[At Sunset Canyon] Seymour: "Here at Sunset Canyon we have many wonderful amenities." [Seymour is giving a tour for Myrtle, Albert and Lincoln are with them. Lincoln liking the fast golf cart ride] Lincoln: "Yeah!" [They drive into the dining area] Seymour:[Picking up where he left off] "Like these state of the art vending machines. Located right outside the cafeteria, where every meal is a culinary adventure." Albert: "I love Mystery Meat Mondays. Is it chicken? Is it rattlesnake? Who knows?" [Just then, his stomach rattles] Lincoln: "Mystery solved." [They continue their tour. And end it in the main lobby] Seymour: "I sure hope you enjoyed your tour of Sunset Canyon, Myrtle. Not that you needed one, I could have sworn you already lived here." Myrtle:[Laughs] "Everybody thinks that. Probably cause I'm always here visiting this one." [Cuddles Albert, whom's stomach rattles again. Everyone laughs] "Which is why I definitely want the available room, here's my application." [Hands it to Seymour. Seymour takes it] Seymour: "Well, we do have another applicant. The board will take a day or two to decide and, we'll let you know if you get the room." Myrtle: "Okay, thanks Seymour. Finger's crossed." Seymour: "Thank you for your interest in Sunset Canyon. Now, time to see what this baby can do on shag carpeting." [Revs up the engine and zooms off. Myrtle jumps into Albert's arms] Myrtle: "Well, I better get moving if I'm gonna catch the bus, to the ferry, to the taxi, that takes me home." Albert:[Puts Myrtle down and sighs] "I hope you get the room here, Myrtle-dove, just once I'd love to watch a sunset with you." [They hug] Lincoln: "You two have nothing to worry about, the man with the plan's got this. I'm going to make sure Myrtle gets in here." [Suddenly, Seymour crashes through a door] Seymour: "Sorry, there was a snag in the shag."
[Meanwhile, at the Sunset Canyon pool, three ladies are practicing their synchronized swimming. Bernie enters leading the McBrides.] Bernie: "And this here's our pool room." [Smells] "Love that chlorine smell." [Mr. and Mr. McBride look at each other in a serious way. Howard puts a life vest, water wings, helmet, goggles and snorkel on Clyde, before Clyde's ready, and Harold takes a pool sample in a test tube] Harold: "Bernie, how often do you test the bacteria levels in the pool?" [Adds a drop of fluid into the tube and is disintegrates in his hand, Harold is shocked] Clyde: "Hey, where's Nana Gayle?" [A tray of lemon scones is being carried to the pool, be Clyde's Nana, finally appearing onscreen for the first time.] Gayle: "Sorry, I popped by the kitchen to test out the oven. Anyone care for a lemon scone? [The elderly ladies exit the pool wanting scones, knocking a rather germaphobic Harold into the pool] Harold: "Get me out of this giant toilet!"
[Later, the McBrides and Bernie return to the main lobby] Gayle: "Thank you so much for the tour, Bernie. Here's my application." [Gives it to Bernie] Bernie: "Just so you know, there is one more applicant. The board will take a day or two to decide, and we'll let you know if you get the room." [Walks away] Gayle:[To her family] "I really hope I get in here. This place is wonderful." Harold: "It would be so great to have you living close by, Mom." Howard: "Yeah, that would mean more game nights, more museum hopping." Gayle: "And, more time to cook family meals together." Clyde: "Don't worry Nana Gayle. I'm gonna make sure you get the room. I'm the man with the plan. Actually, I'm best friends with the man with the plan. But I learned a lot from him."
