Act I[]

[Open on two crows resting on a scarecrow. Lincoln and Lori pass by in Eliza, driving to Great Lakes City.]
Lincoln: "Thanks for picking me up, Lori. I'm so excited to trick-or-treat in Great Lakes City. I've never gotten city candy before."
Lori: "Who cares about candy? Next to Valentine's Day, Halloween is the most romantic holiday of the year."
Lincoln: "Ugh. Please tell me you and Bobby won't make this holiday lovey-dovey like you do all the others."
Lori: "Trust me, even you will literally be impressed when you see our matching costumes. They're the same ones Mom and Dad wore on their first Halloween date."
[Cut to a photo album with a photo of Rita and Lynn Sr. in matching scarecrow outfits. Back to Lincoln and Lori.]
Lincoln: "Well, I just wanna trick-or-treat with Ronnie Anne."
[They drive into Great Lakes City.]

[Eliza is parked at the Casagrande apartment. Lincoln approaches Apartment 2A, knocks on the door, and pulls over his polo to resemble a hoodie before laughing evilly... only for Ronnie Anne to come out of Apartment 2B, spooking him.]
Ronnie Anne: "I'm sorry, Lincoln, I can't go trick-or-treating tonight."
Lincoln: "What?"
Ronnie Anne: "It's complicated."
[Suddenly CJ bursts out of 2B with several streamers wrapped around himself.]
CJ: "CJ needs more streamers!"
[CJ leaves 2B while Hector comes out of 2A with a skeleton prop.]
Hector: "This is gonna be a great addition to the mercado. Hola, Lincoln."
[He accidentally crashes and destroys the skeleton. Carlos pops out of 2B.]
Carlos: "Did I hear the smashing of the basic substructure of the human body?" [notices the broken skeleton, gasps, and picks it up] "Looks like the perfect time for a family lesson in osteology."
[Enter Carlota with several fabrics]
Carlota: [acting] "Oh, darn. I can't. I have to finish everyone's Halloween costumes."
Hector: "Well, at least you don't have to make them for Frida and Carlitos since they're visiting Grandpa Danny."
Carlos: "Ooh! Maybe they'd like to hear my lesson." [takes out his phone and calls Frida] "Hello, Frida? Did you know that the human body is-" [Frida groans] "Uh, why are you groaning?"
[He heads back in as Carl exits 2B with a pumpkin carved with his likeness]
Hector: "Mijo, what are you doing? That jack-o-lantern isn't scary."
Carl: "Really? I think it's terrifying how handsome he is."
[Rosa pops out of 2A]
Rosa: "Lincoln, I thought I heard your voice. I need someone new to taste my horchata." [spoon-feeds him]
Lincoln: "Oh my gosh, that's delicious!"
Rosa: "You're just saying that. I'll add more cinnamon." [leaves]
Lincoln: "OK, you've gotta tell me what's going on."
[Ronnie Anne and Lincoln exit the apartment.]
Ronnie Anne: "This year, all of the shops on our block are competing to see who can create the scariest store. They've somehow convinced Ernesto Estrella to judge it." [shows him a poster with Ernesto]
Lincoln: "Oh, he's that famous astrologist your abuela loves, right?"
Ronnie Anne: "Yup. That's why she's a little crazed about her horchata. She really wants to impress Ernesto with it."
[Lori and Bobby are hugging at the entrance to the mercado.]
Lincoln: "Have you two been down here hugging this whole time?"
Ronnie Anne: "Bobby, what did I say about being lovey-dovey on Halloween?"
Bobby: "Sorry, Ronnie Anne, but this is a super-romantic holiday, and Lori and I wanna do it right. Well, after we finish decorating the mercado. Babe, we're in this awesome competition."
Ronnie Anne: "I was just filling Lincoln in. The scariest store gets to make a commercial with Ernesto Estrella."
Bobby: "It would be huge for us! And we are so gonna win."
[He opens the mercado door and gets attacked by a flock of pigeons. They gasp to find the mercado in ruins.]
Hector: "What happened to all our decorations?"
[Sergio climbs up on the counter wearing a party hat.]
Sergio: [squawks] "Ain't no Halloween party like a Sergio Halloween party."
Bobby: "Sergio, those were all the spooky decorations we had! We'll never win now."
Hector: "Ay, I really wanted that commercial."
Lincoln: "Hm. Maybe Lucy can help. No one makes Halloween scarier than her."
Bobby: "Babe, would you mind driving back to Royal Woods to get her?"
Lori: "Sure. Anything to help my Boo-Boo Bear win this contest."
Rosa: "Lori! Mija! Tell me what you think of my horchata." [spoon-feeds her]
Lori: "Mmm. OMG, this is literally the best!"
Rosa: "You're sweet to say so, but you're wrong. It clearly needs more vanilla." [leaves]

