However, Clyde has a worst-case scenario where the Snap will be destroyed if it's brought to the chaotic Loud House. Clyde attempts to deny Lincoln's request, but due to his kind nature, he instead lets Lincoln borrow the Snap. At night, Clyde can't get some sleep due to dreaming about his worst-case scenario, and when morning arrives, he theorizes that if he were to hang out with Lincoln, he could keep an eye on his Snap.

Episode Information

"Game Boys" is the thirty-fourth episode of the third season, and the one-hundred-thirty-fifth episode of The Loud House.

Plot

Lincoln asks to borrow Clyde's new gaming system, but Clyde struggles to trust it's safe with him.

Synopsis

Lincoln is at Clyde's house, checking out his brand new gaming system: the Super-Snap 95. When Clyde says how much he likes his new console, he also states how he can only play with it until midnight, since tomorrow is Sunday, and he and his dads like to spend the day without looking at a screen (which they nicknamed "Screen-Free Sunday"). Lincoln sees this as an opportunity to borrow the console, and asks Clyde if he can borrow it.

S3E18B More horror fills Clyde

Thinking his Snap will be destroyed, Clyde must protect it at all costs.

Arriving to the Loud House, Clyde gives Lincoln his Snap, and attempts to linger around him to keep an eye on it. Eventually, Lincoln becomes suspicious, and thinks that Clyde is attempting to break free of Screen-Free Sunday. When Clyde lies by saying that's the reason, Lincoln promptly kicks him out of the house. Realizing what he has done, Clyde decides to go incognito mode to keep an eye on his Snap.

Throughout the day, Clyde attempts to protect the Snap from any possible hazards, like Lynn's sports, a paint-covered Lily, Leni's kale juice, Lisa's corrosive liquids, and Lynn Sr.'s cooking. While hiding underneath the dinner table, Lynn Sr. tells his family that dinner is ready. This causes the family to surround the table, blocking any possible exits. Just when Clyde claims that he's gotten comfortable sitting under the table, Lynn suddenly lets out a fart, causing Clyde to back up in disgust, and bump into Lana, who thinks that it's Charles, and gives him a piece of her sausage. Suddenly, Charles, who is angry at Clyde for taking his sausage, begins attacking him, exposing his hiding location. When Lincoln asks him what's happening, Clyde decides to tell him the whole story.

S3E18B Clyde calls his dads

Clyde is still protective of his stuff.

In the living room, Clyde explains to Lincoln that he originally didn't want him to borrow his Snap, out of fear that it would get destroyed, considering the chaos that happens in the Loud House. When Lincoln asks why he didn't just tell him in the first place, Clyde said that he thought if said no, it would be the end of their friendship. Lincoln says that their friendship still stands, and Clyde learns that he'll try to be more honest in the future. Lincoln gives Clyde his Snap back, and just before he leaves, Lynn Sr. attempts to give Clyde some of his dinner to take home, when suddenly, he trips over, and flings the food towards Clyde. Lincoln acting quickly, jumps in the way, just before the food can hit Clyde. Despite the Snap getting a minor stain, Clyde says that it's not a big deal, but upon exiting the house, Clyde quickly calls up his dads, and orders them to get a lint-free cloth and white vinegar, showing how protective he is of his stuff.
