Trivia[]

  • This episode reveals the following:
    • Dr. Lopez frequently says that "hurt people hurt people".
    • Liam has a cow named Betsy.
    • Rusty has a new girlfriend following his break-up with Charlie prior to "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". She works as a model, and she thinks Rusty is a bodybuilder from New Zealand.
    • Prior to this episode, Luan has only ever seen Scotty with his mime makeup.
    • Rusty personally rates Lincoln as a 6 and Liam as a 3.
    • Liam uses only one bag to clean up Betsy's poop, and he cleans the bag out twice a week.
    • On the first day of class, the Theatre Club was given name tags that only mentioned their first names; they had to mime out their last names. Luan mimed her name out by miming the act of yelling.
      • This further reveals that Scotty's last name is Shoemaker.
    • Scotty is very shy and does not like to show his face in pictures that get posted publicly.
    • Rusty is not comfortable with eating raw eggs.
    • Liam knows how to whittle.
  • Luan diving in front of Scotty to prevent Lori from washing his makeup off is similar to Lincoln saving Leni from becoming infected in the Loud House episode "One Flu over the Loud House" and preventing Gus from becoming splattered with spaghetti in "Love Me Tenor".
  • This is the last episode to be written by John Dale.
  • Innuendo: When holding up the bag of manure that he intends to drop on Chad, Liam mentions that in order to get it, he had to feed Betsy ravioli, and she "reacted just as [he] thought", implying that Betsy was aware that she was eating beef, which is cannibalism.
  • Irony:
    • Lincoln trying to disregard Chad's message inadvertently caused the Siri to Zia's phone to interpret it as a message to be sent, and he likewise inadvertently ended up sending it by questioning the option to send it.
    • Rita claims she and the girls are practically like sisters, but as soon as she peeks into Lori, Leni, and Luan's shenanigans, they instantly shut her out. Leni does peek out of the room, but only to claim her pink shorts from the laundry.
    • Lincoln assumed that Chad's text messages to Zia meant that they were dating, but he turned out to actually be responsible for upgrading her phone plan.
      • In addition, Lincoln put his hands on his head even though he decided that fighting was the wrong approach, prompting Liam to dump cow manure all over Chad as if he deserved it.

References[]

  • Another Stakeout - Leni suggests spying on Scotty akin to this 1993 buddy cop action film. Luan also guesses that she is referring to its prequel, Stakeout.
  • The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - The photo of Scotty on Halloween depicts him dressed as the Headless Horseman, the main antagonist of this 1820 short story by Washington Irving.
  • Verizon - The phone store that Chad works at, Horizon, is likely a pun on this telecommunications company.
  • Beauty and the Beast - When Lori and Leni leave to execute their plan to remove Scotty's mime makeup, Luan fantasizes herself and Scotty recreating the dance scene from this 1991 animated film and its 2017 live-action remake, with Luan as Belle and Scotty as the Beast.
    • This is the second time Luan has worn an outfit that resembles Belle's ballgown, after the Loud House episode "Head Poet's Anxiety".

Product Placement[]

  • League of Legends - Lincoln, Clyde, Zach and Rusty are depicted playing this 2009 multiplayer online battle arena video game developed by Riot Games.
  • Xbox Series X - The controllers that they use to play League of Legends belong to this game system manufactured by Microsoft.
  • Lay's - Luan is depicted eating the classic flavor of this brand of chips. (The label is genericized to "Chips" for trademark reasons.)

Errors[]

  • Lincoln and Clyde are depicted playing League of Legends with Xbox controllers, but Rusty tells them to push the circle, triangle and square buttons, which are the buttons on PlayStation controllers (corresponding to the B, Y and X buttons, respectively, on an Xbox controller).
  • The subtitles refer to Katie as DeeDee.
  • Zia's phone has Chad's text message, "I've been thinking a lot about our conversation...", before it's sent out.
  • When Lincoln says, "He texted with the wrong hombre", the closed-captions mistakenly spell it as "hombré".
