Synopsis

S4E20A-neverhavetodoanythingwedontwant

The Loud twins decide to switch places.

In Lana and Lola's room, Lola is getting ready to glitter her ribbon for an upcoming pageant, and Lana is getting ready for Auntie Pam's Ice Cream Parlor's recycling challenge.Suddenly, they're informed by Lynn Sr. that dinner is ready. Lana and Lola express opposing emotions on how to feel. Suddenly, Lola blows some glitter onto Lana and when Lana comments that she looks like Lola, Lola suddenly gets an idea.

At dinner, as Lana eats, Rita asks where Lola is. This prompts Lana to get her, by which she actually dresses up and acts like Lola. Later, Rita gives the twins a bath. When Lola finishes her bath, she quickly dresses up as Lana to fool Rita into believing that she has taken her bath.

The next day, at the elementary school, Lola and Lana continue their charade in order to do things they don't like, like Lana posing as Lola to do rope climbing for Coach Pacowski, and Lola posing as Lana to do math for Miss Allegra. When the school day ends, Rita picks them up and informs them of their upcoming appointments (Lola needing a checkup and Lana needing to have her cavity dealt with). Not wanting to endure those appointments, Lana and Lola proceed to switch places again.

The next day, Lola is ready for her ribbon dancing pageant and Lana has won the recycling challenge. Suddenly, Lola is struck with a fever with a running nose, and Lana has a tooth infected with cavities. Despite this, they proceed to go to their intended destinations. Unfortunately, their situations end up getting the better of them, as Lola's constant sneezing inconveniences her contestants, the judges and Lynn Sr., and Lana's infected tooth renders her unable to enjoy her grand prize of a wheelbarrow of every single ice cream flavor in the parlor.

Can have benefits that suites them both.

As Rita and Lynn Sr. take care of the two and question how their doctors could've failed to fix the twins' problems, Lana and Lola come clean and admit that they switched places because they didn't want to endure the things they don't like. Rita and Lynn Sr. are displeased that the two would do such a thing, and remind them that part of growing up is having to do things they don't like. With the truth revealed, Rita promptly calls up their doctors to schedule new appointments for them.

Later, after they both recover from their ailments, Lana and Lola realize that there's enjoyment out of the things they don't like, like Lola realizing how delicious Lynn Sr.'s dinners can be and how profoundly she grades them, and Lana enjoying showers because of the hair and junk stuck in the drain she gets to keep.

  • In the twins' class, some of their classmates are actually Lincoln's classmates.
  • When Lana and Lola are waiting for Rita to come and pick them up, Lola's backpack is lavender. Then when Lola spills her backpack so she and Lana can switch places, it is dark purple.

What are Lincoln's classmates doing here?

  • Possible: When Lana started eating her free ice cream while feeling the pain in her tooth, the first two scoops she ate appear to be strawberry. But when she says "It's fantastic," vanilla ice cream is seen leaking from her gap.
  • Possible: If Lana actually frequently had cavities as she stated, the dentist would have probably x-rayed or checked her teeth at that appointment and the dentist should have noticed that "Lana" (impersonated by Lola) did not have the fillings that were there at her previous appointments.