[Lori is now driving back to Great Lakes City with Lucy and Boris inside Eliza]
Lori: "Thanks for coming, Lucy."
Lucy: "I'm flattered the Casagrandes want my help."
Boris: "Thank you for letting Boris come along, too. I'm so excited for Halloween in the big city."
[They enter Great Lakes City]

[Lori parks Eliza at the Casagrande apartment. She, Lucy, and Boris exit Eliza.]
Hector: "Lucy! Muchas gracias for helping us!"
Lucy: "It's my pleasure, really. Scaring people brings me joy."
Bobby: [hugs Boris] "And this must be the legendary Gramps that Lori's been telling us about. Nice to meet you, sir."
Boris: "Boris is actually a child, but appreciates the sentiment."
[Bobby lets go of him as a stressed Carlota approaches Lori]
Lori: "Hey, Carlota. You look stressed. What's up?"
Carlota: "I'm just really behind on making everyone's costumes for tonight. I'm never gonna finish on time."
Lincoln: "Hmm. What if you had help? Leni is awesome with fashion."
Bobby: "That's a great idea! Babe, would you mind going back to Royal Woods to get her?" [Lori pouts] "We'll still have plenty of time for our romantic Halloween celebration."
Carlota: "Oh, it would really help me out, Lori."
Lori: [sighs] "Of course. Anything to help you guys win." [chuckles]
[Bobby and Carlota cheer and hug Lori.]

[Inside the mercado, Ronnie Anne and Lincoln set up a web with a spider on it. Lucy gives a thumbs up before directing Hector and Bobby to put skeletons in the freezer. She also directs Ronnie Anne, Bobby, and Lincoln to put pumpkins outside. Carl sneaks over to a coffin while carrying his pumpkin and discovers Boris is sleeping inside with his eyes open. Boris hisses, much to Carl's shock.]
Boris: "Oh, sorry. Boris sleeps with his eyes open. Some people find it unsettling."
[Hector finishes the decorations]
Hector: "Thanks for all your help, everyone. The mercado looks super scary."
[Just then Vito comes over, wearing a hat.]
Vito: "Wow, Hector! The mercado looks great, but I've been doing some recon for ya, and unfortunately, Margarita's really outdone herself at the hair salon." [Cut to Margarita's Beauty, where Margarita gives a woman a Bride of Frankenstein hairdo. The woman is horrified at her new hairdo. Back to the mercado.] "She's giving out new hair-boos." [takes off his hat to reveal he's got his own Bride of Frankenstein hairdo.] "Sorry, my friend." [leaves]
Hector: "Aww, I can't compete with that."
[Just then, the street cats chase Lalo outside of the mercado. Lalo enters the mercado and hops into Bobby's arms as Hector, Carl, Ronnie Anne, and Lincoln close the door to stop the street cats from getting in.]
Lincoln: "Hmm. I think I know how to make the mercado even scarier."
[Suddenly the cats leave as Lori comes back with Leni in tow. Carlota exits the apartment]
Carlota: "Hey!" [The cats rush past her. She quickly hugs Leni] "Thank you so much for coming!"
Leni: "You can brief me on the way up. What are we looking at?"
Carlota: "Silk, cotton, wool, and I was thinking... linen."
Leni: [gasps] "Linen in October? Now that's scary."
[The two fashionistas leave as Bobby peeks out of the mercado.]
Bobby: "Hi, Babe!"
[It turns out Lisa is also with Lori.]
Lincoln: "Lisa, what are you doing here?"
Lisa: "None of our siblings found my musings on All Hallows Eve to be interesting, so they offered my 50 bucks to, and I quote, 'Take my dull facts elsewhere.'"
Carlos: "Did someone say dull facts? You're speaking my language!" [grabs the skeleton] "Lisa, would you like to help me reassemble a skeleton while discussing the mythology behind this spooky holiday?"
Lisa: [gasps] "Eee!" [realizes she's being watched] "I apologize for that amateurish display of emotion. Be right up!"
Lori: "Ugh, Boo-Boo Bear, I am so ready to start our romantic Halloween celebration. Is the mercado all decorated?"
Lincoln: "Not yet. We just need to wrangle the pack of angry neighborhood cats, which means we need Lana."
[Lori slumps in dismay.]
Lori: "Ugh, seriously?!"
Hector: "It would mean a lot to me, mija." [gives Lori puppy eyes]
Lori: "Ugh. You know I can never say no to you, Mr. C."
Hector: [hugs Lori] "I was counting on that."

