Linc was on his way to the intern fair with Clyde.
The boys, wearing ties, both strutted with pride.
They thought, "We have to do our best to look cool,
So we can be interns at Flip's Food and Fuel".
Upon hearing they weren't crimials, Flip hired the boys.
They were excited to see the store's joys.
He taught them to clean his car with his... own sweat?
And to adjust use-by dates, but they still said, "You bet!",
When he asked the boys if they were up for the task,
Then he said, "You two boys, do you mind if I ask,
You if you can work as best as you can?
'Cause I'll promote the best one to number one man."
The boys said, "No way, we're a team, don't you see?",
But Flip promised them endless cold Flippees for free.
Lincoln gave Lana a snack and some gas.
Clyde cleaned the bathroom after Lola gave sass.
An old woman complained that the microwave broke,
So Clyde used the hand dryer. "Is this a joke?!
It's taking too long!", so Linc grabbed the crone's chow,
And heated it with car fumes. She liked it somehow!
Linc left Clyde but said, "I'm not as mean as I seem."
Then Clyde helped out Lynn and her all-girls sports team.
Flip said, "You worked so well it's hard to decide,
But I think I will give the promotion to Clyde!".
The boy wearing stripes and the only Loud brother,
Both accused one of competing with the other.
Then Linc said, "I deserve to win just as much as Clyde!
Can you help me out?" "Well, you see," Flip replied,
"You could be supervising manager I guess,
But you'll have to be the best intern. I don't expect less."
Lincoln cleaned old Flip's gross cheese sauce machine,
And he got promoted when it was clean.
Clyde glared at Lincoln. He wanted the cup!
Flip said, "Senior supervising manager's a step up!".
So Clyde cleaned the gutter but Linc gave a frown,
And said, "I am not taking this sitting down!".
He cleaned out the dumpster and got his cup back,
But this whole internship was going out of whack,
For Clyde did the laundry and got a higher rank,
And Lincoln cleaned Flip's feet even though they stank.
The boys began to argue over who outranked who.
Then Flip said on the phone what he was trying to do:
The promotions weren't real, he was trying to fool,
Them into working better at Flip's Food and Fuel.
The boys said, "We're sorry for being so bad.
Let's both work together and not get all mad."
They showed Flip a recording of him being shifty,
And blackmailed him into working for them. Nifty!
And perhaps the grossest thing that went on,
Was when a beaten-up Flip had to clean the john.
