Lincoln and Clyde's David Steele movie turns high-stakes when Lisa builds a nuclear reactor.
Synopsis[]
Lincoln and Clyde are filming an unofficial David Steele film, and have Todd play as the film's antagonist, Chip Micro. After they wrap up the final scene, which has Lincoln and Clyde stopping Chip Micro from destroying Royal Woods with a nuclear reactor after dealing with his holograms, the three get to work on putting their footage together. As they do so, Lisa arrives and asks where her nuclear reactor is, saying that if it were to fall into the wrong hands, it might destroy Royal Woods. Lincoln, Clyde and Lisa attempt to find it with the latter's computer, but the computer tells them that they're denied access of finding it. At that moment, Todd informs them that he was looking at footage of the set after filming and discovers Flip lingering around the machine. Thinking Flip is responsible for stealing the reactor, the kids decide to go after him in the "Steele Mobile" (really just Lola's jeep with a new coat of paint).
At a street intersection, the three spot Flip and proceed to chase after him. After a brief chase, the three manage to catch Flip, but to their shock, he says that he never stole the reactor, and proves it by saying that he had an alibi of when the footage was taken, and that he doesn't "glitch". Examining the footage, the kids realize that the "Flip" in the footage is one of Todd's holograms, and Lisa discovers in another video of footage that Todd's "villain switch" (which Lisa installed to make Todd's acting more authentic) is still on, meaning she forgot to turn it off and that Todd believes he's Chip Micro. After managing to track Todd hanging out at a warehouse, the three jump into the Steele Mobile to head to the warehouse. Unbeknownst to them, FriendBot 1000, who had been spying on them, informs Todd that they're coming. Todd attempts to throw the heroes off by hacking into the Steele Mobile and driving the vehicle to Tall Timbers Park to make it crash into the lake. The three heroes have no choice to jump out, and after watching the car submerge into the lake, they decide to go to the warehouse on foot.
Later, the three arrive to the warehouse, where the front entrance is being guarded by Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms. They manage to get inside by disguising themselves as robots, but they quickly blow their cover by whistling (since robots don't have lips), causing Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms to tell the robots to open fire. Lincoln manages to stop Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms by distracting him long enough to take out his battery, and Clyde manages to stop the DareBot chasing him and Lisa by using a hand mirror to reflect a laser back at it. With the robots taken out, the three find the room housing the reactor, and Todd arrives as well, announcing his plan to destroy Royal Woods. The three attempt to help Todd turn off his villain switch, but he traps them in a net and proceeds to rip off the switch so that he'll be evil forever. After Todd brags to the three heroes by revealing them footage he took of them reacting in shock to his villainy, Lincoln gets an idea and tells Todd to bring up footage of past moments of him spending time with all the siblings. With the good memories overriding his villainy, Todd reverts to normal and releases the kids. They attempt to stop the reactor from activating, but the shutdown button is jammed. Lincoln manages to loosen the button by squeezing olive oil onto it. With the destruction of Royal Woods stopped, the kids and Todd decide to go home, but after Todd calls shotgun for the Steele Mobile, the kids realize that they left it in the lake at Tall Timbers Park.
At Tall Timbers Park, as Lola has a tea party with her stuffed toys, she hears something bubbling in the lake. Investigating, she discovers her jeep surfacing, causing her to scream in horror.
This episode uses the same title card music as "Present Danger".
As a callback to that episode, Lisa warns Lincoln not to scratch the Steele Mobile due to the fact that it's on loan from Lola, as she stated that no invention of hers can withstand Lola's wrath. The ending even suggests dire consequences.
This is the last episode to be boarded by Stu Livingston before he left production for the show.
References[]
Lights, Camera, Nuclear Reaction - The title of this episode is a pun of "lights, camera, action", a common phrase used during filmmaking.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 - Todd's hologram-creating function works in the same manner as how Chester V in this movie can create holograms of himself, along with confusing Lincoln/Flint by having the holograms hold the same remote as the original.
Errors[]
When Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms and DareBot are chasing after Lincoln, Clyde, and Lisa, two DareBots were seen.
Also, Mr. Reinforced Titanium Alloy Arms goes in the direction Clyde and Lisa went, but is shown chasing after Lincoln, who went in the opposite direction.
Plot hole: Lily is wearing her current outfit in Todd's flashback of him watching The Dream Boat with the Loud kids, even though it took place a year ago.