[Leni gives Bobby fake vampire teeth as part of his vampire costume. She combs his hair and sprays him, before he raises his cloak to act the part. Carlota fixes up the collar on Hector's cape for his vampire costume, before he jumps up and hisses with Bobby. Carl, also in a vampire costume, walks past the two before tripping on his cape.]
Carl: "Maybe you can take this up a little?"
Carlota: "I forgot what tiny legs you have."
[She nuzzles her brother, much to his discomfort. Just then Lana shows up]
Lana: "I hear you guys need a cat wrangler. Well, you called the right person."
Hector: "Thanks for coming, Lana, but please be careful. These neighborhood cats are wild and mean, so--" [notices she's gone] "Lana? Where did she go?"
[Lana has rounded up the cats to obey her, marching in formation.]
Lana: "This way, guys! Stay in formation!" [She's also rounded up a few tarantulas] "I also rounded up some tarantulas. I thought they might add a little extra scare."
Hector: "Lana, you're our salvadora! Oh, we've got first place in the bag!"
Vito: "Whoa!" [munches on Korean takeout] "This is incredible! Well done. But I got bad news, Hector. Mr. Hong has really gone to town with his market." [Cut to Mr. Hong's, which is decked in scary decorations. Mr. Hong approaches Ken Mu with a dish while wearing a witch's hat.] "It's scary as all get-out. He's even made bibim-boo!"
[Mr. Hong serves bibimbap, now with "BOO" written in sauce and with an eyeball on top. He laughs maniacally as Ken collapses in shock. Back to the mercado.]
Lincoln: "Hmm..." [gasps] "I have an idea!" [goes to Lucy, who's still decorating] "Lucy can summon a ghost, right, Luce?"
Lucy: "I don't think it's a good idea. I once summoned a ghost named Buzz, and things didn't go well. If I try again, I'm sure he'll be the first one through the portal."
Carl: "We'll take him!"
Hector: "Por favor, Lucy, it'd really help the mercado win first place and get that commercial."
Carlota: "You're summoning a ghost?" [chuckles] "Uh, no thanks. You guys have fun." [leaves with Leni]
Lucy: "Boris, what do you think?"
Boris: "Boris doesn't see any way this can go wrong. Let's do it."

