The McBride house, house number 2072, is the home and residence of its namesake the McBride family, consisting of Clyde, Howard, and Harold McBride, along with their cats Cleopawtra and Nepurrtiti. Its first appearance is in the episode "Left in the Dark", and its first proper appearance is in "Overnight Success". It is the second most frequently-visited residence, after the Loud house.

Appearance[]

Exterior[]

The McBride house is a one-story house with white exterior walls, a white garage door with two overlapping rectangles, a purple roof, an interior chimney, an orange front door with a viewing window, a stone wall next to the front floor, and two sliding doors leading to the backyard.

Great Room[]

The Great Room has pale grayish-orange walls, and three different types of flooring, that divide the room into three distinct areas, these are:

Entrance Area.

The Entrance Area: With a brown floor, its namesake, a short hallway with a single confirmed door, possibly leading to the garage, and a small indoor garden containing a single tree next to a narrow fixed window.

The Living Area: With light grayish orange carpeting, a semicircular dark cyan couch with three orange pillows on it, a television set that includes a DVD player and a video game console, a cabinet with a cat statue on it, a thermostat, and two doors.

The Dining Area: With a dark grayish yellow floor, a circular table with four chairs surrounding it, a pendulum clock, two bar stools next to the kitchen counter, alongside the entrance to the kitchen, the entrance to an unknown room, and three windows, one of which is a sliding door which functions as one of the entrances to the backyard. Howard and Harold do not allow cell phones in the dining area.

Notes: The room's first appearance was in "Attention Deficit", at the beginning of the episode.

Hallway[]

The hallway with the rainbow painting.

The hallway has light grayish orange-carpeting and grayish yellow walls adorned with a light fixture, an abstract painting, a photo of the three McBrides, and a rainbow painting representing the LGBT pride flag. It is connected to Clyde's room, Howard and Harold's room, the bathroom, and a guest room.

Unproven: It is also highly likely to be connected to the great room, most likely by the entrance opposite the kitchen, which, if it is the case, would make it extremely likely to be the location of the chimney's fireplace. It is also possible that the second backyard entrance is located within an unseen part of it.

Notes: The room's first appearance was in "Baby Steps", at the beginning of the episode. The door to the guest room, however, did not appear until "Purrfect Gig", nearing the endpoint of the episode.

Clyde's room[]

Clyde's room.

Clyde's room has soft yellow walls, dark grayish-yellow carpeting, a single window, a desk chair, a bean bag, a dresser, a lamp, a set of three shelves, and a bed. It is located next to Howard and Harold's room and is opposite to the bathroom.

Notes: A prototype version of his room, comprised of a purple background divided in half by a black line, containing only a poster of Lori, appeared in the first official episode of the show, "Left in the Dark", at the beginning of the episode.

A more feature-complete version of his room appeared in the third episode of the series "Heavy Meddle", nearing the endpoint of the episode, and another one appeared in "Overnight Success", likewise nearing the endpoint of the episode.

The current version of his room appeared in "Absent Minded", at the beginning of the episode.

As previously stated, in "Left in the Dark", it is shown that Clyde has a poster of Lori on his wall, and in "Save the Date", a shrine for her is likewise seen in his room, however, since Clyde no longer has a crush on Lori, they are unlikely to still be there.

Howard and Harold's Room[]

It is located to the left of Clyde's room and is opposite to the guest room.

Bathroom[]

As of "Purrfect Gig", the bathroom has been shown to have dark grayish green tiled walls, a dark grayish lime green tiled floor, and one bath with no visible shower head. It is located next to the guest room and is opposite to Clyde's room.

Guest Room.

As of "Purrfect Gig", the guest room has been shown to have dark grayish orange walls, grayish orange carpeting, a window, a two-person bed, a nightstand, the cats' cat bed, and a two-person chair. It is located next to the bathroom and is opposite to Howard and Harold's room.

Notes: This version of the room was used as a temporary kennel for Cleopawtra and Nepurrtiti, and an ideal place to quietly sing lullabies (Purrfect Gig).

A possible version of this room with light grayish red walls, dark grayish blue carpeting, a window, a one-person bed, and a nightstand with a lamp on it, appeared in "Exchange of Heart", to house Tiago.

The same, or not.

It is also possibly a completely separate room, based on the fact that the door to the current version of the guest room did not appear until "Purrfect Gig", alongside the fact that the hallway that this room was connected to appeared to lack all the features associated with the hallway mentioned in this document.

Kitchen[]

Kitchen.

The kitchen has soft orange walls, a dark grayish-yellow floor, a single window above a semicircular dark cyan couch next to a circular table, a counter, several cabinets full of food and dinnerware, one filled with cleaning supplies, a fruit bowl, a toaster, a blender, a wall clock, a dishwasher, an oven, and a refrigerator with the word "snog" (which means to kiss and caress lovingly) spelled on the front.

Notes: The room's first technical appearance was in "Attention Deficit", at the beginning of the episode. However, its proper introduction did not occur until "Exchange of Heart", at the beginning of the episode.

Family Room[]

The family room has grayish-yellow walls, a grayish orange floor, three windows, two shelves, a dark cyan couch with two orange pillows on it, a dark cyan armchair, a television set that includes a DVD player, and a video game console, and a small staircase leading to a room with a chair, a table, and a window.

Unproven: This room is possibly connected to the great room, most likely by the door next to the entrance, and is opposite to the garage.

Notes: The room's first appearance was in "Cover Girls", at the beginning of the episode.

The room, on several occasions, has been depicted as being located in the back of the house, despite the fact that in its first appearance, it was clearly established to be located in the front of the house.

Washing Room[]

The washing room has dark grayish yellow walls, a checkered pattern floor, a cabinet filled with cleaning supplies and a vacuum cleaner, a washing machine, a dryer, and a metal shelve.

Unproven: It is possibly connected to the great room, most likely by the door next to the kitchen.

Notes: The room's first appearance was in "Baby Steps", at the beginning of the episode.

Salon[]

Salon.

The salon is where the McBrides prepare for the day. It has dark grayish cyan walls that lighten in color near the bottom, a grayish orange floor, three mirrors, for each family member; with Howard and Harold's being twin mirrors, with sinks located beneath them, and the word "His", written in the decorations on the top, well Clyde's mirror is twice the size of theirs and has a barber chair next to it when he (and on one occasion, Lincoln) needs his hair cut.

Unproven: It is possibly connected to the great room, most likely by the door next to the kitchen.

Notes: The room's first appearance was in "Attention Deficit", at the beginning of the episode.

Entertainment Room[]

Entertainment Room.

This room is where the McBrides can relax. It has dark grayish-green walls, a dark grayish-yellow floor, a minibar, several armchairs, and a TV. It appears to be in the basement.

Unproven: It is possibly connected to the great room, most likely by the door next to the kitchen.

Notes: The room's first appearance was in "Attention Deficit", at the beginning of the episode.

Trivia[]

  • According to Clyde in "The Green House", the house is solar-powered, so he and his parents don't burn any fossil fuels.
  • In "Along Came a Sister", Clyde brings Lincoln a casserole that his grandmother made, implying that she lived in the neighborhood before moving to Sunset Canyon. It is unknown if she lived in the McBride house at the time, although it seems unlikely since she is never seen eating dinner with the family.
  • The mailbox appears to read "Mc Bride".
  • The house was once featured in the Modern Michigan magazine.[1]
