Trivia[]

  • This is the first Really Loud House episode to premiere in another country before the United States, although a clip of this episode was leaked by the Nickelodeon US YouTube channel prior to its premiere in the United Kingdom.
  • This is the first Really Loud House episode to premiere on the same day a Loud House episode premiered, that episode being "Welcome to the Doll Heist".
    • Thus, this is also the first episode to be part of a premiere week, with said premiere week likewise being the first in the franchise to overlap with one from another series.
  • This episode reveals the following:
    • Lincoln inherited his "boyfriend confidence" from Lynn Sr. This episode even shows it to the point of him adopting Lynn Sr.'s nickname of "Big Dog", which was previously used in "No Louds Allowed".
    • The twins once let a stray cat into the house, and it clawed up one of Rita's sweaters until the bottom was completely shredded.
    • Before Lily was born, the Loud parents agreed that they would each potty-train five of the kids. However, Lynn Sr. chickened out every time, so Rita ended up potty-training all ten of Lily's older siblings.
      • By extension, Lynn Sr. also mentions that Leni had to be potty-trained twice.
    • Lincoln once faked being a coma to get out of cleaning the gutters. He has even decided that such a course of action should be his last resort for anything, as he wrote it on a scroll that he keeps inside a fake flashlight with a passcode.
    • Lynn will only respect deals made that involve winning a competition with her.
    • Lily uses Poopy Panda diapers. She has also become attached to the brand's mascot, which has prompted her to avoid becoming potty-trained as a means to see it again.
    • Lana has potty trained over 100 animals.
    • Lincoln does not know how to knit.
  • Lisa's issue of being antisocial is a callback to the Loud House episode "Friend or Faux?".
  • Lynn's reaction to Lincoln calling her a chicken is similar to the one triggered by Meat Mountain doing the same in the Loud House episode "Can't Lynn Them All".
  • Lincoln's lack of skill in sports is a callback to the Loud House episode "The Loudest Yard".
    • Since one of the sports that Lincoln failed at was football, this episode implies that he has forgotten how to play since that episode, or has simply retained the wrong information that he used at the end.
  • This episode implies that Lynn Sr. knows how to pick locks, as he asks Leni to bring him lockpicking supplies while trying to free Lisa from behind the security gates at the mall.
  • Innuendo:
    • When Zia tries to shut Lincoln out of the attic, she throws a bag of soccer balls, which he catches and exclaims, "What's up, soccer balls?" before dropping the bag behind him so it hits Clyde, who makes disgusted noises when he lands on the floor.
    • Lana mentions that she learned never to shake a lamb by its tail after potty-training it, implying that she got sheep feces all over her hand.
  • Irony:
    • While supplying Lynn Sr. with tasks for watching over the kids, Rita first mentions that Lynn Sr. needs to potty-train Lily or else she can't get enrolled into school, followed by reminding him that Leni is grounded and therefore can only leave the house to go to school.
    • Leni and Lisa's issues are polar opposites; Lynn Sr. claims that Leni is too social and should start reading a book, while Rita arranged a playdate for Lisa due to her not being social enough.

References[]

  • Nice Guys Finish First - The title of this episode is a reference to the proverb "nice guys finish last", which is when individuals who are kind, considerate, and respectful have a harder time succeeding in their own goals.
    • Lynn Sr. even mentions the episode's title when he reflects on his efforts to complete the tasks Rita assigned to him, followed by Lincoln when he prepares to defeat Lynn at lawnmower jousting.
  • Rebecca Black - The pop song Leni introduces to Lisa, "It's Hump Day," is likely a parody of this singer's song "Friday."

Errors[]

  • Plot hole: The twins explain on their chart that having one cat makes the Loud family a regular cat owner, even though adopting Cate would cause them to own two cats because they already own Cliff.