[That night, the Louds and Casagrandes have set up a summoning circle in the mercado.]
Lucy: [reading from her spellbook] "'To win a contest Halloween night, send us a spirit to add to the fright. Open a portal, send over a ghost. Allow us to scare Ernesto the most.'"
[As she reads, a summoning portal opens up. Hector gasps as the portal opens, and Carl is shaking Bobby's arm as he shakes in anticipation. A ghost emerges from the portal, causing everyone to huddle in fright except for Lucy. The ghost materializes in the form of Buzz.]
Buzz: "Greetings and salutations! The name's Buzz."
Lucy: [facepalms] "Ugh. What a surprise."
Buzz: [approaches Carl] "Hello." [He shakes Carl's hand, shocking him with a joy buzzer.] "A delight to see you, Lucy Loud! To what do I owe this conjuring?"
Lucy: "Hello again, Buzz. So there's this Halloween contest, and we need you to scare-"
Buzz: "Let me stop you right there. Instead of what you need, let's focus on what I get!"
Hector: "You can have anything you want in the mercado."
Buzz: "Now you've got Buzz's attention." [leaves the mercado]

[Later, the kids are now in Apartment 2A. Lisa and Carlos add the finishing touches to the skeleton, Lana enjoys some candy, and Lori is sobbing on the couch as Bobby tries to comfort her.]
Lori: "I can't believe I forgot the straw wig for my scarecrow costume!"
Bobby: "It's OK, Babe. Leni and Carlota can make you a wig out of a mop head."
[The other kids nod in agreement.]
Lori: "Bobby, I need to wear the wig my mom wore on her first Halloween date with my dad." [seizes him by the collar] "IT'S TRADITION!" [sniffs] "I have to go back to Royal Woods. I promise I'll be back in time for our Halloween, Boo-Boo Bear." [leaves]
Bobby: "OK. I'll be waiting, my little candy corn."
[Ronnie Anne and Lincoln gag at the sappiness of it all.]
Leni: "OK, everyone trick-or-treating, line up for your zombie costumes."
[Leni and Carlota grab the zombie costume rags as the others line up. Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, and Lucy get their costumes, but the two fashionistas don't have anything for Boris]
Boris: "Where's Boris's costume?"
Carlota: "Oh, chico, you are perfect the way you are."
Boris: "You flatter Boris. If there were any blood in my veins, I would blush."
CJ: Don't forget Zombie CJ!" [starts acting like a zombie and moaning] "Brains! Uhh!"
[Leni, Carlota, and Boris all laugh.]

[Back at the mercado, Lana conducts the street cats in a feline choral rendition of Chopin's Funeral March]
Lana: "That sounds nice and scary, guys. Let's take five."
[The cats and Lana leave while Hector appears.]
Hector: "Okay, we're all ready for Ernesto Estrella. Wait, where's our secret weapon? Buzz? Hey, Buzz?"
[He doesn't realize there's a floating takeout box, and Buzz materializes.]
Buzz: "I'm actually working for Mr. Hong now. I never knew how good Korean barbecue is. Sorry, Hector, old pal." [uses his joy buzzer on Hector and leaves]
Bobby: "Now what do we do? We just gave our secret weapon to the competition! Can we even still win?"
Carl: [notices something] "Heck yeah, we can!" [grabs Lucy's spellbook] "Looks like Lucy left her spellbook behind. Now we can conjure another, even scarier ghost! C'mon, guys, we have the power to make this the scariest and most winningest Halloween ever!"
[He starts laughing evilly, and Bobby and Hector look at each other, shrug and join in. End of Act I.]

Act II[]

