"Pressure Cooker" is the second episode of the eighth season, and the three-hundred-thirty-fifth episode of The Loud House. Plot[]Royal Woods' best bakers, Clyde and Nana Gayle, decide to get their own food truck together. Synopsis[]Today is the monthly Potluck Night at Sunset Canyon. As Lincoln engorges himself with all the food he can eat while Tyler provides entertainment, Pop-Pop, Scoots, Seymour and Bernie eagerly wait for the dessert to arrive, which is cooked by the finest chefs in Royal Woods: Clyde and Gayle McBride, who made chocolate eclairs and butter cookies, respectively. When Pop-Pop comments that only he and the elders get to enjoy this food, Seymour gets the idea that the two McBrides should open a business together selling their treats. Clyde and Gayle like this idea, but Gayle comments that she doesn't have the funds to rent a building, prompting Tyler to make the suggestion that they run a food truck instead. Clyde and Gayle agree to this decision, and Bernie reveals that he even has the perfect vehicle for the job. The next day, Bernie reveals the vehicle Clyde and Gayle can use: The Wrinkly Rider, Sunset Canyon's former travel bus. Despite its ragged and run-down appearance, everyone agrees to help fix it up. Later, as the Louds and McBrides work on renovating the travel bus soon-to-be food truck, Lynn Sr., arriving with some stoves and a fridge to donate to the McBrides, tells Clyde and Gayle that, as an entrepreneur himself, running a business can be very rewarding, but also requires hard work, patience and compromise. Clyde and Gayle are not worried, believing that they are perfectly in sync, but when Harold asks what color to paint the truck, the two have opposing decisions. Later, at the McBride house, Howard and Harold ask Clyde and Gayle what kind of treats they will sell. Gayle suggests that they make treats that are quick and simple to make like cookies and brownies, while Clyde suggests treats that are more fancy like tarts and macarons (to which Gayle argues that dishes like those are too time-consuming to make). Realizing they're at an impasse again, the two attempt to make some lemon tarts for Howard and Harold, but the two are revealed to have different ways of preparing the dish: Clyde sticks strictly to the book with exact measurements, while Gayle goes by instinct and adds copious amounts of ingredients without properly measuring them. Sensing some tension between the two, Howard and Harold attempt to intervene, but they chicken out at the last second. Suddenly, Gayle gets an idea: because the truck has two windows and two stoves, she and Clyde can occupy their own window, so that way, they can cook their dishes in their own preferred way. Clyde accepts the idea, and makes the wager that, whoever is more successful, their method is what they will stick with. Later, Clyde and Gayle have officially opened up their food truck at Tall Timbers Park, with both of them occupying their own window: Gayle's Simple Sweet Treats, and Clyde's Fancy Pants Pastries. When Clyde comments that Gayle doesn't have much of a line, Gayle remarks that she served all of her customers already, and that Clyde's fancy treats are taking too long to make (to which his line consists of people whose patience is starting to run thin), prompting Clyde to hastily get to work prepping them. Suddenly, Gayle, using Clyde's moment of distraction to her advantage, proceeds to steal his line of customers. Before long, Clyde and Gayle resort to bribing the customers with special offers, resulting in a back and forth with seemingly no end. Howard and Harold once again attempt to intervene, but they chicken out again. Realizing they're at a stalemate, Clyde secretly calls up Lincoln to tell him that he needs help in drumming up more business. Sometime later, Lincoln tries to convince the customers to shop at Clyde's window, only for Gayle to reveal that she enlisted Tyler to convince the customers to shop at her window. Eventually, their competition gets so heated up, they begin to call dibs on the ingredients and supplies. When they fight over a bowl, it slips from their hands and accidentally releases the truck's parking brake, causing the truck to start rolling forward (Lincoln and Tyler notice this, but they are too late in stopping the truck after it rolls down a hill). However, Clyde and Gayle are too preoccupied in making their dishes to realize they're rolling away. After a struggle over a container of lard, the two suddenly come to their senses and realize the mess they made. Realizing they let their competition get out of hand, the two apologize to each other and decide that they both sell simple and fancy treats together. However, it's at this moment that Clyde and Gayle realize that they are far from Tall Timbers Park, as their truck has rolled onto a cruise ship headed for Ireland. Despite this, the two share a laugh, saying that this is a fitting punishment for their arguing, and that it's the perfect opportunity to make scones together. As the two get to work, Clyde remarks that he should call his dads first about their predicament. Cast[]
