First appearing in "Deep Cuts", Rivers planned to cut one of the clubs due to the final budget as her personal assistant Oliver advised. The cutting of the Music Club, all the Sports Clubs, and the Theater Club led to different ways to convince her to change her mind much to the dismay of Oliver. Due to a big protest leading to a cracked historical acorn statue coming off and rolling into the double doors, Rivers and Oliver run up the numbers leaving Rivers no choice but to cancel all of the clubs. Lori, Luna, and Luan come up with a fundraiser idea that helped to pay for the repairs and save all the clubs.
In "Undercover Mom," Luan ropes Rita in her disguise of Britta into watching her car-based prank on Principal Rivers.
In "In the Mick of Time", Principal Rivers allows Luna's suggestion to have Mick Swagger perform at Royal Woods High School with her being a fan of him.

Despite being a principal, she doesn't seem to be able to make decisions on her own as she gets persuaded easily, often dependent on her personal assistant Oliver to help her decide things.

Principal Rivers is a tall and slim light-skinned adult woman with long and curly black hair. She wears a lavender scarf on her head, a long white pearl necklace, a yellow long-sleeved shirt with a big collar, a dark purple coat and skirt, and white boots.
