This is a complete list of recurring gags from the Shorts, Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the series, and assorted other media. Frequent running gags Loud family Entire family: Waiting in line for the bathroom, causing chaos which gets one or all of them in trouble, and having over-the-top arguments. The Loud sisters: Being nosy about Lincoln's love life and overreacting to Lincoln's minor injuries. Lincoln: Breaking the fourth wall to explain what's happening in the episode, coming up with long operation names (sometimes even ending with "and maybe think of a shorter name for this operation"), reading comics in his undies, making up funny nicknames for him and Clyde over the walkie-talkies, and making card puns while playing Ace Savvy. Lori: Contacting Bobby via her phone, denying being flatulent, being territorial, and saying "literally." Leni: Having ditzy moments and making crazy outfits. Luna: Speaking in a British accent, being asked to play music for a scene, and quoting song titles and lyrics. Luan: Telling puns and jokes for every situation (which most people find very bad), pulling pranks, and pulling excessive pranks on April Fools Day. Lynn: Engaging in athletic activities, turning everyday things into a sport, roughhousing with her siblings, and having wacky superstitions. Lucy: Appearing suddenly, scaring people, crushing on Edwin, and saying verbs instead of doing the actions. Lana: Having gross habits and eating gross things, arguing with Lola, and being an animal lover. Lola: Being bratty, performing mean acts towards her siblings, loving glitter, giving people nicknames ending in "-ington," and having tea parties. Lisa: Experimenting and inventing things, talking in technical terms, creepily smiling, and experiments exploding in her face. Lily: Saying "poo-poo," soiling herself, and running around naked. Lynn Sr. and Rita: Not showing their faces. In Lynn Sr.'s case, prefixing words with "ding-dang" when frustrated, getting scared or teary-eyed easily, and singing while doing chores. Ruth: Serving gross food, having an extra toe, her family avoiding visiting her, and having so many cats. The Loud pets: Having people clean up their droppings, making secret schemes, and trying to eat the Louds' food. Walt: Being mean or grumpy. Hops: Assisting Lana. Fangs: Being sicced on people. McBride family Clyde: His former crush on Lori, such as talking about her beauty, wanting to date her, acting like a robot, and/or getting nosebleeds when around her, breathing into a paper bag when scared, passing out, and quoting Dr. Lopez. Howard and Harold: Getting scared easily, getting emotional, contacting Dr. Lopez, and being overprotective. Cleopawtra: Being aggressive. Santiago family Ronnie Anne: Insulting Lincoln playfully and insisting she is not Lincoln's girlfriend. Bobby: Doing stupid things, having several jobs, and acting romantic with Lori. Casagrande family Carlos: Reciting random facts. Frida: Getting emotional. Rosa: Cooking excessive food, being superstitious, throwing her shoes when mad, and bossing other members of her family around. Hector: Sleeping all of the time and gossiping. Carlitos: Mimicking people. Sergio: Insulting people, socializing with pigeons, and trying to win Priscilla back. Carl: Trying to be a ladies' man, making scams, and loving trains. Carlos and Maria: Getting into childish fights toward one another. Carlota: Dressing herself fashionably and giving others makeovers. Lalo: Licking people's faces. CJ: Pretending to be a pirate or a superhero. Others Any character: Saying "Dang it." Street Cats: Attacking people. Rusty: Trying to be a ladies' man. Flip: Being a cheapskate and being gross in both behavior and physiology. Mr. Grouse: Yelling at the Louds, addressing the Louds by last name. Paula: Being told she can stand due to her bad leg. Liam: Sharing obscure farm-related knowledge, making farm-related similes, and owning manure. Zach: Being a conspiracy theorist (this applies to his parents as well). Benny: Telling jokes. Laird: Being clumsy or unlucky. Morag: Her hair becoming more and more frizzled as she becomes more annoyed or stressed by the Louds' actions.
