"Lisa Loud" is the twelfth episode of Listen Out Loud.

Plot[]

Lisa invites listeners to call in to "Ask a Brainiac" with questions for her, but soon grows suspicious about the identity of her callers.

Synopsis[]

Lisa introduces the listeners to her episode of Listen Out Loud, where she, as the resident genius of the Loud House, invites listeners to call her and ask questions of intellectual matters. However, she quickly finds herself getting calls from her own family, under the guise of other people.

  • Her first caller is a seemingly British man south of Liverwallshiretownship, wanting to spend £40 and looking to see if he has enough money for a box of ice cream sandwiches after all of his groceries. With basic addition and subtraction, Lisa calculates that he should have £4 left, enough for one box of ice cream sandwiches. In his exuberance, the man accidentally reveals himself to be Lynn Sr., who is at the grocery store. Lisa immediately realizes that she had been tricked, and her father explains that he only called her because she's good with numbers, and there are around six people in line.
  • Her second call comes from a clown with a question about economics. The clown explains that she gets 20 cents per balloon animal, and wants to know how many balloon animals she needs to make to cover 12 dollars she spent on rubber nose rental. With simple division, Lisa deduces that the clown needs 60 balloons to break even, and the clown makes a corny pun in response, revealing her identity as Luan, who is at a birthday party. Luan explains that she was going to blow balloons, but she figures that she could pull quarters from children's ears, which is way more profitable.
  • Hanging up from Luan's call, Lisa forbids listeners whose initials are L. Loud from calling. Just then, she gets a third call from a Western author confused from a puzzle. The author explains that she has four days to write 200 pages, writing 11 pages per hour with one extra-large chai latte for motivation, and wonders how long will it take to finish her book and how much she needs to spend in coffee shop gift cards. Lisa calculates that the author needs 18 hours to finish the book, with $73 in gift cards. In her panic, the author reveals herself to be Rita, who is under a deadline. Rita also points out that Lisa didn't say anything about callers whose initials are R. Loud.
  • After angrily warning all Louds listening to cease and desist calling, Lisa gets a fourth call from an allegedly grown man who has one arcade token and is ten tickets short of a gift he wants, looking for a game that gives him the best chance of obtaining ten tickets. Taking his stats into account with physics, geometry, and probability, Lisa figures that his best bet is skee-ball. The "man" reveals himself to be Lincoln, explaining that he and Clyde are trying to obtain glow-in-the-dark Ace Savvy wallets. Fooled by her own family once more, Lisa angrily hangs up on her brother.
  • With so many Louds calling, Lisa begins to regret doing her podcast when a fifth call arrives, and she reluctantly picks up. The caller, a baseball fanatic with a thick Brooklyn accent, asks her if choking up on the bat helps with hitting, and after doing calculations, Lisa affirms that it is true. Before she can elaborate on the answer, an announcer reveals the caller to be Lynn, who is playing baseball and hits a home run before Lisa hangs up.

Utterly defeated by her own family, Lisa completely regrets her own podcast when the family members who called her on the phone arrive to apologize for ruining her podcast, feeling that they should give her a break. They have one last question asking about a unique organism who is bipedal, thrives in extreme environments, is native to southeastern Michigan, and supports an entire ecosystem. Lisa is completely stumped, and the family reveals the organism to be Lisa herself. Charmed by her family's love for her, Lisa has them all in a group hug, but they accidentally knock over a beaker of potassium sulfate.
