"The Princess and the Everlasting Emerald: A Royal Woods Fairytale" is the ninth and tenth episode of the first season of The Really Loud House. Although a two-part episode, each half is considered its own individual episode. Plot[]On the quest to give Charlie the perfect gift to remember him by Lincoln and his family put all of their talents on the line for the first ever Loud-a-palooza to save Flip's food and fuel. Synopsis[]Part 1[]Act I[]One night, Lily asks Lincoln to read her a bedtime story. After she passes up on two books, Lincoln offers to read her his own fairy tale: The Princess and the Everlasting Emerald. After a recap of how Lincoln fell in love with Charlie and eventually won her heart, the story begins with Charlie telling Lincoln that she is moving back to Tennessee the next day. In response, Lincoln and Clyde head over to Flip's Food & Fuel to purchase the Everlasting Emerald so she could remember him. However, Flip explains that it's $57,000, and that prices have skyrocketed because he has fallen on hard times and could lose the store. He asks Lincoln to help him, who reluctantly agrees after Clyde reveals he wants to go birdwatching. Flip also mentions that he has to ask the Loud parents a favor first. At the Loud House, Lynn Sr. is excited about Charity Week. Dressed in a baseball uniform, he asks Lynn, Luan, and Luna to help him, but they all have their own plans for the day, as do Lola and Lily. As he mopes about how the kids are growing up, Lincoln arrives and explains how Flip needs the parents' help. The parents are initially on board, but are confused when Flip explains he needs to pretend he's married to Rita and sired the Loud children. Flip explains that after he ran the Food & Fuel to the ground, he's been borrowing money from his more successful brother, Walter, under the pretense of helping his fake family, referring to Rita, Lincoln, Lisa, Leni, Lucy, and Lana. Walter is on his way to have dinner with the fake family, and if he finds out it's all fake, he will bulldoze Flip's to the ground. Lynn Sr. is immediately on board with the idea, while Rita reluctantly agrees. It is apparent, however, that Flip knows less about his fake family than he believes. He has Lisa and Leni pose as each other, Lucy as Luan, Lana as Lola, and Rita as his devoted, faithful wife. As for Lynn Sr., Flip has him cook dinner before deciding to lock him in the basement. As the two struggle, Lincoln finds himself torn between helping his father or helping Flip for Charlie, but ultimately helps Flip lock Lynn Sr. in the basement, just in time for Walter's arrival. Act II[]Flip introduces Walter to his fake family before deciding to start dinner. Lincoln enters the kitchen to catch Luna, Lynn, Luan, and Lola returning early from their activities, and hastily locks them up in the basement as well, claiming it is for Charity Week and that Lynn Sr. is okay with it. Inside the basement, Lynn Sr. is resentful he is not allowed to be involved with Charity Week, while the sisters get jealous that Flip is serving Lynn Sr.'s food. As dinner commences, Lynn Sr. climbs out of the basement, distracting the sisters by claiming Rita has hidden candy bars behind the washer. He enters the garage to find the costume box, but is attacked by a raccoon. Meanwhile, Flip congratulates Walter for the money he had sent "helping" his family, such as "Luan's" comedy classes and Rita's "thumb surgery". Lincoln tries to rush dinner by handing Walter's items, claiming it is Charity Week, but suddenly, Lynn Sr. arrives disguised as a German man. Act III[]Lynn Sr. introduces himself as Kristoff Bolschwarzenegger German Shepherd von Tropp, or Kristoff Bol for short. Flip and Lincoln pass him off as their handyman who lives in the basement. As they continue dinner, back inside the basement, the remaining sisters slowly get consumed by starvation, eating anything they can find. After dinner is over, Walter prepares to leave, but needs to use the restroom. Lincoln claims that Rita clogged the toilet, and suggests Walter use any restroom he can find on the way to the airport. Walter is so touched by the Louds' hospitality he decides to stay, having no plans for the next day. The sisters in the basement are horrified, and Lola takes over as their leader. Back in the living room, Walter gets a stomachache from eating too much of Lynn Sr.'s lava cake and has "Kristoff Bol" fix the toilet. Lincoln gets a call from Charlie, learning from her that the plans changed and that she is leaving tonight. Part 2[]Act IV[]Lincoln asks Lily if she is ready to finish the story and she excitedly confirms. After he recaps what happened previously in the story, he decides to pick up where he left off. With no time to waste, Lincoln calls Clyde to sabotage Charlie's bus that night. Clyde does so by stealing three tires from the