[As a wolf howls in the background, Carl, Hector, and Bobby sit together in the magic circle.]
Carl: "Time to get to work. If we wanna win the Halloween contest and get Ernesto to make our commercial, we need to summon the scariest ghost ever." [flips the pages] "Ooh! This one looks good. 'Creature from beyond, spirit from the dead, flesh and evil spawn, terror will be spread!'" [laughs evilly as lightning strikes. At first, nothing seems to happen until the mercado door opens and a figure appears. Bobby, Carl and Hector hold each other scream]
Rosa: [Steps inside] "I need you to try my horchata."
[Rosa offers it to Hector who takes a sip]
Hector: "Mmm, delicioso, mi amor."
[Drinks more, until Rosa takes it back]
Rosa: "Still missing something. Maybe coconut."
[Leaves]
Bobby: "I don't think the spell worked, Carl. Read it again."
[Suddenly they hear zapping from the freezer case. It opens and a zombie appears, he exits the freezer]
Hector: "That doesn't look right!" [Takes the book] "Wait a second… Carl, you didn't read us well for a ghost you read one for zombies." [More walking dead emerge from the freezer] "A lot of zombies."
Carl: [Ecstatic] "Woah! They're even scarier than a ghost! My mistake was genius!"
Bobby: "Now we are totally gonna win the Halloween contest."
Carl: "Yeah, well, celebrate later. Our scary decorations are getting away."
[The zombies walk right out the door. The boys gasp]
Hector: "We gotta get 'em back before Ernesto comes to judge the store."
Bobby: "How do we capture zombies? I should find Lucy, she probably knows."
Carl: "No way! If we ask her she'll find out we used her spell book. We can handle this. Come on!"
[Carl runs outside followed by Hector and Bobby]

[Back upstairs, Carlos and Lisa have reassembled the skeleton]
Lisa: "Nice work, Professor."
Carlos: "Right back at 'cha, Lisa. It took two great minds for this reconstruction. Now let's get it down to the mercado. The boys are gonna be thrilled we fixed it."
[They begin to wheel it out, when the boys come charging in, accidentally deconstructing the reconstructed skeleton]
Bobby: "Sorry about that."
Carlos: "On the bright side now we can rebuild it and swap more Halloween knowledge."
[Lisa squeals again. The boys return, Hector with the mercado van keys]
Hector: "Okay, I've got the van keys."
Carl: [Wearing his El Falcón mask] "And I've got a new costume."
Bobby: "And I've got new underwear. Those zombies were scary."
Lisa: [Gasps] "Zombies?"
Carl: [Not wanting to get caught] "Oh, he means totally fake zombies."
Carlos: "Fun fact… zombies love snacking on human brains and are hungriest at night."
Lisa: "Indeed they're ravenous after six p.m." [Looks at her watch] "Ooh, look, it's six-fifteen." [With the skull] "Feeding time."
[The two nerds chuckle while the vampires grow worried and hurry out]

