The moment Ronnie Anne and Sid head back home with their stash of Twelve is Midnight memorabilia, Ronnie Anne suddenly gets a call. She answers her phone, and it turns out to be Maybelle, who is revealed to be the owner of the coin purse. When Ronnie Anne confirms this, Maybelle proclaims that she'll be at the mercado in two hours to pick it up. Realizing that they spent all of the money, Ronnie Anne and Sid desperately attempt to make $100 in order to make up for all of their careless spending, ranging from dancing to music on the subway to selling waffles, only to succeed in making a few dollars. However, the two hour deadline comes up, and Maybelle arrives, asking for her purse. Realizing that they can't lie to her, the girls admit their selfishness and state that they spent her money. Maybelle, admittedly upset at the girls for spending her money, tells them that she has an idea on how they can make it up to her. Maybelle has the girls be her personal servant for the rest of the day by making them do chores for her, like cleaning her house and doing her grocery shopping. After hours of having do exhausting chores, Maybelle tells the girls that they're finally paid off. After this experience, Ronnie Anne and Sid decide to no longer use things that's not theirs.

Meanwhile, when Carl states that no one comes back for their lost possessions, Bobby decides to make a dare with Carl: if Bobby can get rid of all the items in the lost and found box by the end of the day, he will have Carl's flan dessert for the week, but if Bobby loses, Carl will win Bobby's flan dessert. As the day progresses, people are taking back their lost items, making Bobby's win inevitable. When the day ends, Bobby discovers, to his disappointment, that he failed to get rid of one last item: a green sweatshirt. When Carl states that he wins the bet, he tells Bobby to look at the back of the sweatshirt, revealing Bobby's name. This makes Bobby question why no one named Bobby came to the store to pick the sweatshirt up, obviously not catching the hint that it's his.

Episode Information

"Finders Weepers" is the tenth episode of the first season of The Casagrandes.

Plot

Ronnie Anne and Sid have to decide whether they should borrow money from a lost coin purse they found in the mercado.

Synopsis

While tossing a frisbee in the mercado, Ronnie Anne and Sid discover a coin purse on the floor, and find a $100 bill inside. Bobby suggests that they put the purse into the store's lost and found box, but Ronnie Anne suggests that she and Sid will find the owner instead (and to make sure Carl doesn't steal it).

Ronnie Anne and Sid proceed to ask all the tenants of the apartment if they lost a coin purse, but none of them state that it's theirs. After posting flyers for the lost purse around the city, Ronnie Anne and Sid decide to get some pizza. However, none of the girls have money, so they decide to use the $100 bill to buy their lunch. After they eat (and spending $10), the girls realize that the new Cowboys vs. Clowns game came out, and proceed to spend another $20 playing the game. After they play the game, the girls proclaim to not spend any more money, but immediately spend another $10 to see a movie about penguins followed by a Q&A with the penguins (which cost another $10). When Ronnie Anne and Sid attempt to do a pinkie promise to not spend any more money, they quickly go to a Twelve is Midnight pop-up store and spend the remaining $50 in the purse.

This makes Bobby question why no one named Bobby came to the store to pick the sweatshirt up, obviously not catching the hint that it's his, much to Carl's dismay.
