Lincoln and Clyde try to review the food and arcade games at Gus' Games and Grub…they just didn’t count on it being so crowded.
Synopsis[]
Lincoln and Clyde have arrived at Gus' Games and Grub, intending to review their favorite place in Royal Woods. Before the two kids head inside, Clyde voices his concerns about getting special treatment, though Lincoln reassures him they can review Gus' as themselves. They head inside as Flip parks his van at a parking spot intended for compact cars.
The two friends realize the Games and Grub is fully packed-up; however, there are a few empty spots at the back, though Lynn and her baseball team swiftly take it. Lincoln and Clyde inquire with the hostess, Janet (who sounds rather exhausted and whose nametag Clyde misreads as "Jeanette"), only to find out it'll be a while before they're served - which conflicts with Clyde's 9pm curfew. Janet hands the boys a buzzer, which they never had to do. In addition, it turns out the boys had come into the Games and Grub on the weekend of the Royal Woods Cherry Pit Spit, which means Scoots is present with a complimentary pit spit - which she gives to Clyde.
Lincoln and Clyde barely dodge the pit spits and run to the arcade, which Lincoln explains is the best part of the establishment. However, Lynn quickly hogs all the basketball machines, so the duo decide to play Smack-a-Rat and a bit of Dance Battle. The boys' buzzer goes off during their session and they inquire again with Janet, only for the hostess to tell the boys she gave them a busted buzzer. She hands them another buzzer and tells them to wait again, but Clyde is still longing for food, so Janet hands them complimentary garlic knots, which end up being rather hot and spicy. The boys wash off the heat with some ice just as a table opens up... only for Chandler to take it just as they get there.
Chandler is immediately treated to Gus' treats and games as Lincoln and Clyde look on forlornly. Seeing this, they decide to give Gus' two thumbs down. As they start to leave in disappointment, however, they soon come face-to-face with the head of Gus' Games of Grub, Gus Gamesngrub himself. (Clyde initially mistakes him for his father.) Seeing the disappointment in his two regulars' faces, Gus treats them to a complimentary full meal in the kitchen - everything they like is all there for them, and the boys can add a brand-new pizza to the menu! However, Gus is interrupted by the van from earlier. Lincoln and Clyde, satisfied and full, gives the establishment the highest rating as they try out more spicy garlic knots.
This is the first Listen Out Loud episode, and Loud House media, where Asher Bishop voices Lincoln.
This episode was first released on iTunes on May 3, 2020, predating Asher's first episode as Lincoln, "Wheel and Deal" (which premiered on June 17, 2020).
With this episode's release, Lincoln is the first character to get more than one episode in the podcast.
The episode reveals that Gus' Games and Grub was founded by a father-and-son duo whose last names are Gamesngrub, and the son Gus considers Lincoln and Clyde their best customers.
