Family Tree (originally titled The Struggle is Real and later Treehouse of Dreams) is the fourth installment of graphic novels featuring The Loud House comics, published by Papercutz on August 21, 2018.

When Lincoln can't find a place to play video games, he decides to make a treehouse all for himself (with a little help from Lana).

Lucy's ABCs of The Loud House

When the siblings are unable to calm Lily down, Lucy recites her own version of the ABCs to help her relax.


Mr. Grouse's first name revealed.

  • The "Meet the Loud Family and Friends!" section expanded and was revised to include profiles for Bitey, Fangs, Albert, Aunt Ruth, Zach, Rusty, Liam, Flip, Mr. Grouse, Mrs. Johnson, and the Turkey Jerkies (Maya, Paula, Amy, and Diane).
    • It's revealed that Mr. Grouse's first name is Bud, and Zach's last name is Gurdle.
    • Rusty, Mrs. Johnson, Albert, Aunt Ruth, Zach, Liam, Frida, Carlos, Maria, Maya, Paula, Amy, and Diane make their debuts in the graphic novel series.
  • This is the first Loud House graphic novel to not have Miguel Puga have some sort of involvement.
  • Elements of the story "Tough Hooky" would be utilized in the episode "Lucha Fever with the Casagrandes", namely Ronnie Anne faking being sick.
  • This book was originally announced and solicited as The Struggle is Real. In the letter from the editor in After Dark, editor Jim Salicrup confirmed that the new title, cover art, and story "Treehouse of Solitude" were last-minute additions meant as a tie-in to the concurrent release of the Ultimate Treehouse app. The original title was later used for Volume #7.
    • During the shift, the book was originally entitled Treehouse of Dreams.
  • "Code Crisis" reveals that Lincoln and Clyde have made up 2,000 codes.
  • "Disjoint Custody" reveals several things about Pop-Pop:
    • Leni taught him how to express himself with his socks.
    • Luna writes a birthday song for him every year.
    • Lynn follows the same sports teams as him.
    • Lincoln writes an essay about him, titled 'My Hero', every year.
  • "Worked Up" reveals that Bobby used to dislike having so many jobs in Royal Woods.
  • According to Lisa's analysis in "Disjoint Custody", she is the least likely of the Loud siblings to break a breakable object.


  • In the official description, Lisa is listed as the sibling to recite poems with instead of Lucy.
  • In "Swishful Thinking", Diane's name is misspelled as "Dianne".
