"Nixed Signals" is the twenty-second episode of the third season, and the ninety-seventh episode of The Casagrandes. Plot[]Frida asks Carlota to spend a spa day with her to enjoy quality time, but can they both stay off their phones? Synopsis[]Carlota is recording a vlog about what to wear for her and Frida's mother and daughter day, but Carl interrupts the vlog by showing his butt to the camera. As Carlos is putting food on the table, Frida comes in and shows Carlos the sweater she's wearing, which has an image of Carlota as a baby. Carlota comes in and tells Frida that she's ready to go. Frida asks Carlos if he will be okay watching over the boys, to which Carlos tells her that he'll be fine, only to get covered in fake lava from Carl's volcano and stepped on by Lalo. Carlos goes to the window and tells the two girls to be back by 3:00. Frida takes Carlota to the Art Space Gallery to show a sneak peek of her exhibit for the show, Romeo tells Frida he wants to take pictures of her art for her show but can't decide which one. Carlota decides to do vlog to show hew followers a sneak peek of Frida's artwork. There next stop is at Goddess Greens to have lunch, Frida asks Carlota what should they order but Carlota does a another vlog to ask her followers to vote on what they should eat. After their food arrives, Frida was about to take bite but Carlota takes the Aphrodite wrap so she can take pictures of it. At Margarita's Beauty, Carlota is getting a new hairstyle, once Margarita is done Carlota starts taking pictures. Frida tells Margarita she wants her usual trim but Carlota ask her followers that hairstyle Frida should get, they voted for bangs. Once outside of Margarita's, Carlota tells Frida that she looks like a supermodel with the bangs and wants to take a picture but Frida doesn't her to take a picture and tried to take Carlota's phone but falls in to a trash can. Frida tells Carlota the she doesn't want to share what little time they have together with her followers. Carlota apologize and give her phone of Frida. Later the two girls are at Ah, That Feels Good Spa, Frida hears a phone buzzing thinking it's Carlota's phone but it's hers. Frida sees that Romeo wants her to call her so she elects to call him in a locker. Romeo tells Frida her exhibit has gone viral and wants her to respond to fans. Frida tells him it isn't a good day for her but Romeo states that she must seize the opportunity. The two girls are relaxing in the steam room when Frida's phone buzzes, she decided to turn up the steam in the room causing Carlota not being able to see so she can respond to her fans. The second they exit the steam room, Frida's phones buzzes again with more messages so she elects them to get massages. Frida puts Carlota on the massage bed and tells the Hostess to giver her a deluxe massage. While the Carlota is getting a massage, Frida is once again responding her fans. Later the two are taking a mud bath and again Frida phones buzzes so she splashes mud and places hot rocks onto Carlota's face. She sees that Romeo wants her to call him again, Frida then makes a mud figure that looks like her. Frida call ups Romeo and he tells her Jim Sparkletooth wants to livestream interview with her. Carlota still in the mud bath talking about why she broke up with her boyfriend she takes off the rocks from her eyes and sees that "Frida" is crying and she hugs "Frida" but the mud figure falls over. Carlota then hears laughter coming from the changing room, she enter the room to see Frida on her phone doing her interview. Frida explains that she was using her phone for her art and important to respond to her fans. Carlota then states that she uses her phone for vlogging and it's important to her. Frida realize that Carlota uses vlogging to express herself and social media is her paintbrush. Frida offers to give Carlota's phone back but she doesn't want it since it was nice to disconnect from it and wish they had to time for a do-over, then Frida comes up with an idea. At the Casagrande apartment, Carl and CJ use the water from the toilet as a waterslide, they see "Frida" and "Carlota" are home and will clean up the mess but it's just mud figure of the two them. Carlos comes out of the bathroom but slips on the water and crashed into the mud figures of Frida and Carlota thinking he'd "killed them", but instead Frida and Carlota are relaxing in a pool on the roof.
