Trivia[]

  • This episode calls back to A Loud House Christmas by acknowledging Clyde's dads' hobby of adapting hit films into theater musicals.
  • Among the cast list for Top Gun: The Musical are Katie M. Best and Adan Hernandez, two of the series editors, as the flight captain and assistant flight captain, respectively.
  • In this episode, Luan gets her learner's permit. This makes her the fourth Loud sibling who is legally allowed to drive, after Lori and Leni, who both have licenses, and Luna, who has an unspecified type of permit. However, she is the third established sibling who is allowed to drive, as Lynn Sr. mentions that Luna can drive after Luan mentions that she has her permit.
  • This episode reveals the following:
    • Rita taught Lori and Luna how to drive.
    • Lynn Sr. taught Leni how to drive.
    • Lincoln has slept with Bun Bun every night since he was born. He even finds it difficult to sleep without him.
    • Whenever Lana brings stray pets into the house (previously established to be forbidden in "The Macho Man with the Plan"), Rita makes her inform Lynn Sr. if it poops in the house, and if it has a name tag on it, she makes her find the rightful owner.
    • The Loud parents have backups of their kids' favorite stuffed animals in the basement to replace the old ones if they get lost or destroyed.
    • Lily's teddy bear is named Mr. Bear.
    • Clyde has suffered from so much anxiety, he has a suitcase filled with many stuffed animals, including the following:
      • Hippity Hippo, a hippopotamus that likes to be held
      • Gentle Giraffe, a giraffe that Clyde describes as a "soothing presence"
      • Moo Moo Cow, a cow that Clyde describes as a "good hang" that a person would want to have a rupee with.
      • Worry Walrus, a walrus that wards off nightmares
      • Feelings Frog, a frog with a pull string that promotes self-esteem
    • Lynn Sr. considers pickleball to be a corrupted form of tennis.
  • Lincoln mentioning that he hates coffee is likely a callback to the Loud House episode "Lock 'n' Loud".
  • This is the last episode:
  • Irony:
    • When Luan sneaks out of Vanzilla and scares Lynn Sr. by suddenly appearing at his door, he claims that she reminds him of Lucy. In real life, the actresses that play the two characters are sisters.
    • Lincoln calling Rita a monster for presenting him with a substitute Bun Bun (which he likewise calls "soulless") initially comes off as dismissive, but he decides to use the replacement Bun Bun to get the original back from Lily.
    • When Luna throws Buddy Purkens' guitar out the window of his car, she speeds off, prompting him to wonder who taught her how to drive. The scene then cuts to Lynn Sr. apologizing to some other senior citizens due to Luan tearing off the side doors to their car.
      • Additionally, his driving lesson happens to take place on the same parking lot where Luna threw out the guitar, nearly causing another accident.
      • It is also ironic that Luna gets criticized for her reckless driving, despite the fact that Rita taught her how to drive, while Lynn Sr. establishes that his methods of teaching people how to drive are more reckless than Rita's methods.
    • Lincoln spending the night with Worry Walrus prevents him from having nightmares as Clyde intends, but this ends up being due to him being unable to sleep without Bun Bun.
    • While Lincoln is discussing the things he wants to say to Zia in front of Clyde, Zia herself walks into the kitchen, prompting Lincoln to say exactly what was on his mind.
    • Upon finding Buddy Purkens' guitar in the parking lot, Lynn Sr. decides to return it, unaware that Luna had already tried this with an unfavorable outcome.
    • After helping put the condiment cups back on the serving tray, Lynn Sr. bumps his head on the tray, causing them to fall back onto the floor.
    • Throwing Evangeline in the trash can initially seemed to be the solution to the dilemma of the guitar being abandoned, but after hearing the reason why Buddy Purkens got rid of the guitar, she decided it was destined to come back to him because he described it as "[his] life".
    • When Rita questions Lynn Sr. about the fee needed for a new door (referring to the doors that Luan previously tore off a car), Lynn Sr. tells Rita that he can't lie to her about the situation anymore, only to lie that he decided to buy a new front door to the house for their anniversary. He even takes Luan out to buy the door to hide the fine from Rita's attention.
    • While getting the new front door, Lynn Sr. accidentally tells the doorknob maker to inscribe "I a-doob you" on the doorknob instead of "I a-door you". He also takes Luan into the store to prevent any reckless driving, only to discover a dent on the front of his convertible due to another reckless driver being present in the parking lot.
      • Lynn Sr. also ends up with tire tracks on the door by asking, "What else could go wrong?" while recounting all of the mistakes he has made while teaching Luan how to drive and not paying attention to other cars in the parking lot.
    • Lynn Sr.'s teaching methods resulted in Leni learning how to drive recklessly, causing her to rear-end the convertible he was using to teach Luan how to drive. Rita even points out the flaws in his teaching methods by saying, "So the car of the driver you're currently teaching got hit by the car of the only other driver you've taught."

  • Top Gun - Lincoln mentions that Clyde's dads have finished a run of their musical production of this 1986 action film.
  • George Thorogood - The score that plays when Lynn Sr. drives up in his new car (previously used in "Ro-Bro") resembles this musician's 1982 song "Bad to the Bone".

Errors[]

Loud Blues TV wrong description

Wrong description on television guide.

  • On certain TV listings, this episode shows the plot for "The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos" as its summary, possibly because both episodes share the same production code.
  • Possible: Luna travels to Sunset Canyon to return her guitar to Buddy Purkens, even though she mentions that she found it in a junk pile at the Burnt Bean (along with the ownership tag inside the case not coming with an address). However, it is likely that she recognized the name as one of the retirement home's citizens.
