Augusto "Gus" Gamesngrub[1] (first credited as "Manager") is a recurring character in The Loud House, who made his first appearance in "Grub Snub". He is the owner of Gus' Games and Grub.

Biography[]

At some point when he was younger, he and his father opened Gus' Games and Grub. He had always dreamed of being an opera singer, but never followed that dream because he was too shy to sing in public.

Personality[]

Although he does not appear onscreen in "The Waiting Game", he was shown to be a strict manager, as he would often address Lori (and later Lincoln) by their last names. He was also strict about Lori giving Lincoln too many free rewards, as he made her work overtime to pay for it, which prevented her from attending the dance she got the job for in the first place. However, he was shown to be easily convinced by Lincoln volunteering to take her spot instead, which shows he was at least somewhat understanding.

By the events of his first onscreen appearance, Gus's personality changed drastically from his original depiction. He is now much friendlier and acknowledges Lincoln and Clyde as his friends, and he only is ever stern when he gets wronged. He is also revealed to be glossophobic during "Love Me Tenor", but he manages to overcome it.

Appearance[]

Gus is a slender man with dark tan skin. He has short brown hair and a long black mustache. His main attire consists of a bright yellow long-sleeve shirt under a teal sweater under a white apron, brown jeans, and teal sneakers.

Trivia[]

  • The episode "Love Me Tenor" shows that Gus can sing opera for five consecutive hours.
  • Gus is one of the very few characters in the franchise who has a singing double in addition to his usual voice actor, along with Lincoln and Michelle.
  • He, Mr. Grouse, Stella, Rita, Lynn Sr., Ronnie Anne, Bobby and Mick Swagger are the only characters whose faces weren't shown in their debut appearances.
  • When he writes postcards to his pen pals, he writes in marinara sauce.[2]
