[Inside the Camp Mastodon mess hall, Leni is on the phone]
Leni: "This is a really big decision Gavin. I'm supes proud of you. Call me later if you need to decompress."
[Hangs up]
Lori: "Wow, that seemed really serious. What is Gavin doing that's so huge?"
Leni: "Changing…" [Takes a breath] "..the part in his hair. [She gets emotional.] He's so brave."
Lori: "I think it's totes amaze that you can still be friends with Gavin now that you've broken up."
Leni: "We both agreed that we're better as friends. There just wasn't that sparkle. You know?"
Lori: "You mean spark?"
Leni: "No, sparkle. When I like someone, I literally see sparkles." [Gets up] "Guiding Gavin through such a huge life change has made me hungry." [Goes to the food table. She's about to grab the last bowl of creamed corn, but another hand gets it first] "Oh no. Is that the last bowl of creamed corn?"
River: "Looks like it, but there are plenty of carrots left."
Leni: "Uh, that's a no. My horoscope said orange was not my color today."
[Hides from the carrots behind her tray]
River: [Sarcastically] "Oh, your horoscope, huh? Well, we don't want to mess with something that important."
[Smugly gives his bowl to Leni and walks away. Leni scoffs at him. As River is walking away, Leni gives him the bowl back]
Leni: "Thanks, but no thanks, Mr. Snarky. I don't need charity from someone wearing a safari jacket. Why would anyone need that many pockets?"
River: "What's wrong with pockets? We're at a camp. It's not a fashion show."
[Gives Leni the corn back]
Leni: "Life is a fashion show." [Gives the corn back] "Being a camp is no excuse for a lack of style."
River: "Not sure I need advice from someone who wears nonpolarized sunglasses. You might as well look directly into the sun." [Her sunglasses being her signature accessory, Leni gasps. The two glare at each other and continue shoving the corn onto each other's tray. That is until River knocks it onto the floor. Leni shrieks] "Oh, I'm sorry!"
Leni: [Angry] "You ruined my new sandals!" [Picks them up] "They were perfect for camp. They had little deers and bunnies on them." [River rolls his eyes] "Don't roll your eyes at my themed sandals. How would you like it if I dumped something on your shoes?" [Sees River's shoes and screams in horror] "Toe shoes?! You, sir, are a monster!"
[Storms off, but River is just glad she's gone]

[Later, Lori is consoling Leni]
Leni: "Thanks to that jerk, I have to wear my evening camp shoes during the day. Ugh! He was acting so superior and smog, too."
Lori: "You mean smug?"
Leni: "No smog. He was polluting the air with his negative energy."
[Just then, their Gramps shows up leading three kids]
Leonard: "All right, kiddos. Here's one of the counselors for today's nature hike."
Leni: [Being that counsellor] "Hey everyone, I'm Leni. Wait, there's another counselor going on the hike. Who?"
River: "All right, kids. Who's ready for an exciting hiking adventure?"
[The kids are excited, but Leni no longer is]
Leni: [Growls] "Creamed corn?"
River: "Non-polarized sunglasses?"
Leonard: [Even though Leni and River are obviously glaring daggers at each other] "Oh, good. You two know each other. Have fun."
[Leni and River are not thrilled to be leading the hike together]

[Leni is still grumpy during the hike. The kids are excited and follow her. River, meanwhile, is walking behind everyone with little flags, he sticks them into the ground]
River: "Kids, wait up. I'm just laying down markers so we can find our way back." [Notices Leni isn't stopping] "Hey, fashionista, slow down!"
[Leni growls at that comment and gets in River's face, making him jump into a bush]
Leni: "How dare you use that term as an insult?"
River: [Gets up] "Sorry, I don't know your name."
Leni: "It's Leni."
River: "Hi, Leni. River."
Leni: [looking around] "Where?"
River: "No, my name is River."
Leni: "Of course it is."
[Walks away. River still doesn't like her]

[Later, the kids are getting exhausted]
Leni: [Seeing the kids on the ground] "Ooh. Okay, kids. Let's go find a nice spot for break time."

