It was Take Your Daughter to Work Day at Lynn Sr.'s job,
So all of the Loud girls ran out in a mob.
Lincoln dressed up in drag and said, "I'm coming too!",
But Lynn Sr. said, "Seriously, we all know it's you."
Rita said, "Being left out ain't okay,
So I'm making, at my work, Take Your Son to Work Day."
Lincoln and Rita stepped out of the house,
But he went back to get changed when he saw Mr. Grouse.
He thought Rita's work was a boring place to be.
All the comics were about teeth and there wasn't much to see.
He pretended the chair took him to outer space,
When he heard Lana shout. With shock on his face,
Lincoln cried, "Lana?!" and took a peek out.
In his dad's office, his sisters were leaping about.
His dad worked nearby?! He could not believe his eyes!
Then Rita had him play with dental supplies.
He dressed up and pretended to be Agent Loud,
But that didn't seem as fun as the female crowd,
Who were having a blast with their rubber dart fight.
It made Lincoln feel quite jealous at the sight.
Rita asked Lincoln to feed Fisher, her pet.
Linc said, "He's dull, but I could make it fun, I'll bet,
If I pretend that he's some sort of savage sea creature."
He then saw a zip line, a way more fun feature,
In his dad's office, which made Lincoln sigh,
But he perked up when he saw an arcade nearby.
He went to the arcade without Rita knowing,
But then, she said, "Lincoln, I'd better be going,
To help Dr. Fenstein, I hope you don't mind,
Looking after my notebook," but he left it behind!
It contained a story that she was working on,
So she wouldn't be able to replace it if it was gone.
Lincoln didn't know what Rita would say,
When he went to the arcade and found it being thrown away.
The garbage man came and he grabbed skates and a horse.
Why? To chase after the garbage truck, of course!
It fell off the truck and it flew in the air.
A man nearly ate it, which gave Lincoln a scare.
He grabbed it, but water sprayed it out of his grip,
And it flew to a girder. This was one wacky trip!
Linc climbed up, grabbed the book, and the down the boy went.
He saved it but both feet got caught in cement.
Rita said, "Where have you been?!", and then she was annoyed,
When the notebook was dirty and then it got destroyed.
Lincoln told Rita about what went down,
And she said, "Well, you lied, and that makes me frown,
But it's given me an idea for my novel too.
I'm going to base my protagonist on you."
She used a drill to free Lincoln from the cement.
They grabbed skates and a horse and then back home they went.
