Sergio Aragonés is a Spanish-Mexican cartoonist, writer and voice actor, best known in connection with Mad magazine and the comic book series Groo the Wanderer. He is said to be "the world's fastest cartoonist" by his peers and fans, and also served as inspiration for the naming of The Casagrandes character of Sergio.

  • He and Lalo Alcaraz are currently the only inspirations for a family pet to be alive when the series was released.
  • Stan Lee interviewed Aragonés in the 1991 documentary series The Comic Book Greats.
  • He appeared as his own preserved head in the Futurama episode "Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences", hosting the "Last Actual Comic Book Booth" at Comic Con 3010.
