Plot[]

Carlota needs a PE credit to graduate, so she and Ronnie Anne set out to find the right sport for her.

Synopsis[]

At Chavez Academy, Carl, Ronnie Anne, and Carlota are walking down the hall when Principal Valenzuela approaches them. Carl grabs his backpack, which doubles as a jetpack, and tries to flee but flies straight into the ceiling, thinking she's after him for his milk scam. She tells them she's here for Carlota, thinking she's here for her makeover offer. Principal Valenzuela tells Carlota she's missing a PE credit, and without that credit, she won't be able to graduate. Ronnie Anne tells her it should be easy, but Carlota says sports aren't her thing. Ronnie Anne suggests helping her find the right sport.

Later, at a soccer field, Ronnie Anne is prepared to teach Carlota how to play soccer. Mia comes by and is excited about the opportunity to have Carlota be on a team with her. Carlota puts the ball on the ground, but she picks it up with her hands and throws it into the net. Next, she tries to kick, but the ball bounces off the goalpost and hits her. Then she tries to run up and kick the ball, only for her shoe to fly off with it, and the ball hits Laird. Later, the two girls are at a pole vaulting crossbar. Mrs. Kernicky demonstrates how to pole vault. Carlota goes to the start of the track with her pole, charges, and tries to vault, but the pole ends up stopping perfectly vertically. Suddenly the pole leans backward, snaps back, and flings Carlota forward towards Laird.

Back at Chavez Academy in the gym, the next sport Carlota tries is fencing. Mrs. Kernicky blows her whistle with the fencing students. Carlota puts her helmet on, but she puts it on backwards and starts swinging the foil wildly, accidentally slicing Becky's ponytail right off. Becky charges at Carlota while trying to pull her sword out of the floor, but manages to get the foil unstuck, taking a piece of the floor with it and sending Becky flying back. Becky charges again and jumps on the floor, breaking off a huge chunk that sends Carlota flying right into the girders.

Later, the two primas are walking in the park. Carlota knows she won't get that PE credit to graduate, so Ronnie Anne suggests taking a break to get some hotdogs. Bruno and Vito playing basketball, Bruno misses a shot, and the ball bounces to Carlota, who effortlessly dribbles it between both hands and makes the shot. They're amazed to see how Carlota is good at basketball, Vito comes over and wants to see how good she really is, Ronnie Anne takes out her phone to film the game. Bruno and Vito stand no chance, and Carlota easily beats them. Mia comes by and tells Carlota she's a natural, while Ronnie Anne also tells her they think they've found her sport.

The next day, the Chavez Academy girl's basketball team is getting warmed up. Mrs. Kernicky isn't sure about Carlota making the team, but Ronnie Anne shows her the video of Carlota's slam dunk. Amazed by it, she tells Carlota that this is her tryout for the team. Carlota steps up in a really green uniform that she's really unsure of. The game starts, and the ball is thrown to Carlota, who heaves the ball in Mia's general direction, but she hits the mascot. Next, she steals the ball from the opponent and runs, but gets called for traveling. She then dribbles up the court and makes the basket, but it was in the wrong basket. Mrs. Kernicky tells Ronnie Anne that Carlota is ruining their chances of winning and doesn't think they can keep her on the team. Carlota overhears them and is devastated, thinking it was only a fluke. Ronnie Anne discovers Carlota sulking in the locker room, realizes something is wrong, and sets out to figure out what it is. Ronnie Anne looks at the video from the park and then realizes the outfit Carlota's wearing. She tells her when she wears something comfortable, she's way more confident, and that helps her play better. Carlota then knows how to fix her outfit.

Carlota returns to the court with a pink outfit and feeling much better. Mrs. Kernicky tells her she can't wear that new uniform since everyone on the team has to match, but Mia and the other players all have uniforms matching Carlota's. Carlota asks Mrs. Kernicky if she and the rest of the team can wear the uniforms, to which she agrees. The referee blows his whistle, and Carlota wins the jump ball, passing it to Mia, who takes the shot and sinks it. Carlota sinks more shots and realizes she only has ten seconds left and is only down by one point. She charges with the ball, evading the defenders. She jumps and makes another slam dunk as time expires, winning the game. The rest of the team runs up to Carlota and picks her up, putting her next to Ronnie Anne. She tells Carlota that she is awesome and thanks her for finding a sport. Mrs. Kernicky tells Carlota that the PE credit is hers and welcomes her to the team. The rest of the team was about to dump water onto Carlota, but she stopped them, and they threw the water onto Laird. Carlota then gives him a sweater, but Vito and Bruno come by wanting a rematch. Vito shoots the ball, but it hits the rim and hits Laird.