[The next day, at the Royal Woods Mall, Lincoln is power walking with Seymour, and losing] Seymour: "Thanks for doing laps with me." Lincoln: "Anything for my favourite Sunset Canyon board member. Phew, didn't expect you to be this fast." Seymour: "I gotta hit my daily ten thousand steps." Lincoln: "You know who else likes walking? Myrtle. If she gets that room, she could be your walking bud." [Suddenly, Lincoln falls into the fountain]
[Meanwhile at the Royal Woods Spa, Clyde and Bernie are having fish pedicures, Clyde rather apprehensive] Bernie: "Thanks for treating me to this Clyde. I read in Grey & Groovy Monthly that fish nibbling spas are all the rage." Clyde: "My pleasure. You know who else loves the spa? Nana Gayle. If she gets that room at Sunset Canyon, she could be your new spa buddy." Bernie:[Thinks about that] "Oh, ho ho, hey. These little guys sure are hungry." [The fish are really gnawing on Bernie's feet. Clyde takes his feet out of the tank] "Can we get more fish in here? I got seventy years worth of calluses." [Clyde is repulsed]
[Later that night, at the opera house Bernie is escorted to a V.I.P. area, followed by Lincoln] Bernie: "Oh. Wowie-wow! These seats are amazing, you must have spent your entire allowance on these tickets." Lincoln: "Well, I figured an important board member like you could use a break once in a while. And hey, you know who has season tickets to the opera? Myrtle." Bernie:[Gasps] "You don't say." [They both look through their opera glasses. Lincoln sees the audience, moves along past Clyde and Seymour in the V.I.P. area across from them and fixes on two men resembling the Muppets' Statler and Waldorf, then abruptly returns to Clyde and Seymour, Clyde has opera glasses and is also looking in Lincoln's direction] Lincoln:[Gasps] "Clyde and Seymour?" Clyde:[Having seen Lincoln] "Lincoln and Bernie?" Lincoln & Clyde: "What are they doing here?" [They gasp realizing and run out of their respective V.I.P. areas, which are actually quite adjacent. They meet up in the theatre lobby, not too happy with each other] Lincoln: "Nana Gayle is the other applicant at Sunset Canyon?!" Clyde: "You know my dad's have been wanting her to move closer for years." Lincoln: "Well Pop-pop's been trying to get Myrtle in too." Clyde: "So that's why you're schmoozing Bernie!" Lincoln: "Well, you're doing the same thing with Seymour." [The boys start arguing, and Seymour and Bernie walk up to them] Bernie: "Boys, stop shouting, we can hear you over the opera singers." Lincoln: "Just tell Clyde, you're giving the room to Myrtle." Clyde: "What this schmoozer meant to say, is you're giving it to Nana Gayle." Seymour: "Look boys, we know this is awkward. Nana Gayle and Myrtle are lovely ladies. But, my vote is for Myrtle. Anything for by buddy Al." Lincoln: "Yeah!" Bernie: "And my vote's for Nana Gayle." Lincoln: "Huh?" Bernie: "I could use a good spa buddy." Clyde:[does a victory dance] "Woo-hoo!" Lincoln: "Calm down Clyde, it's a tie." Bernie: "Which means we'll have to take this to the head of the board." Lincoln: "Wait, there's a head of the board?"
[The next day at Sunset Canyon, the head of the board is once again guzzling pudding straight from the dispenser] Scoots: "If your grannies want the room, they're gonna have to battle for it." Lincoln: "We waited forty minutes just for you to say that?" [Scoots belches pudding in the boys faces]
[Later, at the McBride's residence] Nana Gayle: "As mush as I want to live at Sunset Canyon, I wouldn't battle someone just for a room. Though I am taking that kickboxing class." [She lets out a cry and chops the breakfast nook table. Then she catches her tea before it spills. Meanwhile in Albert's room] Myrtle: "Well you can just tell the board to let the other applicant have the room. My fighting days ended when I left the South American Wrestling Association." [Shows her tattoo from said association. Lincoln and Clyde both think] Lincoln & Clyde: "I'm not gonna let you give up just yet, I've got a plan."
[The day of the battle at Sunset Canyon. A pair of white sensible footwear, and an outfit resembling Myrtle's is worn by Lincoln, who applies red lipstick and looks towards the front desk where seemingly, Nana Gayle is standing." Lincoln: "You must be Nana Gayle. I'm Myrtle, so nice to meet you." ['Nana Gayle' turns around] Clyde:[With his real voice] "Nice to meet-[Clears his throat and uses an old woman voice] "Nice to meet-" [Gasps, recognizing his best friend] "Lincoln?" Lincoln: "Clyde? What are you doing?" Clyde: "What am I doing? What are you doing? There's no way you can pull off- Wow, did an incredible job with Myrtle's cat eye makeup." Lincoln: "Thanks, it's subtle, but makes a- Wait a minute! You're just trying to psych me out." Clyde: "I don't need to, cause you don't stand a chance. I'm winning that room for Nana Gayle." Lincoln: "I'm winning it for Myrtle." [The boys get in each other's faces, when an airhorn goes off] Scoots: "Alright ladies, it's go time."