[Takes them away. Later she offers them some water bottles. The kids] "Here's some water." [The kids take them and drink] "And for a snack, we can forage for berries."
[Leni finds some purple berries with swirling patterns. She is about to pick them when River picks her up]
River: "Leni, no!" [Grabs Leni, pulling her off-screen] "Those are poisonous." [Puts her down] "I just saved your life. You're welcome. Stick with me, kids. And not the fashion queen who almost sent you to the camp nurse."
[Leni is really upset now]

[Later, River is watching a black bird]
River: "Oh, see that bird way up there? Its kingdom name is Anamelia…" [The kids aren't very interested] "..and its phylum name is…"
Leni: [Pops up] "Boring!" [River collapses. She goes to the kids] "How about we make this fun? I've got four pieces of candy in my pocket. I'll give one to whoever spots a yellow bird, a red bird, a blue bird, and a black bird." [The kids get excited and get searching] " You may know your berries, but you def don't know how to talk to kids."
[It's now River's turn to grumble, feeling inferior]

[Later, Leni almost walks into a muddy ditch]
Leni: "Oh no, mud. [Gets behind the kids] I can't have my evening camp shoes ruined, too."
River: [Annoyed] "Here we go again with the shoes."
[Leni is also annoyed as River walks off. But then is surprised when River returns carrying a large log in his hands. River tosses it over the ditch. Leni and the kids are satisfied by this. River effortlessly carries all three kids across. But Leni is really unsure. River offers her a hand]
Leni: [Not wanting to look inferior again] "No thanks. I got this."
[Gets on the log, which starts spinning after one step. Leni tries to keep her balance but falls in the mud, ruining her entire outfit AND her hair. She gets up and spits the mud out of her mouth. All River can do is laugh at her expense]

[Later, River and the kids are walking along when River hears something]
River: "Ooh. Is that a waterfall I hear in the distance? Come on, kids. Let's check it out."
[The kids love the idea]
Leni: [Still muddy] "I don't know. That's not part of the hike-tinerary."
River: "Come on. It'll be cool. Plus, you can wash off all that mud."
[River and the kids laugh, but Leni is still mad. But her angry look disappears when she sees the waterfall]
Leni: [Awestruck] "Woah." [River can see Leni is enjoying the view and grins at her] "Okay, you were right. This was totes worth seeing."
River: [Sarcastically, but warming up to Leni] "Wait… I was right? Next you're gonna say you like my safari jacket."
Leni: [Also warming up to River] "Not in a million years."
[They both laugh now]
River: "Okay everyone! Time to head back."
[They all go back the way they came]

[They get back on the trail, but then River realizes something]
River: "Wait, what happened to the yellow markers I've been leaving behind?"
[The whole area is clear]
Leni: "Sorry, I thought you were littering and I was trying to clean up."
[Takes all the markers out of her backpack]
River: [Can't believe Leni] "Are you kidding me!? How do you expect us to get back to camp?"
Leni: [fed up with River] "Well maybe you should have brought a map. You certainly have enough pockets to put one in."
[River is so flabbergasted he can't even get any words out. He storms off. He and Leni officially going back to hating each other]

[Later, River is assembling a small shelter. Leni on the other hand it trying to get reception]
Summer: [Scared] "Do we really have to sleep out here tonight?"
Leni: "It's okay, we'll be able to find our way back to camp better in the morning."
River: "That's right there's nothing to worry about, gang. Statistically speaking, the number of wild animals in the woods."
[Suddenly the kids are more scared by the thoughts of lions, elephants and rabid monkeys]
Mimi: "Wild animals?!"
Summer: "What?"
Camper 3: "I'm scared."
River: "No, no, no, no. I mean… uh…"
Leni: [Still better at talking to kids] "Uh. He means wildly cute animals like fluffy bunnies and unicorns."
[The kids are relieved]
River: "Thanks."

[Later the campers stomaches are rumbling]
Leni: You guys must be hungry. I'll go find us some not-purple berries to snack on."
River: "No need. I got beef jerky, string cheese, and a couple apples." [Opens his jacket revealing plenty to eat. Later Leni and River watch the kids enjoy their food] "The jacket may not be fashionable, but it sure is practical."
[Leni rolls her eyes, with a smile on her face]

