Episode Information

"Rocket Plan" is the thirty-second episode of third season, and the one-hundred-seventh episode of The Casagrandes.

Plot[]

Abuelo helps CJ build a rocket, but when things aren't going well, Abuelo tells a little fib to preserve CJ's feelings.

Synopsis[]

CJ is in the living room watching a rocket launch as Hector comes in, lifting up the couch cushion and revealing a bucket of chicken. He asks CJ what he's holding, and he tells him it's his science project. He mentions that his class laughed at his other idea, which is sending a rocket into space like José M. Hernández. Hector decides to help CJ build his rocket. At the park, the two boys are building the rocket when Sergio comes by with a camera to film a documentary. Wondering how to make the rocket fly, they go to the mercado to get soda and mints to use as fuel.

Back at the park, the other Casagrandes kids join to see CJ's rocket take flight. CJ puts the mints in the soda bottles, and the rocket takes off. But then the soda runs out, and the rocket starts coming back down. Sergio attempts to get a close-up of the crash, but the rocket lands on him. The sticker of José M. Hernandez on the toolbox tells CJ he needs more power. The next attempt to make the rocket fly is using Lalo's gas by giving him an achile relleno.CJ gives Lalo the achile relleno and it takes effect and causes a gas cloud, knocking everyone all over the place. The last attempt to make the rocket fly is using the wind while having Mr. Inflatable attached to it. The wind takes the rocket up in the sky but forces the rocket back down, crashing into the mercado and landing on Vito. Hecto tells CJ to keep trying, but he knows his class was right: he can't send a rocket into space. In order to not let CJ lose faith in himself, Hector thinks about buying a rocket to replace CJ's, but he doesn't know where to buy one. Vito tells him he knows a guy who does.

Later at the park, Hector shows CJ the rocket that they brought, thinking it's his rocket. CJ questions why it would work this time around, and Hector tells him he discovered the perfect fuel for the rocket is hotdog water. He goes over to Bruno to get the hotdog water and pretend to pour it into the rocket, but his pants get stuck on the fuel flap and he can't get them off. Preparing to send the rocket into space, CJ gives Lalo an achile relleno and the rocket blasts off with Hector. CJ tells Hector to get off, but he can't. Hector's phone rings, and CJ asks him what they can do. He tells CJ to use his rocket to get him, but CJ tells him he's on his rocket. Hector comes clean by saying he brought a different rocket and painted it to look like his. Wondering how to save Hector, CJ spots Jim Sparkletooth with his hairdryer. He grabs it and tells all the other neighbors to get theirs.

All the neighbors helped CJ build a new rocket with the hairdryers attached. He presses a button to launch the rocket, but it's not strong enough. Jim Sparkletooth tells him to switch his hairdryer to super-duper blast mode, which he does, and the rocket has enough power to fly. CJ's rocket hits the rocket Hector's stuck on, turning it upside down, which makes Hector get unstuck and use Mr. Inflatable to float back down on the ground. The Casagrande kids give Hector a hug and are happy to see he's okay. Sergio comes over with a phone to show CJ's rocket has made it into space. At the same time, José M. Hernández can also see the rocket.
