Afraid of failing her PE exam again, Lucy recruits the Morticians Club to help her pass.
Synopsis[]
At the elementary school, the fourth graders are taking Coach Pacowski's physical fitness exam. In order to pass this exam, the students need to hit a baseball, kick a football, and run through tires. While a majority of the students are able to pass, Lucy is the only one who struggles, and thus, she is unable to pass. Pacowski tells Lucy that she can try again tomorrow, but informs her that it's also her last chance, because if she fails, she'll have to repeat the fourth grade all over again. Not wanting to repeat fourth grade all over again, Lucy suggests that she and the other Morticians use magic to help her pass her exam.
Using a magic kit Persephone got for her birthday, she tries an array of magic spells to help Lucy become more fit. However, all of the spells she suggests end up backfiring in some way.
First, they create a potion in order to make a pair of running shoes run on their own, but before Lucy could put them on, they run away.
Second, Persephone tries to use a magic wand in order to make Lucy older (so that she automatically moves up a grade), but ends up transforming her into an infant, and then an elder.
Last, the club attempts to make Pacowski drink some coffee spiked with a "memory-be-gone" potion to make him forget Lucy needs to take the exam, but when he drinks it, it transforms him into a lizard (where the label reads "May cause dizziness... or lizardness")
After catching their coach-turned-lizard in the hallway, Lucy discovers a photo in the trophy case of a star athlete from the 1920s named Speedy Edie. Thinking this is her key to pass her exam, Lucy enlists the others to follow her to the cemetery.
Speedy Edie enters.
Later that night, at the cemetery, the club proceeds to summon the spirit of Speedy Edie. The summoning proves to be successful, as Edie arrives and asks who she needs to help. When Lucy states what she needs help with, Edie agrees to help her. The next day, Lucy, now possessed by Edie's spirit manages to pass her exam with flying colors. Thinking their work is done, Edie is prepared to head back to the afterlife, but when she brings up having the state record for the fastest time in a long-distance run, Haiku reveals that someone broke her record. Unable to live this knowledge, since it means that wise guys in the afterlife will never let her live it down, Edie tells Lucy that she needs to possess her again so she can reclaim her record, but Lucy refuses. This prompts Edie to begin heading back to afterlife, bemoaning that she'll spend eternity in shame, only for Lucy, completely guilt-tripped from her complaining, to relent and let Edie possess her.
Following afterwards, Edie begins to put Lucy through some rigorous training, like doing jumping jacks, running on a treadmill at max speed, lifting a barbell, and pulling Liam's tractor full of animals up a short hill. Later, after the Morticians set up the finish line, they spot Lucy approaching fast and she crosses the line. Unfortunately, Edie discovers that they missed the record by four seconds, prompting her to state that they'll push the exercising even harder, but Lucy, completely exhausted, states that she can't keep up. This makes Edie tell her that if she refuses to help, she'll tattle her out to Pacowski. With no other options, Lucy decides to set things right.
Lucy passes her test the right way.
At the elementary school, Lucy confesses to Pacowski that she cheated by possessing herself with a ghost, and asks if she can take the exam again. Pacowski, after admitting that he's heard weirder stories, agrees. Later, it's revealed that Lucy managed to pass the exam, as all of the exercising Edie put her through actually helped her out. As for Edie, she still wants to reclaim her record, and has decided to possess Boris, due to him being more aerodynamic thanks to his hollow bones.
Lynn has no lines in this episode, but is listed in the credits because she can be heard laughing. Additionally, Luan has no lines by herself.
Trivia[]
This and its sister episode mark the eighth episode where Lincoln is absent in both segments.
The title of this episode refers to Speedy Edie, as she was Royal Woods Elementary School's star athlete in the 1920s, and her spirit is summoned by the Mortician's Club.
The title card for this episode has a similar appearance to the title card for "Bye Bye Birthday", as it also depicts an item of interest in a summoning circle.
Coincidentally, both episodes focus on Lucy.
Boris mentions his hollow bones from "Ghosted!" when he explains to Lucy how aerodynamic he is.
This episode reveals the following:
Coach Pacowski dreads kindergarten gymnastics.
Boris is strong enough to carry Lucy.
Thanks to his time on S.S. Fun Times cruise, Bertrand is a talented salsa dancer.
Dante's footwear is revealed to be black flats.
According to the Mortician's Club, they claim the one thing they do best is magic, while Morpheus thinks it's complaining.
When Persephone turns Lucy into a baby, her design is reused from The Loud House Movie.
He is also the first Royal Woods Elementary School member to appear in Season 8.
Additionally, this marks the first appearance of the Royal Woods Elementary School gym room since "She's All Bat", another episode that focuses on Lucy.
This episode and "InTODDnito" both mark the first pair of episodes since Season 4's "Brave the Last Dance" and "Sister Act" to have Royal Woods Elementary School appear in two episodes in a row.

Errors[]
Possible plot hole: If Edie was a star athlete of the elementary school, her photo should depict her as a child instead of an adult. However, it is possible the photo was taken later in her life.
