Skater Dudes is a font that was used in The Loud House.

History[]

The most common use for the Skater Dudes font in the show was being the font for the episode titles on the title cards. The font was first used in pilot short, and has remained as the show's official title card font throughout Seasons 1 through 7, and the first eight episodes of Season 8.

Legal Issues[]

Sometime during the production of the Season 8 episode, "Europe Road Trip: A Knight to Remember", the owners of the Skater Dudes font discovered that Nickelodeon did not have the proper license to use it for the show, which forced the company to cease using it immediately, and have it be replaced with a new font made exclusively for the show.

However, the old font is still used on the title cards for localized titles internationally, such as the French and Italian dubs.

Trivia[]

  • Skater Dudes does not have characters for an apostrophe (') or a question mark (?). Because of this, episodes that feature one of these characters need to have the character custom made (see gallery below for reference).
    • Likewise, the font has no precomposed characters containing diacritics. For this reason, the marks must be custom made for localized titles in the aforementioned French and Italian dubs, which also use the font in their title cards.
