Lori becomes a celebrity at school when she hits a hole-in-one on a notoriously difficult course.
Synopsis[]
At Fairway University, Lori is doing her usual rounds of golf. When Lori swings her club at her ball, she, Coach Niblick and the other students witness the ball bouncing off its surroundings until it lands in the hole, giving Lori a hole-in-one. As Lori's game goes on, she (and everyone else) is surprised to discover that she is making successful hole-in-ones on every hole. Before long, word of Lori's game has gone around, and Lori is on the final hole. Lori swings the ball, and upon seeing it land in the hole, everyone cheers for her, as she has become the first person in history to score a perfect 18. While posing for photos, Lori discovers that her golf ball has an emblem that looks like Lisa's glasses and reads "LISA LOUD LABS LLC". Suspicious, Lori calls up Lisa to ask her why there's a golf ball with her name on it. Lisa reveals that it's a "flag-seeking" ball, where its main function is to bounce around until in lands in the hole of the nearest flag, and Lori must've accidentally taken it with her during her last visit. This makes Lori realize that she didn't really score a perfect game, and after Lisa hangs up when an experiment with Geo goes wrong, Lori decides the best thing to do is to confess the truth.
Throughout the day, Lori tries to admit the truth to everyone, but before she can even get the chance to do so, the students and staff proceed to smother her with all kinds of special treatment, like being highly popular among her peers, having a sundae named and modeled after her, getting a personal assistant named Davey, getting a massage in a spa parlor, getting items from the student store for free, and having people clean her room. That night, as Lori sleeps, she has a nightmare where she gets angrily chewed out by everyone who gave her special treatment when they realize she didn't score a perfect 18 and that she had taken advantage of them. Waking up from her nightmare the next day, Lori, fearing that everyone at Fairway will hate her if they find out the truth, decides not to confess after all. Suddenly, a golf ball flies into her room, where an attached note from Niblick tells her to come outside.
Arriving outside, Lori discovers to her horror that Niblick has set up an entire event to show students how to hit a hole-in-one like her. Knowing that she can't pull it off without Lisa's ball, Lori excuses herself so she can grab it. Unfortunately, she is unable to find it, and learns from her classmate, Ali, that the ball was sent to the university's ball washing room. Arriving to the ball washing room, Lori manages to find Lisa's ball from the thousands of balls present, but she falls into a large storage room full of balls and ends up losing it. This prompts Lori to bring in several buckets of balls with her, telling the crowd that her "secret" to getting a hole-in-one is with lots of practice shots. Lori proceeds to swing her club into one golf ball after another, hoping to find Lisa's ball. Eventually, after hundreds of "practice shots" (where the entire green is now littered with balls), Lori breaks down and decides to finally confess the truth about her so-called perfect game.
Sometime later, Lori has decided to assist those she had taken advantage of, claiming that it's only fair for her to do so, even if they're not upset at her. When Ali asks Lori if she had ever found her flag-seeking ball, Lori says she hasn't, only for Coach Niblick to reveal that he found it, as he's being chased by it (since he's carrying a flag).
The title of this episode refers to the fact that a golf swing is called a "stroke."
This is the first episode since "Coupe Dreams" where Lori is the central focus of the episode without her siblings (besides Lisa)
"Lori Days" and "Crashed Course" have Lori in a major role but the main focus is on all 11 siblings together and "Ghosted!" has other characters sharing a focus with her.
This is also the first episode to only take place at Fairway University.
The premise of this episode is similar to that of "The Loudly Bones", as they're both about one of the siblings accomplishing some big feat, only to realize later on that it's a lie, but decide to take advantage of it when they realize that they get special benefits.
