Trivia[]

  • While this episode does not directly reference the same event, Lynn's competitive behavior seeping into her sleepover hosting is a callback to the Loud House episode "Overnight Success", where it was also mentioned that it served as an eventual cause to sleepovers being banned from the Loud house.
  • Although "Nice Guys Finish First" is Zia's first official appearance, this episode marks her broadcast and chronological debut.
  • This episode reveals the following:
    • Lynn has ruined many past sleepovers through various methods, including:
      • Seriously injuring one of her friends during a pillow fight
      • Causing an explosion by pouring lighter fluid over the campfire while toasting marshmallows
      • Killing Old Man Willoughby in a parachute accident because of a "truth or dare" game
        • This episode also reveals that because of Lynn's reckless behavior, she has never completed a sleepover before. However, she would end up completing her first one in this episode due to Zia sticking around.
    • Because Lynn has ended numerous sleepovers early, Lynn Sr. has prevented her from attending any that she was ever invited to by taking her shopping for cleats in Wisconsin.
    • None of the girls on Lynn's club team attend Royal Woods Middle School.
    • Lynn has ten baseball gloves.
    • Lynn is the top pole vaulter and kayaker in the state of Michigan.
    • Luan does zen gardening at all of her sleepovers.
    • Rita's mother has always said that a broken bone gets stronger as it heals.
    • Zia's grandmother is still alive, and Zia enjoys her root beer floats.
    • Zia is an only child.
  • Lana keeping 1,000 termites against Rita's orders is a callback to the Loud House episode "Ruthless People".
    • This episode further reveals that 500 of them have broken loose from their enclosure.
  • The objects the Louds were instructed to collect and remove from Lynn's room during Operation: Clean Sweep:
    • Specific items:
      • Baseballs
      • Bats
      • Gloves
      • Cleats
      • Nets
      • Basketballs
      • Skates
      • Pucks
      • Soccer balls
      • Hockey sticks
      • Kayaks
      • Fruit
      • Helmets
      • Paddles
      • Rackets
      • Shin guards
      • Footballs
      • Volleyballs
      • Pole vault equipment
      • Dodgeballs
      • Ping-pong balls
    • Groups of objects:
      • Anything she can throw
      • Anything she can hit
      • Anything she can kick
      • Anything she can pass
      • Anything she can volley
      • Anything she can slap
      • Anything she can punt
      • Anything she can bop
      • Anything she can catch
      • Anything she can dunk (not mentioned on the plan papers)
  • Luan's idea that a fake cover-up works in cartoons and could thus likewise work in real life may be a reference to how The Really Loud House is a live-action spin-off of the animated The Loud House.
  • Luna rocking out on the harp may be a reference to the Loud House episode "Driving Ambition", where she played a harp in a flashback while still wearing her rocker outfit.
  • Lynn owning a pole may be a reference to the Loud House episode "A Bug's Strife", which mentions that she and Lynn Sr. took father-daughter pole-vaulting lessons together.
  • Lynn imitating the dialogue from Louds' fight over the microphone is similar to Miguel repeating Leni's warnings to Scoots in the Loud House episode "Food Courting" and Sergio repeating Adelaide's aggression towards Nico when he snagged the radio in the Casagrandes episode "Squawk in the Name of Love".
  • Lola, Lana, and Lisa are shown playing the same trivia game that Rita and Lynn Sr. did with Dr. Simmons in "The Blemish Dilemish".
  • Innuendo: Lincoln warns Lynn not to say that she will "destroy [Zia's] grandmother at a root beer float-making contest", implying that "destroy" could have meant "murder" in addition to "defeat" in the same context.
  • Irony:
    • Lynn Sr. dresses up as his fifth-oldest daughter due to them sharing the same name.
    • Luan's vacant garage disguise ended up decepting Lynn Sr. instead of Lynn Jr. when the former went to store the latter's cleats, then again when he attempted to protect the dodgeballs.
    • The Louds' attempts to keep Lynn from injuring people were in vain because a single feather landing on her face caused her to initiate a full-scale pillow fight against their will, sending all of the sleepover guests (barring Zia) home early.
    • Clyde off-handedly commenting that he is an only child prompted Lynn to repeat after him, directly contradicting her (and Lana's) earlier suggestion to invite her sisters to a root beer float night.

References[]

  • Last Friend Standing - The title of this episode is a reference to the expression "last one standing".
  • Terraria - Lisa demonstrates that Lynn could hypothetically use a banana as a boomerang, similarly to the Bananarang from this 2011 sandbox game developed by Re-Logic.
  • Twister - Luna attempts to rig Lynn's sleepover with a game similar to this floor mat game manufactured by Hasbro.
    • Coincidentally, Froot Tangle is based on the same game, although the game in this episode appears to be from a different brand.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants - Upon spotting Lynn in the backyard over the security cameras, Lincoln exclaims, "Sweet mother of Pearl!", the exact same phrase that Mr. Krabs uses whenever something bad happens.

Errors[]

  • Julianne Frick's name is misspelled in the credits as Julianna Frick.
  • Possible plot hole:
    • At the beginning of the episode, Lincoln laments about getting heartbroken about his efforts to see Charlie becoming wasted in a manner that heavily mirrors the events of "The Tennessee Surprise: Love Is in the Air", which was produced after this episode. However, it is likely that they had another conflict prior to this episode that had a similar result.
    • Lincoln mentions that Lynn has never completed a sleepover before, despite the fact that she lasted through the entirety of his and Clyde's sleepover in the Loud House episode "Overnight Success". However, it is likely that he was referring to sleepovers that Lynn herself had hosted, as the incidents all occurred during sleepovers that she hosted.
  • Despite the twins having grown their teeth in "A Musical to Remember", Lana is briefly seen with her front teeth missing when she blows the smoke off her drill.
