Episode Information

"Face the Music with the Casagrandes" (originally titled "Hector Music") is the sixth episode of the fourth season, the one-hundred-fifty-fifth episode of The Loud House, and the sixth episode of the Casagrande story arc.

Plot

When Ronnie Anne discovers that each family member will perform at Hector's birthday, she turns to Sid for help.

Synopsis

Ronnie Anne is woken up by the sound of a guitar. She walks into the living room and discovers that it's Hector performing a song. He says that his birthday is today and, as tradition, he expects everyone to perform for him. When Ronnie Anne is confused by what he means, the other family members reveal what they're going to perform:

  • Carlota is going to do a fashion show with Lalo and Carlitos.
  • CJ and Carl are going to wrestle each other.
  • Bobby and Sergio are singing a duet.
  • Frida made herself a living painting.
  • Rosa is going to do a traditional Mexican dance, as well as make Hector's favorite dish, spicy shrimp.
  • Carlos is going to recite a poem about Hector.
  • Maria is going to perform on the harp.

On the balcony, Ronnie Anne is telling Sid about what she can do for Hector's party. She reveals that she has intense stage fright after falling over during a first-grade play. Sid says that she can help Ronnie conquer her fear. First, they go to the subway, since, according to Sid, "you'll never see any of these people again." They board the train and Sid plays some loud music, making people stare at her. However, Sid's father happens to be the one running the train, prompting Sid to loudly reveal her plan. Sometime later, the two exit the subway and Sid suggests that make her the center of attention on an empty street. Sid starts playing music loudly and people start to arrive and mistake Ronnie Anne as a street performer, prompting them to toss some money.

Arriving back to the apartment, Ronnie Anne realizes that instead of performing, she could instead give Hector a gift. Going into his office, Ronnie Anne finds a conga drum and considers it to be the perfect gift. However, when she hauls the drum to her room, she overhears Hector saying that he really doesn't care about gifts, since they can't reach the amount of love that a performance gives. When Ronnie Anne starts to contemplate on what to do now, she hears Bobby and Sergio perform their song. This gives Ronnie Anne the idea to suggest they could use a third member, and Bobby and Sergio accept.

The time for the party comes and Bobby, Sergio and Ronnie Anne are about to perform next. Suddenly, Hector invites more people to the party and Sergio ends up losing his voice after eating the spicy shrimp Rosa made for Hector. All of this, combined with her not knowing the lyrics to the song, prompts Ronnie Anne to run out of the living room. As she sulks in her room, Hector arrives and asks what's wrong. Ronnie Anne explains that she has stage fright and claims that she ruined his party. Hector, however, sympathizes with Ronnie Anne, explaining that he too had stage fright after falling over during a first-grade play. He explains that as time went on, he managed to conquer his stage fright. After coming back to the party, Hector suggests that he should do the duet with Bobby, and they perform a song that all the guests, including Ronnie Anne, join in to sing along.