[They drive the van down the streets]
Bobby: "You guys heard what Lisa and Tío Carlos said. We need to send those zombies back to wherever they came from before they hurt anyone. Or you know, eat anyone."
Hector: "What! And let Hong or Margarita win the Halloween contest? No way!"
Carl: "Yeah, first we win the contest then we send them back."
Hector: "Look! Zombie in the park."
[Outside the par, a zombie is approaching Bruno's hot dog cart, a scared Bruno holding tongs and a mustard bottle in defence. The mercado van arrives and Carl opens the back, holding his grappling gun. Grapples the zombie and pulls him in. The doors close and the boys continue. Next, they get a zombie about to eat a stranger, then another as it's chasing someone. They continue collecting the zombies all over the city. Meanwhile, a street light is flickering, below is, the kids are still trick or treating]
CJ: [Thrilled] "Look, more zombies." [There are more zombies in an alley, they see the kids and approach them] "Our costumes are way better than theirs."
[The zombies approach the kids, who don't realize]
Leni: "Hi. Love the effort, but can we make a few suggestions about your outfits?" [Approaches a zombie] "Open your mouth a little more."
Carlota: [Approaches the other one] "And let's rip this shirt." [Tries to, and rips the zombie's whole arm off. Realizing] "Wait, Leni, that's a real zombie arm."
Leni: [Also realizing] "Which means…"
Lucy: "They're real zombies."
[The two older girls scream and run, Boris approaches Lucy while the rest of the kids scream and run. Meanwhile, the mercado van is still driving]
Hector: [Thinking they got them all] "Let's get these zombies back to the mercado."
Carl: "Abuelo! Big one at two o'clock!" [The van stops as a very big and muscular zombie approaches them. Carl snags him with the grappling gun, but the zombie just pulls on the line, pulling Carl out of the van. Carl tries to grab onto the window] "I can't pull him on my own."
[Bobby grabs his primo and pulls, and Hector grabs Bobby as he gets pulled out of the van. All three get pulled out, swung over the zombie's head and tossed into a fence. Hector sees the big zombie steal the van and drive away, with all its friends]
Hector: "Get back here! You undead bobo!"
Bobby: "He drove off with all our zombies! We have to find Lucy and get her to help, or else the city is doomed!"
Carl: "But that means she's gonna know we used her spell book." [Bobby and Hector glare at Carl] "Okay, fine but I'm saying it was all Bobby's idea."
[Meanwhile the kids are still running for their lives from the two zombies]
Ronnie Anne: "Quick! Down this alley!"
[They hide in the alley and the zombies walk right past. They look and see the coast is clear]
Lincoln: "Let's move." [They tiptoe away, but are immediately bumped into by Hector, Carl and Bobby] "What are you guys doing out here? There are zombies everywhere."
Carl: "Lucy, I have something to confess. How do I put this?"
Lucy: [Having a pretty good idea] "You used my book of spells and unleashed real zombies."
Carl: "Wow, telling you was easier than I expected." [Takes out the book and approaches Lucy] "Sorry."
[Gives it back]
Boris: "You should really put a lock on that."
Carl: "This is all my fault."
Hector: "It's our fault too, Carl. We got too caught up in the Halloween competition."
Bobby: "But now we have no clue how to stop the zombies."
Lincoln: "Lucy, is there a spell that'll lure the zombies back to the portal at the Mercado?"
Lucy: [Thinks] "The only thing zombies always want are brains."
Carl: [Thinks] "That's it. We've got the two biggest brains in the city."
[Back at the apartment, Bobby and Leni set up amplifiers in a window. Carl pushes Lisa and Carlos into the mercado]
Carl: "Dad, Lisa, we decided that we'd love to hear all your Halloween knowledge."
Lisa & Carlos: [Actually buying it] "Really?"
Carl: "Of course, it sounds so fascinating." [Takes out two microphones] "Speak into these microphones so the whole neighborhood can hear you."
Hector: "Yes, please, tell us."
Lincoln: "I can't wait."
Boris: "Boris is ready to be wowed."
Carlos: "Well, I believe Halloween dates back more than two-thousand years."
Lisa: [Into the mic] "Correct, it started as a Celtic festival called Samhain, which means summers end." [Her voice is blasting across the city] "Trick-or-treating has existed since Medieval Times, pranking was an essential part of the festivities including placing livestock on rooftops and tipping over outhouses."
[The zombies are quite intrigued and go to the mercado]
Carlos: "In the Middle Ages people would go door-to-door and receive soul cakes to acknowledge the departed relatives of their neighbors. Later, it was only children who did this thus starting an early form of trick-or-treating." [Bobby runs into the mercado, all the zombies chasing him. Carlos still thinks they are just sharing wisdom] "Oh, look at those costumes. They look frighteningly real."
