Episode Information

"The Horror-Scope" is the eighth episode of the first season of The Casagrandes.

Plot

Ronnie Anne doesn't believe in an astrological prediction that "love will find her," until it seems to come true.

Synopsis

Ronnie Anne walks into the living room, and Rosa encourages her to come watch her favorite fortune teller on TV, Ernesto Estrella. Ronnie Anne obliges, and Ernesto believes that anyone with fire signs will find love. Rosa is excited, since she believes that Ronnie Anne will find love today. When Ronnie Anne dismisses this, she gets a call from Lincoln, who says that he's coming to city because Rita has a meeting there. Ronnie Anne expresses joy, and when she hangs up, Rosa believes that this is the first sign of Ronnie Anne finding love. Ronnie Anne, however, continues to dismiss it.

Sometime later, Lincoln arrives, and the two start to spend some time together. All the while, Sergio is instructed by Rosa to spy on them to ensure that a romance breaks out between them. As they hang out, Ronnie Anne catches Sergio, and starts to realize that Lincoln is slowly starting to show signs of affection, such as revealing the egg they took care of during that school project (and comparing the project to being good parents), Lincoln asking questions about dating advice, and asking if there's a place for them to be alone. As Ronnie Anne's fears kick in, Rosa suddenly appears behind them, suggesting they go to a fancy pizza restaurant. to which Lincoln and Ronnie Anne agrees.

At the apartment building, Sid, while trying to hunt for a certain bird, is approached by Ronnie Anne to be her wingman so she can kill the vibe whenever Lincoln starts to show signs of affection. Sid agrees, but has to leave if she ever spots the bird. As the three hang out, Sid spots the bird, and has to leave. Lincoln and Ronnie Anne arrive to the restaurant and Ronnie Anne attempts to stall for time in order to prevent Lincoln asking questions, such as asking Hector and his band to perform one of his songs (which Ronnie Anne stops when she realizes it's about love) and asking a waiter all the ingredients for one of their dishes. As the waiter lists the ingredients, Lincoln excuses himself and comes back wearing a suit. Now fearing for the worst, Ronnie Anne fakes having arthritis so they can leave.

Arriving back to the apartment, Ronnie Anne's anxiety reach critical level when Lincoln suddenly presents a wedding ring on one knee. All of a sudden, it turns out that Lincoln was actually preparing himself for a magic trick involving interlocking wedding rings. This revelation throws Ronnie Anne completely off.

"I'm really glad that we've stayed friends."

Sometime later, Lincoln is ready to leave, and explains that the questions about romance he was asking earlier were actually for Rusty, and not about himself. Before Ronnie Anne spills the beans that she assumed that Lincoln loved her, Rita arrives, and Lincoln leaves.

Back in the apartment. Ronnie Anne states that Ernesto's fortune wasn't true to Rosa, when suddenly, she catches the bird Sid was looking for, which Sid says is a lovebird. This causes Rosa to point out that Ronnie Anne's fortune did come true, which Ronnie Anne agrees with semi-realization, and Ernesto to reiterate that his fortunes never lie.
