"Road Trip: Bringing Down the House" is the tenth episode of the seventh season, the three-hundred-fifth episode of The Loud House, and the second episode of the Road Trip story arc.

Plot[]

During a visit of the White House, the Loud kids can't help but sneak off and explore the rooms not on the tour.

Synopsis[]

Continuing on their road trip[1], the Louds arrive to Washington DC. Rita is ecstatic that Jesse Hiller gave them VIP passes for a tour of the White House, to which the family is excited to visit, as they want to explore certain rooms, like Lynn wanting to see the president's bowling alley, Lana wanting to see its ice cream parlor, Lola wanting to see the room showcasing all of the first ladies' dresses, and Lynn Sr. wanting to see its kitchen for its historic cooking tools.

The Louds are introduced to "The Bulldog".

At the White House, the family waits inside the lobby. Suddenly, their tour guide, Bosley "The Bulldog" Bullsworth, arrives and, upon learning the Louds' identities, he tells them that during the tour, they would be skipping all the rooms that the Louds wanted to see, claiming their rambunctiousness would be destructive. He warns them not to deviate from the tour whatsoever, threatening to throw them all into the White House dungeon should they ever cross him. With his threat out of the way, Bosley officially starts the tour.

Later, as the Louds continue to tour the White House, Lynn, Lana and Lola each discover the rooms they were looking forward to seeing, and are encouraged by the others to check them out while they cover for them. In the bowling alley, Lynn scores a few strikes; in the ice cream parlor, Lana makes herself a sundae; in the boutique housing the first ladies' dresses, Lola tries out a dress meant to be worn for the president's birthday today. Eventually, the tour concludes, and the Louds are prepared to go to their hotel. However, before they leave, some of the Louds confess that they deviated from the tour, and left behind some damage, including...

  • Lynn accidentally leaving a hole in one of the bowling lanes after throwing the ball
  • Lana accidentally breaking one of the ice cream dispenser's nozzles, causing ice cream to pour out nonstop
  • Lola accidentally ripping the first lady's dress while walking in it due to the dress being much too big for her
  • Luna accidentally breaking one of the strings on a guitar in the presidential music room
  • Lincoln accidentally breaking a bust of Abraham Lincoln while spinning on a chair in the oval office
  • Lynn Sr. accidentally ruining a cake made for the president's birthday while playing with the utensils in the kitchen

Because of their reckless actions, the family believes they are doomed to be sentenced to the dungeon forever, but Lincoln tells them that they should sneak back and fix the damage they caused. After asking the receptionist where the bathrooms are, the family gets to work repairing their destruction, like Lynn and Rita buffing the hole in the bowling alley flat, Lori and Lana fixing the ice cream dispenser with a hairpin, Leni and Lola stitching the first lady's dress (and adding a bow to hide the thread lines), Luna and Luan fixing the broken string by using one of the latter's loose strands of hair, Lincoln and Lucy fixing up the bust of Abraham Lincoln, and Lynn Sr. baking a brand new cake.

S7E06A He wants us to meet him in the party room

Thanks to their antics, the Louds are invited to the President's birthday party.

Arriving back to the lobby, the Louds believe they successfully got away with their actions, only to be informed by Leni that there are surveillance cameras mounted all over the building. Knowing that they're still going to be caught regardless of fixing their mistakes, Lisa suggests that they find the security room and get rid of their footage before anyone finds out. After telling the receptionist that they have to use the bathroom again, the Louds find the security room, but due to the door's tight security, they decide to sneak in via the air vents. Unfortunately, the second they enter the room, Bosley reveals that he has the hard drive containing their footage, as he sensed that the family was causing trouble. Bosley eagerly calls up the president to inform him that he's going to be throwing the Louds into the dungeon for causing trouble, but to Bosley's surprise, the president reveals that he actually likes the enhancements the Louds did, saying that the bowling alley is much smoother, the ice cream machine no longer leaks, the first lady loves the additions to her dress, his guitar is well-tuned, the bust of Abraham Lincoln no longer scares him, and the new cake is even tastier. After speaking with Rita, the president reveals that he was so happy with all the improvements, that he's inviting them to his birthday, much to their excitement. Bosley offers to accompany them so he can make sure they stay in line, but Rita informs him that he wasn't invited. After the Louds head to the party room to celebrate the president's birthday, the now alone Bosley dejectedly proclaims that he's "not happy."

  • Irony:

On top of that, Bosley initially attempted to send them to the dungeon because of their misbehavior, but the president appreciated the results of their enhancements so much, he invited them to his birthday celebration.
    • Rita was so displeased with the kids' actions, she states that she and Lynn Sr. are disappointed in them, only to be told by Lynn Sr. that he got involved in the trouble as well by accidentally ruining the president's cake.
  • Cartoon physics:
