[In the park, Arturo and Ronnie Anne are walking along, Arturo surprisingly gleeful]
Arturo: “What a beautiful day!” [Flutters over to Bruno’s cart] “Two glorious dogs dragged through the glorious garden please.” [Bruno gives them to him] “Thank you, my dear hot dog man.”
[Dips Bruno and kisses him on the cheek, then kisses the hot dogs]
Bruno: [A little weirded out] “Did your soccer team finally win?”
Arturo: “Not yet, that game's next week.” [Tosses the hotdogs up. Ronnie Anne catches hers in her hands, and Arturo catches his in his mouth. Arturo spins Bruno away, looks down, and gasps] “A squirrel.” [Picks the reluctant squirrel up and kisses its acorn. The squirrel shoves the acorn in Arturo’s mouth and hops off. Arturo is still gleeful. He picks up his hija and flutters off again] ”Who wants ice cream?”
[Later, Ronnie Anne is trying to balance a really tall ice cream]
Ronnie Anne: “Okay, something's up, Dad.”
Arturo: “What? A father can't just buy a hundred scoops of helada for his daughter?”
[Ronnie Anne’s ice cream is reaching into the sun, birds are circling around it]
Ronnie Anne: “Come on Dad, spill it.”
Arturo: “You always see right through me. The reason I've been so happy is because I've kind of... sort of been... dating someone.”
Ronnie Anne: “Dad, that's great. Who's the lucky lady?”
Arturo: [Slightly awkward] “Her name's Gina…” [Clears his throat while saying the rest, quickly] “Galiano.”
Ronnie Anne: “What? Sounds kind of like you said Galiano, but that can't be because that's my teacher.”
Arturo: “Actually, Ronita, it is your teacher.”
[Shoes her a selfie on himself with Ronnie Anne’s teacher, arms around each other. Ronnie Anne is so surprised she drops her ice cream and spits it all over her padre]
Ronnie Anne: “Sorry Dad.”

[At the apartment, Bobby spits his water on Ronnie Anne]
Bobby: [Gasps] “Dad's dating Ms. Galiano? Is my new name gonna be Bobby Galiano?” [Sips his water, and spits it on Ronnie Anne again] “I love it!” [Bobby scoops his water back into his cup and gets a call] “Hey, Lori. Bobby G. here.” [Bobby walks off]
Ronnie Anne: “Chihuahua, he really doesn't get it. This is awful.”
Carl: “Awful?” [Carl is currently searching the couch for loose change] “You hit the jackpot, Prima. You won't have to worry about tests or homework ever again.” [Finds a shiny gold coin. He bites it, it’s just candy] “She can't fail you if she's dating your dad.”
Ronnie Anne: “Really? Maybe you're right maybe this won't be so bad.”

[At school, Ronnie Anne has gotten her chapter five test back]
Ronnie Anne: “C minus?”
[The bell rings, Ronnie Anne sighs and starts to leave with the rest of the class]
Mrs. Galiano: [Stops Ronnie Anne] “Hi Ronnie Anne. I heard you're aware of my new dating situation, and I just want you to know... I'm not giving you special treatment.”
Ronnie Anne: “Clearly.”
Mrs. Galiano: “Oh, since I have you here... which outfit do you think your dad would like more?”
[Shows Ronnie Anne photos of herself wearing flashy... slightly inappropriate for a teacher to be wearing... outfits]
Ronnie Anne: “Uh…” [Backs away] “This is kind of weird for me... and by kinda I mean super... I'm gonna go. Bye.”
[Flees]

[Later, she and Sid are on the halfpipe at the park. They pass each other at the bottom]
Ronnie Anne: “Carl was definitely wrong…” [They pass each other again] “I think I'm actually getting harsher treatment from Ms. G…” [She’s coming down again] “And-”
Nikki: [Suddenly appears] “What’cha guys talking about?”
[Nikki and Sid pass each other]
Sid: “Oh, Ronnie Anne was just saying how…”
[Ronnie Anne yelps and jumps Sid from the top of the halfpipe. The dust settles to Ronnie Anne covering Sid’s mouth. She pulls Sid away]
Ronnie Anne: “Let's just keep this dad and Ms. G. stuff between us, it could ruin my social life.”
[Suddenly, Becky arrives, frantic]
Becky: “Guys! Guys! OMG guys!” [Runs up to Sameer, Nikki and Casey] “Guys, I just ran into Ms. Galiano at the pizza place, and I think she was on a date.”
Casey: “Oh, we gotta see this.”
[The four of them race off]
Ronnie Anne: “No, no, no, no, no, no, no.” [Looks over and sees Sergio break dancing with the pigeons] “Sergio! You gotta help me! My dad's about to come out of the pizza place and I don't want my friends to see him.”
Sergio: “Okay, but it’s gonna cost ya.”
[At the pizza place, Beck, Casey and Sameer are hiding behind a wall, Nikki hiding behind Sameer’s very big hair, Sid and Ronnie Anne join them. Mrs. Galiano walks out. Ronnie Anne can’t bear to look. Arturo walks out, with a stack of pizza boxes hiding his face, suddenly a swarm of pigeons attacks them and carries them away. Becky, Casey, Sameer and Nikki are disappointed, while Ronnie Anne is relieved]
Ronnie Anne: “You know what guys? Now that you mention it, I think I heard Ms. G. was dating the librarian.”
Nikki: “Whoa, power couple.”

[At school the next day]
Sid: “Great thinking Ronnie Anne. Everyone's talking about Ms. G. and the librarian.”
Ronnie Anne: “I know, it even made the school paper.”
[It is in fact in the paper, which Sid lowers]
Sid: “Uh-oh, breaking news. Your dad's here.”
[Arturo is indeed entering the classroom. An alarm sounds off as a red sign reading "DAD!" flashes]
Ronnie Anne: [Horrified] “What?! Why?!”
Arturo: “Sorry to interrupt, sorry. Ronita, you forgot your lunch, I told your mom I’d swing by and bring it.”
Ronnie Anne: “Oh, thanks, Dad.”
Arturo: “Oh hello Ms. Galiano.”
Ronnie Anne: [Ushers her padre away] “Okay, bye.”
[Arturo stops in the doorway, Ronnie Anne still trying to get rid of him]
Arturo: “May I have a word with you outside about... uh... educational things?”
Mrs. Galiano: “Oh, that does sound important.” [Goes to the hall] “Class, keep mathing until I return.”
[Ronnie Anne groans and returns to her seat]
Sid: “Close call.” [Ronnie Anne groans again, meanwhile, Becky is a little irritated with Sameer]
Becky: “Hey! Give me my pen back, Sameer.”
Sameer: [Not even paying attention to Becky] “So cool, now it’s blue, now red, now green. Oh, what a time to be alive!”
Becky: “I'm telling!” [Marches to the hallway] “Ms. Galiano!” [Sees Ms. Galiano and Arturo kissing each other] “Ew.” [Call back into the classroom] “Ronnie Anne’s dad is dating Ms. Galiano!
[Everyone comes and sees]

[Later, Ronnie Anne is walking through the halls in a trenchcoat and fedora]
Sid: “News spreads quickly around here.”
Ronnie Anne: “This is a nightmare. Oh, wait a minute, maybe it is a nightmare. I gotta wake up.” [Slaps herself repeatedly] “Wake up, wake up, wake up...”
Sid: [Picks up and shakes Ronnie Anne] “Stop! I will help you get through this! That's what besties are for. And who knows? Maybe they'll break up.”
Ronnie Anne: “Sid, that's it! We gotta break them up.”
Sid: “Ooh! I have an idea.”

[At the Chang’s apartment, Sid and Ronnie Anne are wearing hazmat suits, and are standing next to a caged animal]
Sid: “My mom's taking care of this striped polecat. Its spray is ten times stronger than skunks. We can use it to give Ms. Galiano some serious stank.” [Gives Ronnie Anne a microphone and takes out a radio] “He always sprays me when I sing karaoke.”
Ronnie Anne: “Then let's duet this thing.”
[Sid turns on the radio, and it starts playing the Twelve is Midnight cover of a very well known tune]
Sid and Ronnie Anne: "♫ Ooh, girl. If I could. Ooh, girl, give you the, ooh girl, world girl. Give you the-- ♫"
[As anticipated, the polecat gets mad and blasts them with his spray]

[At the school, Ronnie Anne enters the classroom]
Ronnie Anne: “Hi Ms. G. I just wanted to say... Sorry for not giving you tips on what my dad likes. So I brought a perfume that he loves.”
[Ronnie Anne gags and Mrs. Galiano takes the bottle]
Mrs. Galiano: “That sounds thoughtful Ronnie Anne, I’ll definitely use it tonight.”
Ronnie Anne: “Oh, and in case you were wondering, he's a sucker for mohawks. But you didn't hear it from me. Anyways, catch you later Ms. G.”
Mrs. Galiano: “Mohawks, huh?”
[Takes out electric hair clippers]

[At Amores Pizza, Arturo has a bouquet of flowers and enters]
Arturo: “Hi Ms. Gal-” [Freaks out when he sees his date with a spiky mohawk] “Aye.” [Sits, trying to be a gentleman] “I mean, cool new hairdo.” [Smells the polecat’s review of Sid’s karaoke] “What is that smell?”
Mrs. Galiano: “Just a new perfume I thought you might like.”
[The foul odor punches Arturo right in the face]
Arturo: “Why yes, very…” [Stuffs two filones up his nose] “Intriguing.”
[Later, the lovers are on the train, Ronnie Anne and Sid watching them from behind a newspaper]
Ronnie Anne: “Time to put them in a sticky situation. You got the stuff?”
Sid: “Yep, nature's glue... honey.”
[Arturo is just looking at Mrs. Galiano. He doesn’t see Sid pour honey on his hand]
Mrs. Galiano: “Arturo, why are you holding hands with another woman?”
Arturo: [Realizes] “It's not what it looks like.”
[His hand is stuck to Mrs. Kernicky’s]
Mrs. Kernicky: “This is my stop. Guess you’re coming with me to the gym.”
[Picks him up and carries him away]
Mrs. Galiano: “And now you're leaving with her?”
[The doors close. Mrs. Galiano is confused, and the girls are satisfied]

[Later, the girls are on the roof of the building, looking down at the streets, where Arturo is giving Mrs. Galiano a heart-shaped box of chocolate]
Ronnie Anne: “How are they still together?” [Angrily throws her binoculars, smoke coming out of her nose like a tauro] “Okay, new plan, I was saving this one as a last-ditch effort. It's time for Operation: Miscommunication.”
Sid: “Hey that rhymes.”
Ronnie Anne: “But first we need to suit up.”
[Ronnie Anne dawns a black hoodie. Sid pulls on her suction cup shoes. Ronnie Anne zips up her hoodie and ties a rope to herself. Sid puts on a sash. Ronnie Anne a knit cap. They are both ready. At Arturo’s apartment, he is playing virtual reality and Sid crawls down on the wall behind him. Ronnie Anne’s voice is narrating]
Ronnie Anne’s Voice: “Okay, first step of the plan, we need to sneak in and steal our cell phones.”
[Sid sees Arturo’s phone on the TV stand, she takes out a suction cup grapple and fires, but hits the TV screen. She tries to yank it off, Arturo unaware that he’s playing jump rope with Sid. The suction cup comes off the screen and lands on Arturo’s phone. Sid gets the phone, and looks at her view of Arturo]
Sid: [Revolted] “Ew, dad butt.”
Ronnie Anne’s Voice: “Then we change their contact info to someone else's.” [Sid changes the last two digits of Mrs. Galiano’s number. In the classroom, Mrs. Galiano is doing her paperwork, and doesn’t see Ronnie Anne lowering down on a rope behind her] “When they try to text each other they'll actually be texting the wrong person.”
[Thinking she’s alone, Mrs. Galiano lets one rip, inadvertently right into Ronnie Anne’s face. The smell is revolting to both of them. Mrs. Galiano walks off, and Ronnie Anne, after recovering her balance, gets Mrs. Galiano’s phone and changes the last two digits in Arturo’s number. Ronnie Anne pulls on the rope and gets lifted away, just as Mrs. Galiano returns with tropical air freshener, which she sprays]

[Later, Mrs. Galiano is sending a text]
Mrs. Galiano: [Thinking she’s texting Arturo] “I can't wait to give you sweet butterfly kisses.”
[Vito gets a text]
Arturo: [Thinking he’s texting Mrs. Galiano] “My feelings grow stronger every single day. With all my corazon. Which means heart by the way.”
[Bruno gets a text]
Vito: [Reading the text] “Sweet butterfly kisses? Whoa, whoa, Galiano? I thought she was the Arturo?”
Bruno: [Reading his texts] “Maybe not, look at all these hearts. I knew he liked my hot dogs but sheesh.”

[At school, Some girls point at Ronnie Anne, whisper amongst themselves and giggle. Ronnie Anne gets a phone call]
Ronnie Anne: “What's up Bobby?”
Bobby: “Ronnie Anne! bad news!”
Ronnie Anne: “You get your arm stuck in a vending machine again?”
[Bobby did in fact do that]
Bobby: “Well yes, but that's beside the point. Did you hear? Dad and Ms. G. broke up.”
Ronnie Anne: [To herself] “Yes!” [To her hermano] “Awe, that's too bad.”
Bobby: “I know. But I'm still going by Bobby G.”
Ronnie Anne: “Okay, bye Bobby G.”
[Starts victory dancing. Sid joins her from out of nowhere]
Sid: “What are we dancing about? Not that I need a reason.”
Ronnie Anne: “Our plan worked, my dad and Ms. Galiano are done.”
Sid: “Yay.”
[They gleefully go to class. They arrive to find Mrs. Galiano face down on her desk bawling her eyes out. Arturo arrives with Ronnie Anne’s lunch, and also crying]
Ronnie Anne: “Dad?”
Arturo: “Ronita…” [Sobs] “You… forgot… your… your lunch again.” [Keeps sobbing] “It’s a torta, sorry if the bread is soaked with tears.” [Keeps sobbing, but monetarily stops] “Hello Gina.”
Mrs. Gallano: [Also stops] “Arturo.” [Resumes sobbing]
Ronnie Anne: [Feeling horrible] “Oh man, Sid. What did we do?”
Sid: “We messed up.
[Ronnie Anne knows what she has to do]
Ronnie Anne: “Dad, Ms. G. I have to tell you something. It's my fault you broke up. I couldn't handle you guys dating so I sabotaged your relationship. I’m so sorry.”
Mrs. Galiano: “Well that's brave of you to confess, but you didn't break us up.”
Ronnie Anne: “I didn't?”
Arturo: “No Mija, we realized that we aren't a match and we're better off as just friends.”
Ronnie Anne: “That's such a huge relief. Wait, then why are you guys crying?”
Arturo: [Starts crying again] “Because my soccer team lost! We lost!”
Mrs. Galiano: “And I just tried out some new makeup. Ow! It’s turning my eyes into waterfalls!”
Arturo: [Starts swimming away] “Look away Ronita! I don’t want you to see me like this!”
Ronnie Anne: “Okay, bye Dad. stay strong.”

[Later, Ronnie Anne is with her friends, and Sergio, at the skatepark]
Ronnie Anne: “I am so glad that's over.”
Casey: “Ronnie Anne, isn't that your mom with the robotics teacher?”
[Maria is right over there with said teacher. Ronnie Anne gasps]
Sergio: [Squawks] “I got this Ronnie Anne.” [Whistles] “Come on, boys.
[Sergio and the pigeons chase Mr. Suarez away. Ronnie Anne and her friends approach Maria]
Maria: “Poor Mr. Suarez, he was asking me about a bunion cure.”
Ronnie Anne: [She and her friends realize] “Whoops.”