CJ: "That's because they are real."
Carlos: [Horrified] "You're telling me those are actual zombies who are now thirsting for... our..."
[Knows exactly what the zombies want. The zombies pile into the mercado]
Zombies: "Brains! Brains!"
Lisa: [Aghast] "You used us as human bait?!"
[Swats a zombie arm with her microphone]
Bobby: "We're sorry, but we had to get them here so we could get rid of them."
Lisa: "So can we get started on the uh... getting rid of them, part?" [Swats the zombie again] "My brain is kinda important to me."
Zombies: "Brains!"
Lucy: "Allow me." [Opens her book, but a zombie eats the page with the spell] "Sigh, the zombie ate the page with the spell on it."
Carl: "We're doomed."
[The zombies close in. Suddenly, Rosa returns, unaware of what's happening]
Rosa: "I think I finally perfected my horchata. Here, taste." [Offers some to a zombie. As soon at it drinks, it turns to dust] "Aye, I didn't expect that reaction."
Ronnie Anne: "Abuela, what was in that?"
Rosa: [Still not realizing the zombie apocalypse] "The usual, milk, cinnamon. Oh, I did add an extract from a rare vanilla plant, that comes from the Popocatépetl volcano. It only blooms every two-hundred years. No good?"
Lisa: "Quite the opposite." [Ducks a zombie grab]
Carlos: "Your ingredients are perfect, apparently the zombies are allergic to volcanic vanilla."
[Ducks another arm as a mop swats it away]
Carl: "Abuela, we're gonna need all your horchata. Ronnie Anne, we'll need all our water blasters, too. Hurry, we'll keep the zombies busy" [Everyone splits up. Boris, Carl and Bobby wave the zombies to one side of the mercado and Lucy, Carlos and Lisa let the zombies chase them down an aisle. Rosa waves everyone else out of the mercado. Then she gets the blasters, loads them, and gets them to everyone] "Okay, everyone. Blast 'em!"
[Everyone charges, blasting the horchata and turning the zombies to dust]
Rosa: [A little upset] "Hector, I can't believe I have to give up Ernesto's horchata because you raised a horde of zombies."
Hector: "Rosa, we're sorry." [Puts a hand on his esposa, she accepts] "We'll find a way to make it up to you. Behind you!"
[Rosa blasts another zombie. Just then, Lori pulls up again and exits Eliza with her full costume on]
Bobby: [Gasps] "Oh-no, Lori. Ah! I totally forgot to prepare our romantic Halloween. Now I'm really doomed."
Lori: "I'm back, Boo-Boo Bear." [Sees the chaos] "Wait, what the heck is going on here?"
Bobby: "Hey, babe. Look, I gotta tell you something…" [Just then the really big zombie returns] "Look out!"
[Bobby shoots the zombie as Lori screams]
Lori: [Liking Bobby's heroic vibe] "Bobby, did you literally have Lucy raise the dead and stage an entire zombie attack just so you could save me?" [Bobby's not sure what to say, until Lori hugs him] "That is the most romantic thing ever! I love this holiday."
Bobby: [Seeing his chance] "Happy Halloween, Babe." [Takes Lori close] "Now let's blast some zombies together, uh, like all couples do."
[Hands her his blaster, and is thrown another one. The vampire and scarecrow share a kiss and get blasting. Before too long, the last hand gets dusted]
Ronnie Anne: "We did it, they're all gone."
CJ: "Yay!"
Carl: "Yeah, but we wrecked the store and the decorations."
[Just thn, someone enters the mercado. It's Ernesto Estrella]
Ernesto: "Hola, it is I, Ernesto Estrella, here to judge your…" [Sees the state of the mercado] "Wow, these are some crummy decorations. I mean nice effort. Actually, no. Not even that. I'm afraid you do not win the contest."
Hector: "We understand. But before you go please try this horchata Rosa made just for you."
[Blast some horchata into Ernesto's mouth]
Ernesto: "This is the best horchata ever." [That's all Rosa wanted to hear. Ernesto kisses her hand] "Rosa, you have dazzled Ernesto. Unlike these decorations. I'm off to declare Mr. Hong the winner. He has a ghost who loves Korean food. Adios."
[Bumps into Boris on the way out]
Boris: "Allow Boris to get the door."
[Shines a creepy smile that scares Ernesto into Rosa's arms]
Ernesto: "That's the scariest monster I've ever seen, you win, your mercado is besto."
[Starts sucking his thumb as everyone cheers]
Carl: "Boris! You did it! We should have just used you from the beginning."
[Boris is flattered by this]
Boris: "Boris is touched."

[Time for the commercial. Ernesto picks up a mango]
Ernesto: "The freshest produce, delicious horchata, helpful family owners! I see great savings in their future at the Casagrande's mercado. Es tu destino."
[The Casagrandes are watching their commercial]
Ronnie Anne: "That was awesome."
Hector: "Now we better start thinking about how we're going to win next year."
Carl: "Leave that to me! Look what Lucy accidentally left behind." [Carl still has Lucy's spell book] "Ooh, here's a good spell for witches."
Everyone Else: "Carl! No!"
[More lightning flashes]