[The next morning, they are all headed back to camp]
River: "According to the sun, we're heading east and should be back at camp in no time."
[For now it looks like nothing could go wrong. Suddenly Mimi slips on a rock and falls over a cliff. And because of the safety rope the other campers go over with her. Leni manages to grab them quickly]
Leni: "It's okay! I've got you!"
[But the ground is very slippery. Leni ends up going over too! Just then, River grabs her]
River: "Hold on, I'll pull you guys up!"
Leni: "Careful! The ground is way slippery!"
River: [confident] "Not for Captain Toe Shoes!" [Digs his toes into the dirt and heaves, rescuing everyone. River helps Leni up and they both realize they're holding hands. They pull away quickly, blushing] "Uh, kudos on catching the kids. You have quick reflexes."
Leni: "That's from years of grabbing bargains at Black Friday sales. So, a point goes to the fashionista." [River clears his throat] "Fine. A point goes to your super grippy toe shoes, too."
River: "Thank you."
Leni: [Nudges River] "But they're still hideous."
[Suddenly there's a rustling noise in a nearby bush]
Summer: "Something's coming!!"
Leni: "Ooh, maybe it's a bunny, or a unicorn."
[Whatever it is, it lets out a large growl]
River: "I think it may be bigger, like a bear." [The kids scream, and even Leni is scared now] "No reason to panic. Everyone get behind me and I'll try and scare it off."
[River puffs his chest, goes to the bush and roars at it. The creature roars back and River roars louder. Just then Leonard pops out of the bush]
Leonard: "Well, it's nice to see you, too."
River: [Flinches] "Oh, Mr. Loud."
Leonard: "I'm glad I found you all."
[The campers cheer, run up and hug Leonard. Leni and River smile at each other]

[Later, they are finally back at camp, The kids run for the mess hall. River and Leni look at Leonard]
River: "Hey, so uh… I'm sorry we got lost."
Leni & River: "That was my fault."
Leonard: "Well, the important thing is you stayed calm and kept the kids safe. You make a great team."
[Leni and River appreciate that. Leni suddenly gets curious and looks at River who lets down his gorgeous hair. Suddenly Leni sees sparkles]
Leni: "O, M, gosh, Sparkles! Oh no, Sparkles!"
[Bolts]
Leonard: [Doesn't know what that means] "Is that some sort of nickname?"

[In her cabin, Lori is reading a magazine when Leni bursts in]
Leni: "Lori! We have a big problem."
Lori: "Are we out of sunscreen? Conditioner?" [Gasps] "Toilet paper?"
Leni: "No, the problem is River, the smog sandal ruiner. Except he's not smoggy. He's brave and resourceful and thoughtful. And he has great hair. I saw sparkles. I think I like him. Like, like-like him."
Lori: [Excited] "That's literally awesome! But why are you telling me? You need to tell him!"
Leni: "I can't do that. One, what if he doesn't feel the same? And B, camp is ending soon and he probably lives a million miles away. Oh, this is terrible!"
[Lori notices her magazine]
Lori: "Leni, you follow your horoscope faithfully. And what does it say today?" [Leni looks] "Be bold!"
Leni: "I thought that meant wearing a scarf that doesn't match my shoes."
Lori: "Sure, but it also means more."
[Leni thinks hard about it]
Leni: [Gives in] "Okay, then I'm going to be bold. In a not-fashion way."
[Sets off]

[Leni approaches the mess hall. Where River is about to exit with two plates of breakfast burritos. They bump into each other and tumble down the path. River sees he got eggs in Leni's eyes and then they both see more food on her shoes. Leni gets up and shakes it off]
River: "Oh, not again. I'm sorry, Leni. I was trying to bring you breakfast. I guess I'll just…"
[Sighs and leaves. Leni knows it's now or never]
Leni: "I like you! I mean, thank you. And also, I like-like you. And I don't care if you live on the other side of the world, like Arizona. This kind of sparkle only happens…"
River: "Leni, I like-like you, too. And I live in Hazeltucky."
Leni: "Get out!" [Shoves River] "That's next to Royal Woods where I live."
River: [Amazed] "No way, I work in Royal Woods! Maybe you've heard of the store Reininger's."
Leni: "Get OUT!" [Pushes River so hard he falls over] "I work at Reiningers, too. How come I've never seen you there?"
River: "I don't know! I work in Sporting Goods on the second floor."
Leni: [Confused] "Reininger's has a second floor?"
River: [Gets up] "Would you like to get some food? I promise I won't spill it on your shoes this time."
Leni: "It's okay if you do. That seems to be our thing."
[The two laugh and gaze lovingly at each other. They walk to the mess hall, hand in hand. The end.]