bus. Meanwhile in the basement, Lola asserts her authority as the leader, forcing Lynn to get her something to drink and skewering anything she deems unsatisfactory with a makeshift weapon. The next day, the rest of the Louds resume their disguises, dreading having to do this for Flip and Walter's sake. Lincoln is confident Walter will leave immediately, but Walter, now fully rested, decides to do the activities Flip mentioned in his letters. The first task mentioned is Flip making weekend brunches, and despite Lynn Sr.'s belief that his kids would rather enjoy his own meals, Flip's meal turns out to be a hit, with Rita saying it is the best she's ever enjoyed. In the basement, Lola forces her starving siblings to beg for a gingerbread house Luan made. The family continues to perform the activities Flip mentioned in his letters, but Walter begins to get suspicious, given Lucy's creepy attempts at ventriloquy and comedy and Leni's "experiment" being a mere toaster. At the bus station, Clyde continues to stall for time, posing as a bus inspector. Flip's next activity is a sing-along, but despite Lynn Sr. believing Flip could never have the charisma to get his family to sing with him, they happily sing along. Walter enjoys the performance and asks "Kristoff Bol" if it would be nice to have a family, to which Lynn Sr. expresses jealousy. Back in the basement, Lola divides the gingerbread house for her siblings, but finds Luan had snuck some portions for Mr. Coconuts, and decides to settle the case in a trial by combat. Meanwhile, Walter decides to take a family photo, and Flip makes Lynn Sr. take the picture. Before doing so, Lynn Sr. snarls that while Flip can take as many pictures as he wants, it's still the Loud family, and after Walter leaves, Lynn Sr. will play charades without Flip. This causes Flip to make Walter stay a little longer and play charades. Act V[]Rita is reluctant to play charades, as she believes Walter has a long trip ahead. Lynn Sr. insists that he join the game, but Flip sends him to the garage to remove the raccoon. Meanwhile, Clyde continues to pose as a bus inspector, insisting that the passengers empty their luggage so he can "figure out" who stole the tires he himself had stolen. Lynn Sr. enters the garage to remove the raccoon, but finds that it has escaped the costume box as it ambushes him once more. After chasing it off, he passes by the window to find his family happily playing charades with Flip and Walter. Unable to handle his jealousy anymore, Lynn Sr. bursts through the front door and exposes Flip's ruse to Walter. A furious Walter orders Flip to hand over all the money he'd sent by sundown, or else he will destroy the Food & Fuel and the Everlasting Emerald with it. With the Louds in their normal outfits once more, Lynn Sr. admits it was his fault for getting jealous of Flip who claims it was his fault as he enjoyed having a family so much he didn't want it to end. Lincoln admits it was his fault all along, revealing his motive to help Charlie. The Louds realizes there is still hope: they can use their talents to help raise the money to save Flip's, hosting a Loud-a-palooza. This ends up catching the attention of the feuding sisters in the basement. Walter exits the Loud House and expresses his belief that the Louds aren't talented. Lincoln retorts that Walter hasn't met the real Louds, as the others exit the basement. They are also joined by Lori, who has come back from college to help, and Liam, who offers pony rides with his horse, Lightning Bolt. With the players in position, the Loud-a-palooza begins. Act VI[]The Louds set up the Loud-a-palooza and gather a massive audience to raise funds while singing a song about saving Flip's. Unfortunately, they end up merely racking up $56,998. Meanwhile, the bus driver unravels Clyde's ruse and gets Charlie and the other passengers on board. Walter prepares to destroy Flip's Food and Fuel, but as he gives the countdown, Flip hurries into his store and retrieves his first-ever $2 bill, which he uses to make the final contribution. With Walter defeated, Flip offers Lincoln the Everlasting Emerald. Clyde shows up at the Loud-a-palooza to inform Lincoln that Charlie is now leaving. Flip suggests that Lincoln take a shortcut, but Lincoln laments that he can't go that fast. Liam offers Lightning Bolt's speed to assist Lincoln in catching up to Charlie. Lincoln rides Lightning Bolt to catch up with Charlie's bus, and she immediately orders the driver to stop. He offers the emerald in remembrance, and Charlie accepts and kisses him after declaring she will never forget him. Lincoln concludes the story by saying that Flip kept the Food & Fuel and Charlie never forgot Lincoln. When Lily asks if they lived happily ever after, Lincoln admits he hopes so and that question will be answered in the future. Cast[]
