Le président (English: "The president") is a France-exclusive card game based on The Loud House. It was released by Hachette Jeunesse on June 12, 2019.[1] Description[]From the Amazon listing: Retrouve Lincoln et ses dix sœurs dans le jeu du Président ! Sois le premier à poser toutes tes cartes pour devenir Président et éviter de finir Super-Moisi… À toi de jouer ! Translation: Find Lincoln and his ten sisters in the President's Game! Be the first to lay down all your cards to become President and avoid finishing Super-Moisi… It's up to you! Gameplay[]The game functions like a normal game of president. At the start, each player picks a random card from the deck. The player with the lowest-value card is the first dealer. (If there is a tie, each player must pick a card again.) The dealer then shuffles and distributes the cards among each player, one at a time. The player to the dealer's left goes first. On each turn, a player lays down either a single card or a set of cards face-up on the table. After each turn, the next player to go is the player positioned clockwise to the last player. The next player must play the same quantity of cards, and the rank must be higher than the last card played. If there are no legal moves possible, the player passes and the next player's turn begins. The play continues until each player passes consecutively, at which point the cards on the table are flipped face-down and pushed aside. The player who played the last card will then begin the next play. This process continues until every player has played all of their cards. Afterwards, the seating arrangement changes. The player who laid down all of their cards first is the president, followed behind by the vice president, the Speaker of the House, and so on down to the last player, who is the beggar. The vice president sits to the left of the president, and the other players sit in the same descending order. Each player also receives a starting amount of points depending on their position; the president gets two points, the vice president gets one point, and the remaining players get zero points. The beggar must shuffle, deal, and clear the cards when necessary. After the deal for each hand is complete, the beggar gives their highest card to the president, who gives back a card of their choice in return. The president then begins the next play. The game continues until one player reaches a predetermined point total. The player in question wins the game. References[]