[Later, Lincoln and Clyde are stretching] Scoots: "There are five challenges, each designed to see who is more compatible with the Sunset Canyon Lifestyle. Whoever wins the most challenges gets the room, and the glory." [Scoot's boyfriend walk in] "Mmm-mmm. My boo, Tyler'll keep score. Round one, jigsaw puzzles. Go!" [Lincoln and Clyde run to their tables and get started on the puzzles, it's a struggle for both of them, but Clyde takes it] "Time! Round one goes to Nana Gayle." [Tyler chalks one up for Nana Gayle. Lincoln is not happy. Later, they are playing corn hole. Clyde throws his bag a little too hard and accidentally hits an old lady] Clyde: "Sorry." [Lincoln throws his bag and it lands in the hole] Lincoln: "Yeah!" Scoots: "Round Two... Myrtle." [Tyler chalks one up for Myrtle, Clyde is not happy. Later, they are racing service carts across the cafeteria. Lincoln nudges Clyde, and Clyde kicks Lincoln's cart which starts spinning out of control. Clyde breaks through the toilet paper first] "Round three... Nana Gayle." [Tyler erases the mark under Nana Gayle and draws an upside-down number two] "Good thing he's cute." [Later, Lincoln and Clyde are chicken fighting in the pool] Clyde: "Is that all you got?" [An two elderly ladies are watching] Female Senior: "Oh, chicken fight, room must have opened up." [They casually walk away. Lincoln and Clyde continue fighting, and Scoots and Tyler float up the the fight] Scoots: "Yeah! Noodle her." [Lincoln wins the chicken fight] "Round four... Myrtle." [She puts a two on the board. The score is tied. Later, the boys are wrestling in a pool of pudding, Lincoln has Clyde pinned on a table] Lincoln: "Back off! I want this." Clyde:[Kicks Lincoln away] "You back off! I want it more." [Clyde swings on the chandelier and lands on Lincoln they roll into the hall, where their disguises fall off. Scoots rolls up to them] "Um. We can explain." Scoots:[Laughs] "Relax, I knew you two clowns were wearing disguises. I just wanted a good show." [The boys sigh] Lincoln: "So, did one of us win?" Clyde: "Yeah, so which of out grandmothers get the room?" Scoots: "Neither, cause you both cheated." [The boys groan and sit] "Shows over people. Yo Tyler! Let's go back to my place." [Tyler hops on Scoot's scooter and they take off] Lincoln: "Man, we really messed up. I'm sorry Clyde." Clyde: "I'm sorry too." Lincoln: "Come on, let's go talk to Scoots and see if we can sort this out." [They go to Scoot's room and knock] Scoots: "What?" Lincoln: "It's Lincoln and Clyde. Can we come in?" [Scoots sighs and opens the door] "Scoots, please give our grandmas another chance." Clyde: "They shouldn't have to miss out on living here just because we messed up." Scoots: "Uh, fine. Just quit it with the mushy talk, gives me hives. So who do I give the room to?" Lincoln: "Let Nana Gayle have it." Clyde: "No, give it to Myrtle. I insist." Scoots: "Oh, I don't have all day. Come back to me when you decide." [Scoots pounds in her handlebars and accidentally sets her scooter in reverse. She hits the wall, which is just an imitation, that falls over, revealing an entire second half of Scoot's room. The boys gasp. Bernie and Seymour are alerted by the noise] Bernie: "What's going on?" [Gasps] "Scoots! You've been hogging a giant two bedroom suite this whole time?" Seymour: "Yeah, that's an awful lot of space for just one person." Scoots: "No it ain't. I need the second room to store my scooter, and Ty-Ty's motorcycle." Lincoln & Clyde: "Two bedroom suite, huh?"
[A few days later, Albert and Lincoln are helping Myrtle unpack. While a bitter Scoots watches] Scoots:[Muttering to herself] "Ah, I can't believe this." Myrtle: "Thanks again, Scoots, for giving up your room." Scoots: "Yeah, yeah. Come on Tyler, let's see if we can cram your bike into my new single." [Tyler and Scoots go to their new room and Clyde walks in with Nana Gayle and her belongings. Lincoln excitedly brings Myrtle up to them] Lincoln: "Oh, great, you're here. Nana Gayle, I'd like you to meet Myrtle, my Gran-Gran." Gayle: "Oh, it's so lovely to finally meet you." [Offers a handshake] Myrtle:[Hugs Nana Gayle] "It's great to meet you too. Roommate." [Gayle starts losing breath and Myrtle puts her down] "Sorry, I'm a hugger." [There's a bark, and Nana Gayle's dog jumps into her arms] Nana Gayle: "And this little cutie, is Bingo." Female Senior:[From down the hall] "More bingo? I'm coming!" Clyde:[Calls down] "No! It's the dogs name." Myrtle: "Awe, he's adorable. Oh, I have something for you." [Holds up a sweater Gayle reads] Gayle: "Room." [Myrtle holds up a matching one that reads] "Ies. Roomies? How thoughtful." Clyde:[To Lincoln] "Look at those two. They're getting along so well." [Sniffs] "Just like us when we first met." [The sound of an ice cream truck is heard outside] Bernie:[Comes up to the window] "You ladies better unpack quick. The ice cream truck is here and we get a senior discount." Lincoln & Clyde: "Senior discount?" [Later, the ice cream vendor is giving a scoop to Clyde, who's wearing his Nana Gayle disguise again. Lincoln is dressed as Myrtle again and already has an ice cream] Clyde: "Why thank you young man." [The boys enjoy their ice cream. Scoots comes up but the truck is sold out] Scoots:[Muttering to herself] "Ah, I can't believe this." [She punches her handlebars again, and goes flying backwards again]
