degree.
    • Hudson is forbidden to eat butter and bread that contains gluten.
  • This is the second time one of Lincoln's friends has a one-sided romance with Luna, with the first being Liam in "All Is Fair in Love and Sleepovers". Coincidentally, Luna admits that she is dating Sam when the person flirting with her asks her out to dinner in both episodes.
  • The score that plays when Hudson jumps Lincoln and Clyde's ramp is the same on used for Sprinks making his big jump in "The Macho Man with the Plan".
  • Todd ridiculing Hudson's injuries due to the comedy installed onto his hard drive is similar to how his AI overrode conversational tones while he was disguised as Lincoln in "The Macho Man with the Plan" and how Luan put a joke about hospital food next to a mention of Ruth breaking her hip in "McLouds vs Machine".
  • This is the last episode to be written by David McHugh and Matt Flanagan.
  • Innuendo:
    • When speaking about how Mrs. Watkins voted against getting crayons banned from the Royal Woods school district, Karen mentions that she is "no longer with us", implying that she killed her. Rita even discusses this later on.
      • Later in the episode, Hudson mentions that all of his babysitters are likewise "no longer with us", implying that Karen had killed them, too.
      • Lincoln and Clyde also seem to be aware of Karen's potentially murderous reputation, as they fear that she will kill them if they call her to inform her about Hudson's accident.
    • When Lucy prepares to fix Hudson's injury, she decides to give him an amputation with Lynn Sr.'s drill. At first, Hudson assumes that she is referring to his arm because that's his injured part, but she instead decides to amputate his unbroken leg, and Todd makes a pun that Hudson will soon be "back on [his] foot".
    • After Luan installs depressing scientific facts onto Todd's hard drive, he calls the world's response to climate change a joke.
  • Irony:
    • When congratulating Lincoln and Clyde on how well they built their ramp, Hudson takes a cherry cola from their cooler, despite later revealing that he is not allowed to drink them.
    • While Lucy was informed of incoming danger by her crystal ball, she set her tarp to catch Hudson a few feet too far away from where he actually landed.
    • Luan placing her comedy props in the dining room painted the Loud parents in an even worse light in front of Karen than they already were in for Lincoln and Clyde letting Hudson jump off their ramp.
      • They also mentioned that child safety was their top concern just before Lynn bashed through the window with her arm in a sling, sending glass shards and wood chips falling everywhere.

Errors[]

  • The window of Luna and Luan's room normally faces the backyard. However, when Luna checks out the window, she seemingly sees Lincoln and Clyde's ramp in the front yard. The camera angle also seems to suggest she is looking out of Lori and Leni's room, which normally does face the front yard.

References[]

  • Rocky II - Lynn Sr. claims that he was intending to re-finish watching this 1979 sports drama film.
  • E.B. White - Luan cites this late American author when talking to Lisa about deconstructing her joke.
  • George Thorogood - The score that plays when Hudson eyes Lincoln and Clyde's ramp (also used in "Ro-Bro", "Loud Blues" and "A Tale of Three Parties") resembles this musician's 1982 song "Bad to the Bone".
  • Mars over - Todd's statement that Mars is populated entirely by robots is a reference to these vehicles managed by NASA.
