Episode Information

"Road Trip: Hide and Sneak" is the fifteenth episode of the seventh season, the three-hundred-tenth episode of The Loud House, and the seventh and final episode of the Road Trip story arc.

Plot[]

To help Mom make the deadline for her column, the Louds have to avoid the Casagrandes when they visit Great Lakes City.

Synopsis[]

Today is the final day of the Louds' road trip[1], and Rita is determined to publish her column before the deadline tonight. Their final stop is Great Lakes City, where they get to eat at a restaurant called Goddess Greens, visit the Great Lakes City Tower, and watch a concert at the park. Realizing where they are, the kids ask when they can meet up with the Casagrandes, but Rita tells them that, with how stacked their schedule is today, they have no time to visit them. Despite this, the family agrees to stay on schedule.

First, the family eats at Goddess Greens, a restaurant where their menus consist of nothing but emojis. Suddenly, just before they can place their orders, the family discovers Carlota entering the building. Not wanting to be seen by her, the family quickly ducks under their table and make their way towards the exit.

Second, the family is at Great Lakes City Tower, sightseeing from the top floor. Suddenly, as they take in the sights, Sergio and some pigeons arrive to attack a couple tourists for their pretzel, while Carl arrives to catch up with them. As the two are blocking the entrance to the elevator, the family has to resort to using a window washer's pulley system to escape them. However, their combined weight is too much for the platform they're standing on, and despite all the ropes snapping before they can reach the bottom, they manage to fall from a safe height.

Avoiding the Casagrandes is proving more difficult than expected.

Lastly, the family watches a jazz festival happening at the park. Once the performance ends, Rita is happy to know that they managed to complete everything for her article and did it without the Casagrandes seeing them. Suddenly, they discover that the next performers are Bobby and Hector. The family attempts to escape one way, but discover that Carlos, Frida, Rosa and Carlitos have set up a picnic spot, and when they try to escape the other way, they discover CJ and Carl playing with a frisbee. The family thinks they're trapped with no way out, but Luna gets the idea of escaping by hiding in the jazz band's equipment containers.

After escaping the park, the family attempts to head for their RV, but discover Carlota walking towards them and Ronnie Anne arriving from behind them. The family quickly takes refuge in a building, only to discover that they're in the Casagrande apartment building. After witnessing Ronnie Anne about to enter, the family quickly race to the rooftop and shut the door behind them. After a few seconds of waiting, the family attempts to exit, only to discover that the door is locked. Lincoln tries to see if he can escape by climbing through an air vent but doesn't succeed. With no other options, Rita suggests that they call up Rosa, but Lynn Sr., not wanting to let the Casagrandes know they're here, attempts to jump off the roof as a last resort. As the family attempts to stop him, Rosa suddenly arrives and asks the Louds what they're doing in Great Lakes City. After Leni ultimately blurts out the fact that they were hiding from them, Rita, using a rather poor choice of words, admits that they were busy with something and was afraid of them getting in the way. Hurt by these words, as they imply that she and her family would be a burden to them, Rosa sadly leaves to let them finish their task, but, realizing how much they hurt Rosa's feelings, Rita tells her family that apologizing to the Casagrandes is now more important than getting the column submitted in time.

S7E08B Rosa brings out dinner

The Louds' summer-long road trip finally comes to an end.

Sometime later, the Louds confess to the Casagrandes their actions today, and they immediately forgive the Louds, saying that they would've understood if they just told them from the start. Rosa says that when Rita publishes her column, they can stay for dinner, to which the Louds graciously accept. Later, as the Louds and Casagrandes eat dinner together on the apartment's rooftop, Rita writes in the finishing touches on her column and submits it, thus officially ending the Louds' summer-long road trip. Suddenly, just before they start eating, the family witnesses the RV being towed away, prompting Rita to state that they might as well stay the night in Great Lakes City.

Cast[]

Ronnie Anne, Bobby, Hector, Carlos, Frida, Carlitos, Elliot, Mia, and the jazz performers have no lines in this episode.

Trivia[]

References[]

  • Hide and Sneak - The title of this episode is a reference to the popular children's game hide-and-seek.
  • Dr. No - Lincoln mentions that he learned a trick about sneaking through the vents from a David Steele movie, possibly referencing the vent-based escape scene in this 1962 James Bond film.

Errors[]

  • Grey Griffin is mistakenly credited twice in the credits, as her names appear under the characters Carlos Alazraqui voices.
  • Lynn Sr. mentions that the menus at Goddess Greens have nothing but emojis on them, and among them is a beverage container with a green spot on the side. This emoji does not exist, although it comes close in resemblance to the green tea emoji (šŸµ).
  • Possible plot hole: It is unknown how or when the Loud family made it back to Royal Woods after Camperzilla got towed away. Though, it is possible the family went to the pound lot the next day to get the RV back or got a ride home from the Casagrandes.
